Nataanii Means- Warrior

- In today's society we're quick to use the word 'Warrior', but in a lot of Indigenous People's language across Turtle Island, that word is translated into many different definitions. In this video I chose to travel the country to different events and locations to depict our modern day warriors, in everything they do, because all of us are fighting to survive in one way or another. Which brings it back to why in our languages, the definition isn't limited to one.

hip hop stole its life from all that came before them an all that or ancestors had fought for before they came..Traitor young bloods.. hip hop sucked.
keep on keeping it real..most of them doing time now or dead.

That’s why they cut the trees.
I am with you warrior .. Sikhs from India from Punjab have had a similar warrior blood like native Americans .. we are all one warrior
The food culture is what actually connects us.
Lakota Sioux and proud. We are still here fighting against all odds. Growing up my mom always made my native blood feel like a curse. Because the problems that plague Native Americans . I look at the many scars, fights lost and won as a testament to the strength of our people. We can keep going against all odds, we will keep going.
Brother, feeling the difficulties on our skin reminds us that we are alive. Years ago, I had a stroke. I survived. I still had a long way to go. I understood what the real priorities of life were. None of them were material. Later, to avoid the risk of other strokes, I had heart surgery, on my birthday. I considered this episode as a precious gift. The doctors told me that I should avoid two things: boxing and martial arts. And I, to earn a living, have been teaching martial arts since 1984... But even then I did not curse my difficulties. During the Covid pandemic, I hosted at my home, for two years, a friend who fights, professionally, in the international MMA circuits. My friend took care of me. Little by little, we began to train together, and I ended up, at 58, having sparring sessions like those of young competitors. Now I am 60 years old. The medical tests I periodically undergo indicate that I am in great shape. I still train, I still teach, and I can support my family. I am Italian, but my wife and the child I took into care are Chinese. I am a member (the only Italian) of a Chinese cultural association, with which I promote mutual understanding and mutual respect between the Chinese who live in Italy and the Italians. I make sure that the child I took into care knows his culture of origin and mine too. I know that you will not give up. But I hope, however, that I have further encouraged you with my story. I am you and you are me. There is no difference.

Much love and respect from Greece 🌿🇬🇷 A positive aspect about the Internet is that you can reach people all over the world, and via creative ways (like this song) make us aware of what your People are going through and their reality/daily lives, so hopefully we can somehow, someway contribute to make a positive change. Thank you for the lyrics and the video, I learned a lot I didn't know(also thank you youtube for putting this in the suggestions). Please continue with the music, it means a lot to the world.
Look up a Tribe Called Red also look up the 1491's.
Hello from Tucson Arizona. I was stationed in Macedonia for a time. Beautiful country I want to go back to,
Descendent of the Maya people. Love to all my native brothers and sisters
The Native people were strong in the past as they are today. No one can break those who are strong. The native people can’t be erased no matter what. Your ancestors stand with you. Stay strong stand tall always
For all native Americans don't back down
Thanks bro
This song is everything...unsguarcoated...talented...Native Indigenous life experiences that cannot be silenced.
Love the meaning to this tune... I take for granted how much our cultural and heritage was suppressed and we are still here. Fighting everyday to tell the world that us Native Peoples are alive and proud. I have to remember what we been through as a nation and use that same determination, pride, and self-respect to get me through this hard time I am going through at this moment in my life. #NativePride #RezLife

we are still here, and fighting.
Finally was given the opportunity to meet Nataani Means in person and hear his music LIVE **lelelelelele** It was a honor and hope you come back to Treaty 6! The ending of this music video always chokes me up because of who it was dedicated to, your words your message is powerful, and just hearing them all do their war cries really really hits ya in the heart. Makes me PROUD to be Nehiyaw!

