@@josephbeaton8909 Well you can get the class item from any chest on the pale heart after first mission completion, so that makes sense. P.S It was that way prior to them "patching" the double item farm

@@R6SpeedRacer05 No, it can be the regular excision as well, any activity on the pale heart that has a chest or even just chest when free-roaming the pale heart, and even overthrow chests all have a percentage change to drop the class item. If you visit the ghost at the old tower and hover over the item, it explains it can drop from anything on the pale heart besides kills
My solution would be to add it to the path finder o stead of ergo. Ergo is easy enough to farm by doing the Daily overthrow area.

For sure, not to mention with farming it in the first place is rough but then getting the roll you want!? This would be great. I already got like 6 good ergo sums, I literally feel no reason to get another at this point 😂

This is a two-sided problem. This was clearly a bug. We as players can't bitch about bugs and demand they be fixed but then bitch when they fix bugs that benefit us. On the other side it does feel like Bungie tends to fix bugs that benefit us real quick while we are made to wait on the bugs that hurt us. Both sides need to do better.
See my problem with it is, Yes it was unintentional as we was glitching the game, but you had to have 2 of the same class, you had to get the timing right and even then you could get 2 absolutely dog shit rolls there is a 1/64 chance of getting the one you want which is horrid odds for 1 at a time
@variare It is. You just don't like it. My argument still stands. Either we as a community stfu about all bugs, or we accept that we are going to lose the ones we like just as much as they need to fix the ones that hurt us a little faster. Just because you were able to glitch the game and get something out of it doesn't mean they owe you the result of that glitch indefinitely. Most of us enjoyed it while it lasted, and now it's time to move. on.

Stating the odds doesn't make your case either.Because those of us who've been playing this game and choose to continue playing this game understand that for most activities, the loot drops are RNG. My thought would be to make it official and running 2 of the same class meant double drop. More incentive to actuallly run the activity compared to running around opening chests.
Or another option to obtain the class item.
I just find it funny that whenever there is a glitch that benefits us they fix it fast but when it hurts us they get around to it when they feel like it.

clyde echoing what the community is asking for the forums. with the glitch being fixed, the most efficient way to get a item is mindrot inducing chest farm from zone to zone. unsurprisingly, nobody wants to do it.
Accumulative percentage gains every time you “don’t” get the item on any pale heart chest. Different stacking from open world versus event chests (overthrow). Here’s my idea:
Open world Chests base chance = 2%
- for every chest you fail to acquire X class item, gain a stacking 2% per opened chest.
Overthrow Chests base chance = 5%
- For every chest you fail to acquire X class item, gain a stacking 5% per opened chest.
Any instance of having to put forth more effort towards a reward deserves a higher yield chance in my opinion.
Side note: these percentages do not stack with each other and are seperate gained percentages that are tracked as long as you are present on the Pale heart. Going to orbit resets all gained percentage.
It would be nice if the focus missions had guaranteed exotic class item drops since they are also rigorous, team based missions. Stuff like that. Like you said, just have more ways to grind them out.
A cool idea is add a secret chest during the mission or some secret thing to get at the end of the mission for 2 rewards or have a 2x reward week for that mission
I would recommend making it a random strike drop, its easy to do its matchmaking and u get people to do strikes more

That's a whole mood. The only people I played with were my brothers, but they both quit.
Good thing LFG exists and there’s tons of people just like you looking for people to play with. You don’t need to be friends, just a common goal to complete the mission. If speaking to strangers is so deathly frightening than you have bigger problems than not getting the exotic class item

They should make it so every dual destiny you do, you get a class item and a class item key, which can be used to get any class' exotic class item, adds back double drops and also means u can farm 2 class' exotic items at once
I don’t think that mission is gonna get a lot of attention anymore specially due to that glitch being patched. I believe now it’s actually much faster to farm chest than to do one of the missions.
It’s also a lot easier. I’m glad they made it farmable in the pale heart, but staying in one place to get it at a 4% chance gets boring.
If you’re an expert on the mission you can still get it down in 20 mins while the open world chests can sometimes take an hour to drop smth. But there should definitely be another way

@@ministryofwrongthink6962Yes it only works when you beat it for the first time, but it’s still a pain having to run around all day to farm chests to get it to drop. With one of my homies I play with, we get it down with like 20 mins remaining cause it’s just that easy
Pathfinder would have been perfect to farm class items after unlock instead of ergo, which you can already farm from the weekly overthrow
I honestly think that if you can get that kind of teamwork you deserve them both.
its not even a hard mission lol. its just gated in a sense behind 2 people. the mission itself is 100x easier then any other timed exotic mission we have had

