she is an example of why victims of domestic abuse don't report.
Yeah, that victim cared so much she wasn't even going to allow a criminal case to occur. Yawn. Police aren't babysitters for adults.
@Ravenz trzecie oko Do you know whats its like to be beaten and no one care? No one in the world give a dam? Welcome to the lives of many men.
@Ravenz trzecie oko you will be alright. He got his punishment. Move on. Dont play the victim card your entire life.
@Ravenz trzecie oko davidflash007@gmail.com. feel free to explain. I will keep our emails private. Thank you
@Ravenz trzecie oko unfortunately for you there are women out there destroying your credibility and diverting resources because of false allegations for numerous and financial reasons. In fact it is an epedemic. You probably need to tell the county to do a better job instead of using resources to hear cases on marriage rape in divorce to get custody of kids and other made up stories of lucid rape or women that go to hotel rooms to meet men and then make up rape stories to sue wealthy men for money. Sad to hear your a real victim. You should advocate to get the false and ridiculous allegations purged from the county.
The remorse she expressed seems to be absent during this hearing!
It's coz she can't believe that she's being punished for her actions her being a judge. Might be she thought she was like a god in the court house?
I agree. She looks absolutely bored.
The judiciary is a joke

casablanca bell that’s what I thought
casablanca bell I was going to say the same. It’s just “for the record.” She probably read it before he did. Shame 😡
So true....but her ass in jail...smh
Casablanca bell I agree, and also thinkin "the guy reprimanding me can't even speak proper English", she learned nothin here
Yeah,I thought the same when she raised her eyebrows at him like as I'd to say yeah ok whatever
“You’re free to leave?”
Give her the treatment she gave the victim.
3 days in jail
free to leave, means you are now allowed to leave. you are not allowed to leave until you are given permission to leave the court.
she did not leave scot-free.
this summons is permanent to her record, and if there is a second time. she will go to jail.
Chadimous yess
People saying the judge needs to go to jail, clearly know little to nothing about the law. That judge committed some serious ethics violations, but nothing she did is a criminal offense.
She deserves to be removed from her job as a judge, but since she didn't commit a crime, she doesn't deserve to go to jail.
Agree!
Kieth Mergard Correct but they aren’t citing exact law but fair punishment. Of course it won’t happen legally, and shouldn’t because it’s a slippery slope. It would be nice to see though. It wouldn’t affect her near as much as the lady though...1 month, lol.
There was absolutely no remorse from this judge during the reprimand. She still thinks she did nothing wrong. She should have been given jail time.
Right on , and 200 hrs community service in a battered woman's home.

We don't think it's a joke... it "is" a joke. However a joke with actual victims isn't a funny type of joke unfortunately.
So basically they scolded her and she's free to continue to act like a psychopath. And they wonder why people have no faith in our system
Sadly that's the gist of it, they should have removed her from the bench
It's on her record. This is basically the legal system saying "BITCH. WE SEE YOU"
Keep in mind that any lawyer that gets her as a judge on a domestic case in the future will be filing to get a different judge citing this as the reason. She might still be a judge, but as a judge, she's been crippled immensely.

What a joke the judiciary has become.
I actually thought she was going to interrupt the presiding judge several times.
I think it took everything in her power not to open up that big ass trap of hers. She certainly feels ZERO remorse and I do not think she sees any error in her actions whatsoever
I was thinking the same thing. She, so much wanted to say something. 😩👎
She can't.