Indigenous Americans unite!
Brown Pride is Red Pride ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
Puerto Rico too!!!🇵🇷 we are indigenous too..we are here to support!!
Tlacatecolotl as a South American I know where the Spaniards get the race red from. It’s because the Amazonian Amerindians covered themselves in achiote. Some natives covered only some parts with Annatto also known as achiote and others only their hair and others did the whole body. In Ecuador the term red race is still used. I don’t know other places. Achiote is a Nahuatl word, so I’m guessing southern Mexicans used it on their bodies too not anymore but maybe they used to. I don’t know why it’s applied to natives in USA because they don’t use achiote but prolly because we look the same racially, dark skinned with asiatic eyes. I dunno but we South Americans have that term red race too but only used by government and school history books at least in Ecuador yeah and most definitely Brazil where the red paste covered indigenous mostly live. Here so you can see how red they are ruclips.net/video/pfG8goaN6gA/видео.html it’s a horror movie but they do cover themselves red like that.
I love you all. I represent my Native Nations and I'm fighting for this water, land and freedom. Stay Strong my Native people.

Definitely justice. They can’t get rid of us all. We don’t die, we multiply. 😎
I see you carrying on your father's important legacy, but in your unique and brilliant way. Thank you and blessings.
black, brown, and native people come together, and the white folk who genuinely want to help the cause are welcomed too.
I'm white, wish I had the money to leave my home to travel and protest and help those in need who aren't white, especially natives. I love my ancestors people of today. (The Lakota Oglala and Tsewogi (Cherokee). I would like to try to speak to congress directly about problems like Russel Means and join AIM. 😣
+Leslie Lucero that's all bs wtf?
the Eskimos derived from Asia and the story goes they crossed through Alaska when glaciers froze,That was in the past I don't have anything against whites. What happened centuries ago, I did not have control over neither did you.
Leslie Lucero What are you saying we fight?
Leslie Lucero Okay but tell me this I'm not trying to disrespect you but I've read what you said and I agree with most but why you using the bible? and using what they said inside of it? I'm just curious because the whites forced that upon our people and then the priests would rape our children in the residential schools and try'd taking the Indian out of us so I see it as the whites wrote the bible too fool people into believing a false god? I'm not saying Jesus is not real because I'd love to believe it but not when they killed my people in the name of Jesus or god you get what I'm trying to say? I feel like they are trying to mislead us... you talk a lot about whites but whites are the one who wrote the bible to keep us in line... you feel?
The mask at the end, ironic with covid now...
Seems that many people predicted it, and not to mention we were wiped out by the original covid.
this is still one of the best musics out there native pride all day every day

Native Americans Discovered Columbus...TRUE THAT
Actually Columbus didn't discover America it was already discovered I watched a Documentary on it.
Haha I got a B in history in the 9th grade. Becuase I said nope. Christopher Columbus didnt discover shit. My teacher said said watch your mouth. I said how cam you discover a place when people are already there? He told me to wait outside. So I did. And he said ill give you a B in class. If you stay outside or dont show up. I took it.
@@joeyfromcali An educator afraid of facts, sad
Dude I got expelled from a public school for flipping out on the "teacher" for this same truth! Lol I was told that I was a disruptive student and couldn't be trusted around the rest of the student population. I took it, and have continued to protest against the mis education. Our ancestors deserve the truth to be known
@@dreadedhippiesrescues3814 - I don't exactly condone getting expelled, but gotta give props to anyone willing to speak the truth (for y'all youngins future sake, plz do your best to stay in school n graduate successfully - we're gonna need all the intelligence backing the warriors!) Full disclosure I was born bucking the system - a natural born rebel against BS n authority. I dropped out, did night school, went back a senior n got expelled right before graduation BUT (thanks to a righteous stranger taking a stand, started a petition n got the other 50 witnesses + to sign - proved teachers lied, charges dropped, allowed to test n walk❣ 🤺🙏✌💞) I graduated n got the real diploma! 🤷♀️⚖😁💃🙏✌

I love it! As a white boy (actually native Italian from Sicily) I've always had a connection with native American. I went to school with them here, with many tribes. I found that even they didn't always like each other even though native, yet different tribes. I have been good friends with Tohono O'odham, Pima, yaqui, lokato (I was married to a direct descendant to Chief Redcloud. And I've found all these people were human beings that I could bond and connect with. point being, all people can get along. just depends on the spirit that guides you. My guide taught me to love all people, especially natives. And all of you, no matter which tribe, I love you all. Deep down you are all my brothers, my sister's and I love and appreciate you all. From the white guy Italian scicilan to yours. peace be to you and to yours and may the great spirit bless you all.
