Chill Clip on the sniper comes off to me as the ultimate in anti champion combat for something like a GM. If two shots freeze, you have an anti overload with one shot, anti unstop in three, and anti barrier when radiant or when anti barrier sniper is a mod, should it return, all of this done from massive distance with respectable damage, seeing as though this is a high impact sniper rifle.
how many shots does it take though? i thought it was so good on fusions because each bolt applies slow, which is why no one uses it on gls or rockets or linears

The bow's name killed my buddie's belief in his ability to talk. Also, loved the video style, gameplay wasn't needed at all, still kept my attention. I got the bow, almost have the pulse complete, and finally I want the sniper as an anti champion weapon for GMs, it's gonna be great.
The sniper with Chill Clip is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, it's a single high damage instant shot (no charge time) at infinite range. It slows in an AOE, it freezes after two shots, it hits like a truck, it shatters and then can re-freeze, it's an amazing tool for champ capabilities and also just a lil bit of free ad clear whenever you pop a boss and they shatter all the enemies around them.
chill clip on sniper is a monster, single hit overload stuns, paired with a sniper that hits like a truck, can recommend. also for chaos reshaped, it counts even if the weapon is not out. so after 12 seconds of either receiving / dealing damage you can take it out with alrdy procced chaos x1, is a pretty nice perk imho
While the wave frame sword seems to be made for add clear. I hear that it actually does really good dps as well. As in, the only thing that beats it is bequest with it's +10 impact damage.
I have a Rewind Rounds/Explosive Payload roll drop on the Critical Anomaly and the Explosive Payload hits count towards Rewind. I was able to mag/reserve dump without reloading whatsoever. I don't exactly know how viable it would be in terms of DPS, but thought I would comment this in case anyone was wondering about that interaction
2 things to note: grave robber refills on hits not kills now which makes it a lot better vs majors and for dps testing on ergo sum, the wave frame version is better than vortex frames because of the massive hit vortex frames take to total damage from the heavy costing 6 and the wave frame does similar DPS. It's not the best option but it's better than vortex for DPS.
On nullify, I find that it doesn’t need a ton of range because the archetype is already exceptionally good at range. Rather, boosting stability REALLY helps both bullets land in the same spot (or as close to it as possible), which also helps with damage at range. There’s no point in maxxing your range stat if the first shot hits for good damage, but the second shot hits way above the enemy’s head due to recoil. Try using chambered comp and steady rounds together. The comp helps recoil direction slightly AND boosts stability. The steady rounds will lower the range a bit and give turbo stability, but like I said, it makes it easier for both shots to connect at range which will indirectly boost damage more at long range anyways.
I think its crazy how the pulse rifle is the first craftable solar pulse, and the first craftable raid solar weapon with Incandescent to not have Pugilist on it. Been paying attention because I've been looking for a not pulse Incandescent Pugilist weapon, and they're either raid weapons or pulse rifles. Last checked before TFS, so they may have added something already
@6:50 the rewind/recons debate has gotten a bit more interesting. With the DSC sniper, you could run extended mag + backup mag mod and hit a 5rd mag, which with reconst will grow to 10 shots. Previously this was a meh pick because you couldn't use boss spec, but that's gone now, so have a go, I love mine. In the time it takes to shoot 10 shots it will proc 1, maybe 2 more times as well, so really it is like an 11-12 rd mag.
Reconstruction requires 4 seconds without firing (3.5 enhanced) before it will proc. It does not refill your mag while continuously shooting. In specific rotations it may be possible to proc reconstruction while the sniper is holstered though

I wish they gave us the Glaive as a Kinetic Slot weapon though. Energy slot has so many great options already, and it's tough giving up a lot of those for Glaives. Really limits Glaive usage overall.
Btw archers gambit was buffed secretly. Now you only need to hit that first hip fire precision hit to start the perk, from there all precision hits (including while ads) reproc it.

Their damage is middling, and their ammo economy is atrocious (-6 for a charged heavy) Summum is quite good with Chaos Reshaped, as it is a 35% buff, compared to Whirlwind (currently the best due to how it's working with Ergo Sum Wolfpacks) or Bait & Switch at 30%. The wave is also not awful. The main problem is just that it throws you up in the air when performing it. That being said, Sword DPS is mainly Light attack spam anyway. Also, when Master drops its Adept version, it's better than the current Best-in-slot Sword (Bequest, which rolls with an innate +10 to Impact and Charge Rate compared to other Adaptive/Vortex/Caster/Wave-frame swords) in all situations, because it doesn't need Surrounded to be the best.
I know it was arc surge this week and surges are going away in raids so this could be skewed, but I used summum bonum for damage on the second encounter of Salvations Edge and did really good damage with it. Just a random drop with attrition orbs and whirlwind and it kept my surges up as well as team mates. Probably situational, but I was happy with it considering if you’re not playing hunter, bequest is the other best option and you can’t really proc surrounded there.
Chill Clip on Critical Anomaly will reload it if you’re using Facet of Command. Bit unwieldy, especially if you’re running Warlock with Bleak Watchers, but it’s an extra 2 bullets in the magazine.
Neat synergistic roll on Imminence is Slice/Strategist if you want to just have endless class ability + sever uptime. Probably super niche considering it's not only an SMG but a 900rpm, but it's something neat.
Critical anomaly during a lot of boss encounters has been a good damage buff for free. Rewind rounds on it and a backup mag w/ extended mag give it 5 in the mag instead of 4. It’s nice.
One thing I see with the sword is Stronghold+chaos reshaped. You just block long enough that the healing part of the perk activates and become invincible.