She knew better than open her mouth in front of the FSC. 🤐
she looks arrogant entitled and I do not sense a single drop of remorse. shame on her.
Kristy Arthur you can tell this just by looking at her, or is this just your own prejudice?
Body language...the reason she is there and the fact that she took an oath yet still treated the victim poorly and was definitely impartial to the state. Also the fact she agreed she was wrong. I'm sure you didnt read most of the comments on here.
Kristy Arthur men are wrongly accused of domestic violence all the time. many plead guilty because the courts are a lot less sympathetic on them than on women
Kristy; You are spot on, and I was actually waiting on at min a suspension w/o pay until these courses are completed, and I was really let down when they simply put her back on the bench! Look at her attitude before Supreme Court, I would not want to appear before her especially knowing she's taking mandatory anger mang't classes!
However there were/are 2 subtle things that happened here without a word being needed. First she was "sentenced" to go to these 2 classes, but before the start of classes she will be interviewed to determine how long/many classes she would need to go to if that helps at all.
2nd, the S.C. Judge did say for her to reflect [look at previous similar "punishments] because on all other cases by a single judge a 2nd time is viewed extremely harshly by this court... (close to it). So yes, this was a slap on the wrist, but it's a slap that is now on file! Now having been found "wrong", she will walk on broken glass most of the rest of her career and stained any chance of moving up! It seems very minor sentence, but we already know there is more than 1 justice system depending on who you are or who you know!
Only thing good is it's on record, which I believe was the point. Again a tiered system, but it can come back to bit her later....
When we stop letting the mainstream media divide us with [possibly] partial truths, or even outright lies repeated over and over enough by "well respected persons"; as well we need to ensure our schools teach actual, factual, meaningful history, we are doomed!
United We Stand.......... We can all disagree on nearly any topic, this is (soon to be used to be) U.S.A. Yet if we cannot unite for our Country we won't have one.......

mark johnson to that I have to agree. There are a lot of failures in our justice system. I worked in a law firm for 8 years and after that, did not believe I should ever marry bc I saw so many end in hate/bitterness and slander with children being in the middle which is most heart breaking. In this particular case the judge is being reprimanded on her demeanor and actions. Not on domestic violence. I believe our system is flawed on so many levels. Innocent men and women in jail. One happens to sit wrongfully for a rape of which he is innocent of and it happens to be someone very close to me. My comment was directly toward her demeanor in this hearing only and the way she handled the judge speaking to her here. It seems you are stuck on the DV part. I'm sorry if you have been a victim of that happening to you or being wrongfully accused.
How about losing her license. Send a message that actually means something. Tired of these legal eagles getting light sentences.
Agree^
How are you
Definitely not over this incident by itself. You’re basically taking her life away.
Npangea fuck her livelihood. If she wants to abuse her power she doesn’t deserve it. Fuck her
She has no license only a b a r. card.
I know from experience there's nothing more terrifying than standing in front of a judge dangling a jail sentence in your face. Its a lot of power to wield. But to do what she did to a domestic violence victim is just lunacy.
Unfortunately their story Really Ever goes heard.
Why didn’t they give her 3 days in jail
Corey Johnson cause the system is corrupt.
Because they are all above the law.

The entire Legal system is a duality Rich vs Poor Smart vs Dumb Connected vs Not etc Never a search for truth
Tammy Brook , I wished that she had been removed PERMANENTLY, she needs to repent.
They are working in a great profession in a beautiful State-which only goes to prove what the Bible teaches: even Paradise is not good enough for fallen man-or woman. The Judge needs to apologize publicly to this woman who was just devastated by this sentence. I think a suspension of 3 months or so without pay is the appropriate punishment.
Tammy Brook y s she should have. I call her a BULLY! Abusing her authority

That judge just empowered the abuser. Next time that woman needs to call the police she's going to think about what happened to her last time... Nice work judge.
Steven You’re assuming that the abused is actually the abuser based on the fact that she didn’t show up to court? Looks like we know how you treat your significant others; typical serial abuser attitude.
The accused was already convicted of battery in the court of law, so your argument is stupid, ignorant, and wrong. You’re probably the type of person who blames the victim of rape for her rape because of what she was wearing or how she acted before the act took place.
Steven you have a warped sense of reality my friend. How can you say those women had every intention of sleeping with Bill Cosby? Do they say that ever during the trial? No, they don’t. They were on drugs because *Bill had drugged them* in order to rape them.
I’m not disagreeing on the matter that women can ruin a man’s life with false accusations and wrongfully prosecuting them, but in both this case and Bill Cosby’s case this is not the case
false accusations havnt happened to rick glasser yet. an I pray it never does. it is a nightmare to be a MAN in corporate United states. Guilty until proven INNOCENT. that's how it goes these days. and if people keep thinking like rick then we as the "people" are headed for destruction.

