I swear to god Charlie's death broke me for about a week. He was my personal favourite character since the start and I absolutely adored him...and the way he dies is just...gahhh..he finally proved he wasnt weak, that he could save people. He saved everyone and that scene at the end just shows his relief and peace of it all. It was just so well executed my heart freaking died man... :'(
Flying mint bunny OuO Man I KNOW!! Everybody bashed him so much back in the day but his character in my opinion was the one that developed the best from all the bunch.. Life was so unfair to him and when you thought he was starting to have it good he sacrificed for his mates, something died in the show when Charlie's character died..
I feel like he could've survived if he went to the door and closed it from the other side but it was still sad

I still loved lost. But the show and peanut butter were never the same when he died.
I was so annoyed when Eko died :( they built him into such an amazing character with his background and the island, so sad to see him go
I was walking it on amazon prime and when you are watching it facts come up about the show and apparently the actor who played eko asked to be killed off bc he wanted to leave. He was supposed to be an important character though

Eko was no longer needed in purgatory island because he finally past his test. Everyone who died on the island had actually just past the “test” that the island demanded of them. For example, Boone past his test to let go of Shannon. Shannon past his test to put others before herself.
@@TequilaMockingBird91 What a bullshit. MIB killing Mr Eko makes no sense. Just because the actor wanted out. When we learn about MIB there is no reason for him killing the pilot and Mr Eko.
And i wont even start about Shannon. That Walt was there and wet and talking backwards, we never got a answer. Just stupid. Not the only time Walt shows up so he can get a woman killed(season 3 finale)

Mr Eko was the most interesting and best built character in lost, just like Locke he believed in the island and fate, but since he did not let the island change him, he was no longer a candidate, Thus allowing the smoke to kill him
He was meant to die later but one of his family members died

At my school at the people who watched LOST (including me) were in complete denial and disbelief the next day. We couldn't accept that Charlie died.
I guess he kinda didn’t die cause all his memories got put into the other Charlie
To me Charlie's death was the one that impacted me the most because he had a choice and it was to die and save Aaron and Claire or keep living on the island with them knowing he would eventually die
The problem with Charlie's death is that it had no impact on Claire and Aaron's lives.
Charlie's gets to me the most! 😭😭😭 I remember watching it and I didn't want to watch LOST for a long while after Charlie died!

Boone, Shannon, and Sun/Jin were definitely the hardest. Boone was unexpected just because I didn't think they'd start killing off main characters that soon, and it was just emotional in general. Shannon just because it was so out of fucking nowhere, and Sun/Jin because they were my favorite characters and it was genuinely the saddest. Jin never even got to meet his daughter :(
I was devastated when Shannon died, she was becoming a great character, her death stayed with me for a good few episodes afterwards!
Was i the only one who was heartbroken when Eko died? ;(

@@opium_00pium7 They had to write him out because the actor had a lot of personal issues going on and did not want to be on the show. The reason why the Man in Black killed him the first time is because he realized that he could not manipulate Eko into doing his bidding. Originally, he viewed him as a ruthless drug dealer that could serve a purpose. The second time, he realized that his resolve and faith in God was too powerful to manipulate and at that point he became a threat.
The music in this show just pulls everything together so beautifully and makes these scenes all the more heart wrenching.
Boones death and Charlie's death were the sadest I was nearly crying

Nikki and Paulo have one of the most horrible ways to die. their episode was interesting haha
I thought their episode was stupid. Nikki and Paulo added absolutely nothing to the show and should have just been left out.

gp24501 couldn't agree less. what was the point of them or even showing how they died.. couldn't have been less relevant to anything within the rest of the show ...what a waste of an episode I thought. didn't even know about them until that episode. ...meh
A lot of people hated Nikki and Paulo so much that some of them went so far as to harass the writers and producers and finally they’ve had enough that they dedicated an entire episode as a filler literally just to kill them off.
Fans were in tears when that particular episode aired. Tears of joy, that is.
I still don’t really understand why they were so universally hated though. My guess is because they’re introduced as characters who were already part of the people on the plane but they’re obviously new characters and they’ve never had a spotlight in the show until just now. In other words, they were absolute bullshit characters and fans were frustrated by the lazy writing.
Hurley’s “I’m sorry I forgot the blankets” had me bawling.
Boone and Charlie were the hardest for me :,( I couldn't watch the show after they died.