The pinnacle campaign mission chests can also drop the exotic class item
Any chest opened in the pale heart has a chance to drop the class item. All campaign missions are in the pale heart. When they say any pale heart chest they mean any pale heart chest

I’ve only gotten a single class item and I tried 7 times on LFGs every time no one wanted to communicate I was doing all the mechanics and having to explain what we had to do but every time I’d get stuck on the clock thing and I just had to leave the match because no cooperation. Like I don’t even wanna keep trying LFGS… it’s a waste of my time and I don’t get why people can’t just communicate. I’m not asking for them to tell me their whole life all I need is game mechanics comms.
if u got 1 then just farm chests in the pale heart its faster than doing the mission also there's good Lfgs like mactics and other youtubers who have an active community
You're wasting time by trying to do it on LFG. Just get it once, farm chests in The Landing, teleport out, do it again. Should get one every 15-20 minutes, give or take.
If u cant get a second player to do this mission with you, realistically you dont need it, because its a powerful item not really necessary for solo
I mean, once you do it once on the respected character. You can get class items from activities in the Pale Heart. I've gotten them from Lost Sectors and Overthrow chests.
Imo having it on pathfinder but having it be an extra reward for doing "blackout" and doing all of those tasks. So you'd get Ergo and the exotic class item together. Would get more people to do all of the pathfinder stuff, rather than just doing the easiest line and doing the reset. And there'd be more people grinding, just not only one single mission, but all different tasks
Right as they patched it, they increased the odds of finding it in the chests.
If you did the math doing each activity ends up getting a class item every 12-15 min. (2 every 21-25 min)
And they buffed the chest drop rate to be.... About one every 12-15 min opening as many chests as possible.
So they buffed the solo method to be on par with the bug, and then removed the bug.....

I've received the class item from the master lost sector when the lost sector rotation is at the pale heart
I think they should be able to drop as a trials and gm reward. Just to broaden the sources to get it
There should be a way to do most activities solo but there's a small incentive (besides fun factor) to do it with a fire team. Super simple fix and one that other games pull off extremely well.

The gm took me ~34 minutes my first time, and 38 when I did it with my clan. Whatever alternate source the class items drop from should absolutely not be slower than what it is already.
I’d argue, there are some exotics for Prismatic, that can be just as good, if not better, than the class exotics. Such as Heart of Inmost Light, or Tricksleeves with Traveler’s chose. Even exotics like Hard Light, or Borealis can be good on Prismatic because of the added variety.
They could just make another exotic class item but this one only has one exotic slot and you can earn it from the ritual playlist. This way if they want the class item with 2 perks you have to go farm it from the mission
I agree completely. it took me 32 chests to get a random drop which took more time than running the mission again
Overthrow chests also reward them, I’ve got 5 of them to drop from overthrow boss chests.
Make it a high chance drop from final boss overthrow chests like ergo sum
We have always had solo exotic missions. I don't understand why this had to become just a dual mission.

Pathfinder should give you a choice of ergo sum or class item.
The mission should give you two exotics To be more worth it than any other source, and to encourage people to play it, since they did put a lot of work into it, presumably, and it should be the main pursuit. Fits the whole dual theme too. However, you should still be able to get these exotics from different sources. Just less frequently than if you would do the actual mission.
they should make it a world drop and keep the random rolls for whenever you get it from an exotic engram. This way you can still get it guaranteed from the mission while outside of it you just get a chance to get it like from the chests in the pale heart
Just feel like it takes too long to end up getting a crap roll especially for all 3 characters
yes definitely plus perk pool is that much big that rng thing is a nightmare if they do like get newer perks only or then one which we are not having that thing is much better
Took me 3 days of farming chests to get my caliban liar roll it was horrible.
You can do final boss overthrows to get the class items, there’s a slight chance of getting them but I’ve done it like 5 times and 2-3 out of those times I got a class item, not the best but you can get a great flow going after a while, fastest completion I’ve done is around 7-10 minutes
you can literally farm it after doing it once. but opening chests in the pale heart. i get 3 about every hour
They should 100 percent make it also have a low drop rate chance at the end of certain activities
I feel like when the lost sectors are PED activity in the pale heart it should reward the player for a solo complete like how one would get the newer exotics
yeah, another source would be good, maybe a choose your reward in pathfinder. I've just been collecting chests while doing overthrow/pathfinder. Casually got like 6 or 7 so far not playing much. Something more guranteed would be nice for such a crucial item.
I did unlock the mission but have yet to run it. Need to fond someone. There should be another way to get drops.
Double drops was nice, I’ve been running clan & friends through, this is a great activity
I want the droprate to increase abit for pale heart chests, can take ages sometimes to get one, for it to be a bad roll is annoying
I think they should’ve kept it, but makes the drops for it even rarer to get the double drop.
Patch it but make it a feature, a secret extra chest that if you can solve the puzzle drops another one per run.
Patch the bug and buff the patrol chest drop rates and I think we have a good deal for both parties. Excision is matchmade and also drops the items.
Solution? Make it craftable but you gotta do gms or the mission to unlock the perks similar to how the new rework for something like whisper is ? Thoughts?