hey that is the judges problem there, they are the ones dealing with her and giving her light punishment when they should be upset at her attitude and lack of remorse and drop the hammer on her, like they should have done. She is how she is, you have a group of judges there that didn't punish her. Its their fault.
I wish she had the same trial and the same harshness she inflicted on the other victim
Heartless and unreasonable actions by this female judge. It was good to hear what they rightly layed at her feet and forced her to own.
You wonder why people are losing faith in our judicial system. A police officer who commits assault it's a 3-day suspension without pay but while the investigation happens is suspended with pay, the officer basically gets a paid vacation. Then we witness actions like this judge Collins events, thanks to the internet and RUclips. Judge Collins who was way out of line who traumatized and belittled this woman in her open Court, gets a public reprimand and sent to anger management classes. I'm sorry this comes across to me as nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
"Losing faith in our judicial system?" Jerry--please forgive me but as a 73 year old disabled combat veteran,i now believe "justice" never existed;it's simply an abstract theory that has never come to fruition. The arrogance of Judges,D.A.'s and LEO's is beyond this writers comprehension and understanding.
@ulli1235 Actually sir, every police union contract I've read, allow officers which are suspended without pay to use vacation pay, compensatory time and in some cases their sick time to cover part or all of their suspension.Police chiefs/Sheriffs,will be happy to inform you that these provisions are allowed so as not to cause undue hardship to the suspended officer's family and to knowledge they're the only public officials allowed this luxury.
She is thinking “Yea, yea, lets get over this formality so can co back to my privileged position”. She knows it doesn’t mean anything, she’s spoken to them before this happened
@ind0ctr1n3 Oh really? When you've been battered, threatened and have to take care of your 1 year old child? You do realise the law of contempt isn't black and white? In fact, the court has full discretion and this judge acted as if the woman in question did something to her personally, when she did not. She apologised and explained the situation. She was not afforded an attorney, nor was allowed to present her evidence. Get a grip.
@ind0ctr1n3 oh shut your mouth!
When police officers shoot black people for no reason and get away with it, sounds lawfully right?
Or when children die because CPS does shit to protect even with dozens of complaints... and you are thinking about her missing a fucking hearing? Change the law and do it withour her presence. Ask her why the fuck she didn't come. She has a baby and she is scared of her attacker.
Go fuck yourself and your shit mindset! I find it ironic how you ended up so old.
There are a few things that I would like to comment about everyone's replies. First off, she should have showed up at the courthouse and given the judge or a clerk for the judge reason for not being in the courtroom. 2nd, in contempt of court you hold the key to your release by law. She probably didnt know that all she had to do was ask the judge a reasonable option to satisfy her contempt release. Contempt absolutely positively is not to jail someone without giving them a reasonable chance to "apologize" or obtain the key to their release! Third. Yall chill on the girl for not showing. I grew up watching a drunk beat the f*ck out of my mom. Unless you've seen a woman physically, emotionally, and spiritually broken by the man that vowed to love and protect her for the rest of her life. You have no room to judge her actions. And we never even heard what dude did to her exactly. 95% of domestic abuse and rape victims never even report the crime! She at least made it that far instead of just letting it continue like so many others do. Have a little empathy for the girl.
@Zambo it looks like the board believes Judge Collins was wrong and she herself agrees her actions were wrong being apologetic. For the board to publicly reprimanded her on live television shows how egregious her actions were. However, her punishment is to take two classes, anger management and domestic violence; being a judge she should be very familiar with these two subjects and not need to learn this again. So yes, it is a position of privilege being a judge, violating the code of judicial conduct and as punishment having to take two classes. If it were a a defendant in her courtroom being belligerent they would have been charged and put in jail.
@Zambo my comments are on Judge Collins, her conduct and the repercussions of her actions. I haven’t been using big words, they are normal words people use everyday in normal conversations. You are suggesting two wrongs make a right, which it does not.
Sheeple follow what they are told without question, where as many good people make judgements on the merits of Legal, ethical and moral. Although Judge Collins actions in court were legal, they were not Ethical nor Moral; and that is why she was reprimanded.
Her facial expression or lack of says it all. Yeah yeah yeah, gee I wonder if those shoes at the mall are still on sale?