I hated Boone.
I was really really sad when they killed both Boone and Charlie. I nearly stopped watching the show after season 3 however I stuck by it all the way through and was surprised when they came back later during the series and they all reunited together to move on to the afterlife. Lost was such an amazing journey. 😌

Obviously Charlie's death was the saddest because he died saving everyone... Also there's the subtle aggregate of Hurley's and Claire's reactions
My biggest fear is drowning. Sucks my favorite character died that way. Btw, they never forgot about Nikki and Paulo. Miles brings them up in Season 5.

He was actually killed by the writers.
If Charlie ran out and closed the door, the rooms would flood and they would have both drowned. Charlie knew that at least one of then had to survive to get back to Jack. And also, Charlie could not have swam out of that window because he was already in there for a while, and he barely made INTO the place, so him squeezing out the window, and this time...SWIMMING UP...he was going to die regardless.
Thanks for putting the titles after the scene when this whole time I thought that was what was coming up next. No wonder I was confused.

I was in so much denial when Boone died. I was like "No he can't really be dead because it's only the first season." "The island is special he will come back to life." "He won't die he's part of the main cast." But he was. And Charlie's death hit me the most. He's my favourite character.

It wasn't particularly sad because they were assholes lol. But I think that was definitely the worst way to die out of any of the deaths in Lost.

Lost does have a lot of deaths for their main characters, but Game of Thrones exceeds that. The author of the books killed the most important character before the story even began!

i always loved how even the characters you hated you ended up loving by the time they died :)
i didnt cry when charlie died but when they had to tell claire he was dead so sad... but none of these deaths even compare to the sadness of Juliets

I still, to this day, think that Boone should have lasted longer then Shannon. He had so much potential as a character!
Also, give him a friggin love interest that ISN'T his sister! I know some people ship them, but I think that totally ruined his character.

Oh god Charlie's death hit me so hard.. in a way that I never even knew he was one of my very top favorite characters up to those last episodes he was in, but I couldn't get over his death .. damn it. He was such a lovable character and the death story they gave him was such a masterpiece and made it sooo heroic and even more amazing storyline. But I was always so sad that he just found a family for himself on that island with claire and the kid and then it all destroyed. so heartbreaking :'( also all the friendships he was in specialy with Desmond and hugo and the group they had fun ..

Shannon's was the saddest.. Everyone she ever loved belittled her and let her down. They said she was worthless and useless when she was neither. No one was there to support her, no one to turn to until she met Sayid. But she still had her doubts about Sayid seeing as everyone had let her down. She put up defenses (the bitchiness) so she wouldnt let anyone get close enough to hurt her. No ever believed in her, apart from Sayid. But she was the only one that could help Sayid escape his past, too.

Even though Eko's death was. not planned, the writters managed to make a huge foreshadowing using his last wwords: "You're next!" Season 6 confirms it.
I think Charlie was forced to close the door on himself to spare Desmond's life. By the look of things, it can only be locked from the inside. If that door weren't tightly fastened, it would have burst open and flooded the whole area. Desmond wouldn't have been able to escape if that were to happen.
Charlie didn't want to escape, because Desmond said he would die anyway and its the only way to save the others.
Danny Archer I'm aware of that. But even if that were not prophesized, the situation would have ended with Charlie being dead.

Just watch the whole series. Charlie's death was the saddest out of all, then Sun and Jin.
Charlie's was the saddest. He died to save everyone else on the island. Love equals sacrifice and he paid the ultimate sacrifice for them, especially Claire and Aaron. Out of all the deaths on Lost, that scene never ceases to affect me in the same way. I'm in tears every time.

Charlie was my absolute favorite character, it upset me to such extents that he died so early.

Charlies death was the saddest I cried so hard when I saw the look on his face when he wrote on his hand "Not Pennys boat" and then nodded to Desmond, that innocent, sweet face. :'(
Honestly the saddest death was ironically Jack. HIS code of the island was LIVE TOGETHER, DIE ALONE. And he was dying alone until Vincent layed with him until the end. And the saddest MINOR character death was definately Alex Rousseau.

I always viewed that 'he could have got out of the window' thing as a technical error i.e. making the window too big. The idea that Charlie 'had' to die never sat well with me; I always liked the interpretation that, to get Claire (the opportunity of) rescue, he had to put himself in a situation he couldn't get out of; his death was just a consequence of getting into that situation.
when everybody else died, i didn't cry... but when charlie died...... gish, i really cried and felt really sorry about him cos he was,is and always be my favourite male character on lost....

They were bitten by a spider than caused paralysis, they weren't actually dead. But the other islanders didn't realise and assumed they had died, so they were accidentally buried.
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who misses Charlie.
Murdered is a strong word to use when describing what Ana Lucia did to Shannon. It makes it sound like she did it on purpose in cold blood. It was an accident. Killed would have been better.