I completed every legendary campaign solo, i deserve that damn class item. Especially considering there's virtually no reason to do the legendary campaign anymore when you can just get the new exotics from Rahool.
Lfg with final shape just feels impossible sometimes and I just literally gave up after the raid. Haven't done the exotic mission once cause I want to be surprised going in but know not a single person would want to do that. And I simply don't got any d2 friends to do it with otherwise lol.
I would love to have someone to play with LFG is truly a nightmare. I got kicked 6 times today alone.

Pathfinder should reward 2 swords first then a extoic class item on every reset.
Don’t know if this is well known but I have consistently gotten an exotic class item from co-op focus story missions dissent seems to always give me one on the second chest
The glitch fix is whatever, even the acquisition time from chest farming is fine, I grab 1-2 a day and its usually 20 minutes a pop. But the lack of dupe protection or focusing is hurting. Getting back to back ophidian + trash rolls, or never once seeing spirit of armamentarium or bear, is starting to get grating. I'd kill for a crafting system to be honest, but that feels so unlikely.
Overthrow was dropping them fairly consistently for me. I would just do that.
If 12 man mission on normal had a decent chance of it dropping id farm it. It's a lot of fun and would help que times for newer players getting into excision, even if if we had to que the story focused versions. Gm excision should have a higher chance of it.

Im never gonna be able to get the double class cause im not even able to get the exotic kinetic weapon in the bottom weapon slot so i could care less
Microcosm had nothing to do with the double drops for one, and two, you don't even need a mic to get it. I got mine done through emotes only since I'm on console no one could type soon enough to save themselves.
Once unlocked should be wild drop or rng in nightfall

Bro I just wish I had friends to help me get through to impossible last couple missions of the story… I used to love this game but the people playing are toxic and I’m stuck…

@@blazeqzruler6253you need to unlock it from the mission first to have a chance for them to drop from any chest in the Pale Heart. You should take the time to find another solo to play with. The mission is worth it even without the loot.
My feelings are this (and it's a bit of a hot take) I love when loot is rare. It makes FIANLLY getting that thing you wanted so badly, feel incredible. It's honestly fine to not have every godroll of the class item right away. When you do get the one you want it will be a badass feeling. Maybe if you couldnt compete without them I'd have a different take but you can literally complete anything in this game with just about any gear.
What I'm trying to say is, stop farming the chests if you hate it. Open them as you play and you'll get what you want eventually. If you don't enjoy something, don't do it.
The 12 man final mission or like overthrow would be great ways to farm it (bungie please 🙏)

Hear me out, make it similar to the double tanks for Gambit, Vanguard, and Crucible. Make it so that exotic missions have double drops.
i did get a exotic class item from a chest on the pale heart after completing the quest and before the patch but i think the drop rate is really low
I mean I did do the mission once and got the exotic again while doing the khvostov exotic mission
You could already do that. After completing it you could just open chests in the pale heart, it takes less than an hour to get one easy
i say let exotic engrams have the class item in the pool or focus it at a higher cost of materials

I run around the pale heart for like 1:30 minutes and get 1 drop mostly or rarely get 2 with in that time
I'd just settle for a drop rate buff on chests. Somewhere over 500 chests and I've gotten 4 class items.
Why not make it so you can focus it at Master Raul like every other exotic armor in the game…..
nobody is talking about how guardians were being two faced and lying and racing to the out-of-bounds mark not fully understanding how the bug worked. Or how if you were fast enough you could steal both items leaving no loot for other guardian. Saw many different lights of many different guardians. I'm incredibly glad they fixed it. Adds a little more rarity to the drops too
Reminds me of when they "fixed" the menagerie loot feature. Participation in that activity dropped by like 70% after and overall player base dropped as well. Bungie never listens or learns from the community nor do they understand the premise of a *"LOOTER-shooter".* not enough worthy rewards, not enough incentive to bother.
Add it do pathfinder orrrrr playlist: it’ll give people a reason to do playlists activities + u can add them to playlist pathfinder
20-30m focused mission = 1 drop
20-30m mind off chest route = 1 drop
These shouldnt be the same, and people who play with intent should be rewarded adjustedly. The fact that random luck means you can be more efficient running around aimlessly in farming seems weird. Just make the double drop a feature when you play matching classes, its so thematic its perfect