There are real scientific studies which show that humans, when being led to believe someone else is “bad”, will make up fake facts about being able to “read the eyes” and other nonsense. The worst part is we don’t live in huts anymore and already know this to be true yet some of us still do it.
She could give the same ruling, but it would necessitate that the defendant have representation and following a few more procedural rules. It doesn't actually change the fact that a valid court order was willfully disobeyed and needed to be dealt with.

@ind0ctr1n3 ,You obviously didn't hear chief justice labarga reprimand, he explained it in complete detail, if judge collins was correct in her decision she wouldn't be standing before the Florida Supreme Court, your comment was based on pure emotion not sound judgment, never make a decision based on your emotions, it will always be wrong, chief justice labarga ordered judge collins to take a anger management course, I found that odd, theirs obviously a pattern of judge collins history of anger issue, this was not a one time occurrence, for judge collins to stand before the supreme court of florida is a serious issue, chief justice labarga explained the situation in detail with the male sitting in jail, how he took the plea deal, one more thing, before you comment on this listen very intently to the video, please refrain from using profanity it doesn't help your explanation, and it makes you look simple minded

You don't have to be a body language expert to read her.
1) She thinks she did nothing wrong. And can't understand why they do.
2) She's thinking what a waist of time, she will never change and doesn't need to.
3) She thinks citizens who come before her in court are like animals. (And that's how she treats them in her courtroom.)
4) And she believes she's smarter then all the other Judges in the room. And that the male Judges find her appealing.
You don't even have to read your body language you can see in her facial expressions. She's evil for what she did.
She's a CUNT.
Yeah.. Her saggy, wrinkled rack is indeed appealing.. 😂
Her eye blinking and eye rolling at the beginning of this procedure shows she thinks this is a waste of her time! He should have given her 3 days in jail for bad body language.

All power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Gisa W Slonim, Well said.
Judges were never intended to wield absolute power, and the framers of our constitution tried to arrange our beginnings (knowing, as they did, the corruption in the English courts) so that couldn't happen.
But years of unchecked judicial abuse in this country with no accountability for bad judges have accumulated to make that a sad joke.
Why is she being reprimanded
instead of being fired ? That's