On Headstone for Snipers, The Crystal encases Player Ghosts preventing revives in Trials until the crystal is destroyed. A cool sleeper tech. I have enjoyed since Thoughtless came out.
backup mag + extended mag on critical anomaly give 5 base which I think makes recon clearly better as even when using a sniper as primary dps you normaly are swaping to or using something else a little, giving you time to leting recon still regen ammo.
I have a crafted Firefly+Incan on the pulse and the Firefly part isn't as useful as something like Demo or HC. Reason being the weapon with Flared Magwell and Reload Masterwork puts it at 70 reload and the extra 30 from a Firefly proc is basically nothing due to diminishing returns. At that point you're only benefitting from the explosion half of the perk which Incandescent does better anyways.
Love these vids (and all Datto vids) but have to mention that Datto is STILL somehow sleeping on Impulse Amplifier. Unironically one of the best perks out there, bunch of reload stat AND a reload scalar for absolutely free. Projectile speed is obviously great as well for any non-hitscan weapons, but even without it you get (depending on your reload stats) better reloads than Enlightened Action, Rapid hit, and even Outlaw, all for literally pressing the reload button with the perk equipped. As a bow salesman you will not find a better perk on a bow, reload is just as good if not better than draw time for faster shots, AND you get so much better projectile velocity when you're just tapping your bow to deal with trash. With Voltshot and Imp Amp your add clearing would be so much better and easier to use. This perk is so damn underrated and honestly lets keep it that way so they finally give us another bow besides Wolftone fkn Draw that has Imp Amp and Frenzy because I need one for other elements :)
For the nullify i went with heal clip+chaos, and while it does sustain me well i can definitely feel the damage loss that i would have had if i went a more offensive crafted roll. Definitely going to crafted a offensive version when i don't need much self sustain.
The sniper with chill clip + triple tap is actually very good especially with extended mag + mag mod. Ur getting 5, three of them with chill clip + a fourth with triple tap, which is pretty good imo in content where u are facing champions. A great range alternative to fusion rifles.
Chill clip on the sniper could be a good gm weapon, you can insta stun overloads from any distance and you dont sacrifice a damage perk on the sniper. It depends on a season's overload meta but I could see it popping up at some point
Unrelated, as I am obviously not Datto, but I figured it'd be a longer raid, being part of the conclusion of the Light and Dark saga and all, so I wouldn't be surprised if Datto had a similar thought process, especially once he'd started the raid and experienced the difficulty of it.

Does Explosive Payload work well with Chill Clip? Does chill clip trigger on both hits, or is it only the impact damage? Could it possibly slow a group of enemies? Can it trigger twice (impact and explosion damage), freezing enemies faster?
With Still Hunt being so good as a special ammo DPS option, the sword here looks really interesting for an ad clear weapon even in higher endgame content like Raids. Could you go for an LMG with good perks? Ofcourse you could. you could also just use sunshot or trinity ghoul and use a heavy weapon for DPS but the way this sword works, makes it seem near perfect for someone that's doing mechanics and needs a little bit of add clear on top of mobility. that eager edge-lite you get after a heavy attack is seemingly useful! I do like what Bungie is doing here to change the way people can play the game. The Glaive is also loaded with multitool type of perks. I think the Hunter Exotic for glaives got buffed to a point where its worth using if you are a glaive enjoyer.
Do NOT underestimate impulse amplifier on glaives! It makes them viable as long range weapons honestly, you can hit stuff thats moving from much further away.
Critical anomaly is the only quick draw snapshot aggressive frame sniper, combined with the chill clip anti champion capabilities and its probably one of the better snipers in the game
Unless theyve fixed it you could have unlimited sword ammo with deconstruct/chain reaction. Its very niche but if we had another activity like onslaught where its very add dense that would be great for clearing waves
Had a rewind rounds+explosive payload Critical Anomaly drop and slapped a backup mag mod on it for 4 rounds, can confirm rewind refills the whole magazine, shoots your entire reserves without reloading, feels like legendary whisper
Now I crafted it and put on extended mag+backup mag for a 5 round mag with enhanced rewind/enhanced b&s, now I DID have to eventually reload unlike with explosive, unsure if it’s a magazine size thing or explosive proccing two “hits” for rewind
I have an Adept Nullify with Firefly Incandescent, and lemme tell you: that thing COOKS! I wish I could use it more on my main, but friggin STILL HUNT has to be glued to my energy slot or i get clowned, along with either Relativism or Nighthawk. But on my Warlock, I basically never take the thing off