This is why we don't trust the

I truly wish that more judges were held accountable for their unethical treatment of individuals. Also, their disrespectful behaviour, & bad rulings end up having irreversible consequences, causing irreparable damage, and have a negative ripple-effect on a person’s life. NICE TO SEE A JUDGE BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR HER BEHAVIOUR. 👍
Amen all that plus jail time and burning in hell 😅
she wasn’t held accountable, she was given a talking to with no real consequences
Held accountable? She was given nothing but some strong words. She hasn’t been held accountable for anything!!
People adore abusive judges, which is why Judge Judy has been immensely popular.
I absolutely love that passive aggressive phrase at the end, "You will find this court has viewed any violations by the same judge very harshly." Basically saying do it again, and your ass is grass kiddo.
The fact that she still had “honorable” before her name is disgusting, what she did was miles from honorable.
Also her facial expressions look crazy and uncaring.
A public reprimand that was only 5 minutes long oh how awful. I hope she actually listens in the classes she’s meant to go to because she needs some more knowledge and coping skills.
This is just a “show” for the public. I’m sure she was told in advanced that nothing would happen but she needed to show up to keep up appearances that she’s being punished. Hence the “are we done yet” facial expressions.
*This reprimand IS the punishment. There's no need for them to tell her anything in secret.*
I would be careful about making grand assumptions that dishonor those trying to do right like this supreme Court judge. She was asked to step down as a state judge soon after this reprimand.
IntelligentSubwoofer what about my comment “dishonors” her? Perhaps it’s your interpretation that’s the real issue. I’m more poking fun at the system than the individual.
@@christophermanabat1934 First I should address a miscommunication; I intended to convey that by assuming the Supreme Court communicated with Judge Collins behind closed doors in order to ease her concerns prior to the reprimand, there is the potential for your comment to tarnish the Supreme Court rep's integrity and good intentions despite his innocence. I didn't mean to imply you were dishonoring Judge Collins whom I imagine we're both not a big fan of, so sorry for that mix up on my part.
I'm also not trying to accuse you of anything; I simply felt your comment was a bit unfair for the SC rep who didn't do anything to warrant that level of skepticism. I get a bad taste in my mouth when someone is painted in a bad light unfairly, especially in the eyes of other people trying to get a grasp on the situation which I thought your comment risked doing. I specifically wanted to clarify that Ms. Collins's capabilities as a judge were not only restricted after the reprimand, but she ultimately lost her seat as a judge. All in all, the SC representative turned out to be genuine in his criticism of her.
Again, no disrespect intended.
PEOPLE SHOULD SUPPORT & MAKE DONATIONS TO “The Innocence Project”. Poor rulings (in general), & unethical practices are the reason that many innocent people are behind bars!😔
So she gets a Stern talking-to ? that's it ?! WTF
During my years (23) as a Federal Agent, I don't recall EVER treating ANY victim with disrespect. It's beyond belief how A JUDGE could treat a victim in the opposite manner. It goes to the core of civility and the judge's personal and professional integrity. With that being said, I've ALWAYS believed that persons in both the judicial and LEO systems MUST be held at higher standards. Not once in a while, not sometimes but at ALL times. Second chances, I'm sorry to say, are for everyone else. The judge, in this case, should be removed from the bench, post haste.
IMHO.
Thank you for your service. It is concerning how it appears to be a slap on the wrist. I am studying criminal justice in college right now….I believe that judges must have the highest standards and it’s sad when they fall short
Sounds like Judge Judy on a daily basis!
Look at her face shes a karen
@Richard Clifford
You're Godd**mn Right...what you said!!!
Well, thank you for upholding your oath to the bench. Sadly, not every judge does.
she could car less look at the contempt she has on her face
sam kraynak -"She couldn't care less" is the expression. Saying "she could care less" means that she did care.
But all this doesn't change the fact that the victim was sent to jail. Probably lost her job. But the judge didn't lose a day's pay.
And she was getting paid for her time spent in this bs hearing and paid for travel time and room/board, meals and travel time. She will also will get paid all of the above during the courses she must take.
ladner68 The judge should have been disbarred. Judges need to be held to a higher standard than the general public.
Defrocked, not disbarred. You don't have to be a member of the Bar to be a judge.
She died
She should have lost 3 days pay to be awarded to the victim.
If being "impatient and discourteous" were real violations of the code of conduct, the supreme court would do nothing but reprimand judges. Most contempt orders are made from the bench and aren't delayed for a separate hearing nor are those held in contempt advised of their right to present evidence. Since the violation was outside of the court room, the judge should have permitted the defendant to obtain counsel.
Her body language says she doesn't give a shit about what the chief judge said and isn't going to change her ways. Sad.
I would LOVE to see that happen, but she does not deserve a second chance.
+Powercise1
Not disbarred... that's not the remedy. Her next offense could get her thrown off the bench.
*****
They cannot be fired. They are elected constitutional officers. However in a sense they can be fired. The judicial qualifications commission would file charges against the judge if the judges Behavior was sufficiently outlandish or improper. But there is a procedure for that
what's she supposed to do ?
Mike Mason
How about a contrite apology for dishonoring the Bench
She's free to go?! Well that's a whole 5 minutes and 6 seconds completely wasted😬
Did you miss the part where he tells her what happens to repeat offenders?
I agree with many here........ she must be DISBARRED!
Free speech crumbling away right before our eyes - not even judges can speak their mind anymore - If a shitizen brings charges of violence against a violent criminal - they have a duty to support their evidence and provide the state with witnessing of such violence to which they claimed charge to. As judges see time and time again the domestic violent criminals getting off due to their accusers failing to come into the court of law and testify to the facts of violence - from time to time one must expect judges to lose their mind and blow up at the victims that refuse to flow a court ordered appearance to stand up and testify or witness against these violent offenders. With that said - I can not stand lawyers or judges - they are Tax Whores and scum of the Earth - and Florida Justice Branch is full of Liberal slim bags as well. The judges right to speak her mind is condemned - and the violent criminal goes free (for now - I'm almost certain that criminal is a regular customer of the criminal industrial complex) A judge or anyone who yells, screams, talks down - says whatever - "does not physically hurt anyone" (and none of us are responsible to the weak minded numskulls) a violent criminal going free - has the potential to have more violence. And Florida has an over load of domestic violence. Oh well - this is proof that we clearly have a CONstitutional Govern-mint. And us Tax Slaves get to pay for all this monumental stupidity...
Right!! They already discussed what was going to happened in this case.
@@2DanTube did you miss the part where she illegally jailed the woman? You sound like an absolute test, no you don't get to railroad a domestic abuse victim because your annoyed. judge's need to keep themselves in check it's the job they signed up for...
@@joshmcgarvey1805 The woman wasn't illegally jailed as she failed to comply with a subpoena which has penalties up to and including jail time in Florida. Now, should this judge have acted and spoken in the way that she did? Nope. But, she's an elected official and her accountability is in the hands of Seminole County voters. I hate to break it to you but this kind of thing plays very well politically as you are seen for enforcing the law to the fullest extent and trying to save taxpayer money when an unintended consequence could end up being that fewer women report the violence and more are killed.
@@2DanTube Cut funding to these courts by 70 percent. Shut down the scams by dirty attotneys and dirty judges in Florida.
Victim got 3 days.....
Judge that turned into secondary abuser of domestic victim got...what?
Super short report card...,and anger management class?
She is the law....?
She failed to perform her job, simple as that. She should be suspended without pay for duration of classes. She should clean highway for a week, that what other people do when they misbehave.
Lady YOU ARE NOT FIT FOR THE OFFICE. RESIGN!
"I cannot emphasize enough how intolerable your behavior was in this case...." now take this minor wrist slap as punishment and don't do that again!
Golly he told her.
She’s not sorry for anything.
@F1 Rocket Enginethen perhaps you can explain the reasons why she is being reprimanded...
In reality, there should be 0 tolerance towards any judge who gets "emotionally compromised" during any legal proceedings..especially when it comes to sentencing.
@F1 Rocket Engine can you provide me with a link pertaining to the case that you have described.
Am very curious to see what acctualy happened which led this judge to be reprimanded.
Perhaps I shouldn't judge without first seeing what truly happened!
The SUPREME COURT should of filed a contempt of court and jailed her for three days!!!The same amount of jail time that the poor victim of domestic violence had incurred by this so called Judge. Secondly, she should've been find suspended without pay and need to apologize the victim. That was just pure wickedness on that Judges part!
Janet Wayne they can’t do that I think?
Have you people looked out from your bubble , lately??? Do you see what's happening , what police are doing to people??
This judge could not give a rats ass about this. She is totally unrepentent.
She should have been given “6” days in jail !!!
She didn't look remorseful, in fact I'd like to see a behavioural analysis of her at the reprimand..@3:11, 3:26 She shows signs of disagreeing with the evaluation,
ALOT OF JUDGE'S, THINK THERE, ABOVE THE LAW!! HAPPENS EVERY DAY!!
A "sad day" for her would have been her being escorted directly to jail.
I agree with her being ordered to take the courses , she should have been ordered to serve 3 days in jail as well.
This judge is no example of true justice at all whatsoever!
Alfonso Romano she is the example.....l good judges they r few
So she is "forced" to go to (2)---two classes! And then scolded. But a young woman was BEATEN, her LIFE THREATENED, is HOMELESS, SCARED of practically everything now, has depression an lord only knows what else that poor lady is suffering from got sent to jail for (3) days away from her child, which is probably the only thing tethering her to her own humanity. Where is the true justice? Someone please tell me how this balances the scales of justice. So what if she didn't show up for court, she didn't want to be near the low life that ripped her soul from her. All of this should an could have been handled as if our society cared for the victims. I am beyond done with what our nation is becoming.