Glaive with Aegis and Chaos reshaped could be a good defensive tool, you can keep up the shield basically forever and chaos will heal you.
For the nullify i went with heal clip+chaos, and while it does sustain me well i can definitely feel the damage loss that i would have had if i went a more offensive crafted roll. Definitely going to crafted a offensive version when i don't need much self sustain.
The sniper with chill clip + triple tap is actually very good especially with extended mag + mag mod. Ur getting 5, three of them with chill clip + a fourth with triple tap, which is pretty good imo in content where u are facing champions. A great range alternative to fusion rifles.
Chill clip on the sniper could be a good gm weapon, you can insta stun overloads from any distance and you dont sacrifice a damage perk on the sniper. It depends on a season's overload meta but I could see it popping up at some point

The sniper with rewind+explosive means you never have to reload, assuming all shots are hit and given a long enough time
Rewind triple tap on the sniper means it can shoot all reserves without reloading with a minimal mag
Dragonfly Voltshot on that bow is a beast and I can't wait to craft it.
The pulse firefly adenlin is dope because fire fly procs adrenaline junkie so you don't even have to waste the nade
Datto one question were you surprised that salvation's edge turned out to be a 5 encounter raid instead of 4 just cerious
Unrelated, as I am obviously not Datto, but I figured it'd be a longer raid, being part of the conclusion of the Light and Dark saga and all, so I wouldn't be surprised if Datto had a similar thought process, especially once he'd started the raid and experienced the difficulty of it.

@@catsgame9282 nothing to apologise for, just putting in my two cents on the matter. It being as difficult as it is with the five encounters is an exciting prospect for me once I get around to doing it.
I will say chill clip on critical anomaly is pretty good against tormentors. I've been using one with explosive payload + chill clip and it's nothing crazy out of this world but it's just fun to use
Does Explosive Payload work well with Chill Clip? Does chill clip trigger on both hits, or is it only the impact damage? Could it possibly slow a group of enemies? Can it trigger twice (impact and explosion damage), freezing enemies faster?

With deterministic recoil, putting arrowhead brake on everything isn't as ez pz as it used to be
There are 2 rockets that also have chill clip, Bump in the Night and Cold Comfort
With Still Hunt being so good as a special ammo DPS option, the sword here looks really interesting for an ad clear weapon even in higher endgame content like Raids. Could you go for an LMG with good perks? Ofcourse you could. you could also just use sunshot or trinity ghoul and use a heavy weapon for DPS but the way this sword works, makes it seem near perfect for someone that's doing mechanics and needs a little bit of add clear on top of mobility. that eager edge-lite you get after a heavy attack is seemingly useful! I do like what Bungie is doing here to change the way people can play the game.
The Glaive is also loaded with multitool type of perks. I think the Hunter Exotic for glaives got buffed to a point where its worth using if you are a glaive enjoyer.
Do NOT underestimate impulse amplifier on glaives! It makes them viable as long range weapons honestly, you can hit stuff thats moving from much further away.
Critical anomaly is the only quick draw snapshot aggressive frame sniper, combined with the chill clip anti champion capabilities and its probably one of the better snipers in the game
Unless theyve fixed it you could have unlimited sword ammo with deconstruct/chain reaction. Its very niche but if we had another activity like onslaught where its very add dense that would be great for clearing waves
Deconstruct got nerfed to not do that in TFS. Very depressing for my Indebted Kindness with nearly 9000 kills :/

Had a rewind rounds+explosive payload Critical Anomaly drop and slapped a backup mag mod on it for 4 rounds, can confirm rewind refills the whole magazine, shoots your entire reserves without reloading, feels like legendary whisper
Now I crafted it and put on extended mag+backup mag for a 5 round mag with enhanced rewind/enhanced b&s, now I DID have to eventually reload unlike with explosive, unsure if it’s a magazine size thing or explosive proccing two “hits” for rewind
I have an Adept Nullify with Firefly Incandescent, and lemme tell you: that thing COOKS! I wish I could use it more on my main, but friggin STILL HUNT has to be glued to my energy slot or i get clowned, along with either Relativism or Nighthawk. But on my Warlock, I basically never take the thing off

Chill clip has been on more than fusion rifles! It was also on the grenade launcher from the season of the haunted dungeon, i only know bc i painfully grinded for one with chill clip just for chill clip to get nerfed a month after receiving one with auto loading/chill clip. 🤠
Does the new damage perk effect the melee damage of the glaive? If so: hell yes BIS glaive.