People like that dont deserve to judge anyone.
What she really needed was at least one hundred hours working at a battered women's shelter and answering the phone on abused women's hotline. She needs to see first hand the causes for why that lady might have been afraid to face her abuser in court
Absolutely the best statement I have ever read. Well done. You are absolutely right.
Great idea
The only court she should preside over is traffic.
NOT EVEN TRAFFIC COURT-PERIOD
That would be an insult to cars, trucks, motorcycles, and scooters...
Wow she should have lost her job. What a horrible person no integrity whatsoever and belittling the victim. Disgusting.
Unacceptable. This judge needs to lose her job for breaking the faith and trust in the justice system!
EuroS50 This is Zi.merman country. His dad was a judge,. they all barbecue together?
Robyn Palumbo
even elected judges can be removed for misconduct. Just if elected job can be lost even if she were acquitted. Because her job is dependent on public opinion which often doesn't mesh with judicial opinion.
+David Broers stfu
you violate the rules and put someone in jail for three days you should go to jail for three days.
We would not have any judges if breaking the faith and trust in the judicial system was the measure competence for judges. Becoming a judge is not a move most take to uphold the law. Its a move to have money thrown at them in bribes. Laws are secondary to fiscal kickbacks. When a judge gets bribed teh chain usually falls into place that that money trickles down. Sure Tv shows the DA being upstanding and playing by the rules but in real life if a DA gets your $50-$80 to defend you (win or lose) and can take a $10k side bank to let things slide. Guess what. Your doing 15-20 an he/she is $10 richer lol.
Unimpressive slap on the wrist. She should be fined and the money given directly to the distraught woman she berated and jailed.
and the douche bag award goes to !!!
Collins charged the victim of domestic violence with criminal contempt and didn't allow her an attorney (although she was entitled to one), nor did she tell the victim that she had the right to present evidence in her defense, thus violating the woman's Constitutional rights. Plus, she behaved like a heartless asshole.
lawsuit time.
I feel for the victim BUT if victims don't testify and the courts don't go after offenders hard for crimes, especially these types of crimes, it becomes not just here and now problem but also a future, inter-generational problem. Where is the community to support this woman with her child so she can go to court. And I am not talking about the government....Where are her neighbors, family, and friends?
Really nice sentiment! But in this world, that's too much like right!
Should've at least received 3 days in jail, too.
Justine D. I think you meant, that would have been retarded.
There hundreds of judges who absolutely suck
She looks like she doesn't even care that she's being reprimanded.
She clearly doesn't. This was little more then a verbal slap on the wrist with no real consequences.
She probably wanted out of law
@@christophercasey6775 - Care to explain this reasoning?
Because she’s probably a psychopath. Lawyers and judges have tons of psychopaths in the field, around 15-20 percent, it’s estimated.
@@iwant2haveu lmao nice statistic. Where’s your source?
Blah blah blah blah blah you're free to leave....WHAT??? Reprimanded publicly, but the courtroom was empty. Plus it looked to me like she was bored with the whole thing, almost smug. So what's to keep her from having the camera removed from her courtroom, or at least muting the audio? She should have got 3 days just like the domestic abuse victim.....😒
Televised means that I was given to the press to show it on television and other medias. That's a lot more millions of people, than can be fit into a courtroom. That ruining her career as a judge and any other aspirations she may have had (as in political). That is why you just saw it.
J A I L TIME !!!!!!
being embarrassed is NOT a harsh enough punishment !!!!!
Looks like a spoiled little brat getting her phone taken away for an hour
The courtroom may have been empty but as the Chief Justice very clearly said, the proceedings were being broadcasted.
Yes she did look bored, but you have to remember, she is one nasty resentful bitch, who was being forced to listen while keeping that big nasty trap of hers shut for a change!
It was a pleasure to watch!
Well that woman should thank her lucky stars that the victim's boyfriend did not come back to beat/murder both the mom and baby. This is a candy coated sentence and this woman should have been relieved of her bench.
Chief Justice where is her 3 days in jail?
She has the title of Honorable but there is nothing honorable about this bitch! Sometimes karma has a way of kicking your ass when you act as evil as she did. Maybe if she was in a domestic violence situation and had a crazy violent man threatening her if she testifies things would look different.
Had the victim been as condescending in court as the judge, contempt charges would have been brought. This is the court taking care of its own by not imposing a penalty other than than this wet noodle lashing. Shame on the supreme court of FL. Judge Collins is back on the bench today, very light punishment here.
Not how the law works kiddo
Judicial taking care of itself here. Chief justice may need leniency in the future, Collins owes him now..
Ted Williams She's white she can get away with murder
So the victim gets 3 days in jail but the judge who's found guilty of misconduct get's a slap in the hand . WTF ?
She doesn't even look remorseful.
You looks high..
Ant Squirly that's like the FBI in DC and Clinton's crap . nothing to the privileged .

@@susanstorey6160 Please explain what this fragmented, ill conceived sentence means. It's pretty amazing that in 2019 you can relate a court issue in Florida to the Clintons though. You are a real detective. You HAVE to keep unearthing these injustices, we're counting on you!
Of course she is not remorseful. She's a bitch who got off easy.

And a bitch slap to the face by the victim
Attorney here, this is ABSOLUTELY necessary. Very rarely do judges step outside their judicial rights but when it does happen they absolutely need to face the consequences.
As a judge your job is to maintain a fair playing field amongst all parties within each individual court room and court hearing/case. Belittling a victim of domestic violence is amongst the worst things one in a protective environment can do. As a member of the judicial system you are educated, equipped, and bipartisan; with the education you have, judges absolutely know how difficult it is for a victim of domestic violence to come forth. To question or criticize a victim for not being able to come forward against their domestic abuser (like nearly 90% of all domestic violence victims I might add) is not only wrong but incredibly destructive. Domestic violence is not a joke and should not be treated as such. Using sarcasm as a slight to a victim of abuse has no being in this country and certainly not in the legal system I’m apart of. This is unacceptable and I am beyond glad she is getting appropriate punishment.
So the judge was reprimanded on public TV.....yet allowed to continue to sit on the bench? Its sad if anyone can think of this as justice.
Best thing I have read all day. The DOJ cannot investigate the DOJ. Because you end up with people like James Clapper, & James Comey, John Brennan, Andrew McCabe, Rod Rosenstine & Robert Muller. The top of the DOJ is swimming in Ponzi Scam, to shit around guilt, for the last administration. I pray that I'm alive when these people receive justice.
what are you even talking about? Obama's white house vs Trump's? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trump IS the swamp!
