      @Ravenz trzecie oko unfortunately for you there are women out there destroying your credibility and diverting resources because of false allegations for numerous and financial reasons. In fact it is an epedemic. You probably need to tell the county to do a better job instead of using resources to hear cases on marriage rape in divorce to get custody of kids and other made up stories of lucid rape or women that go to hotel rooms to meet men and then make up rape stories to sue wealthy men for money. Sad to hear your a real victim. You should advocate to get the false and ridiculous allegations purged from the county.

      Kristy; You are spot on, and I was actually waiting on at min a suspension w/o pay until these courses are completed, and I was really let down when they simply put her back on the bench! Look at her attitude before Supreme Court, I would not want to appear before her especially knowing she's taking mandatory anger mang't classes!
      However there were/are 2 subtle things that happened here without a word being needed. First she was "sentenced" to go to these 2 classes, but before the start of classes she will be interviewed to determine how long/many classes she would need to go to if that helps at all.
      2nd, the S.C. Judge did say for her to reflect [look at previous similar "punishments] because on all other cases by a single judge a 2nd time is viewed extremely harshly by this court... (close to it). So yes, this was a slap on the wrist, but it's a slap that is now on file! Now having been found "wrong", she will walk on broken glass most of the rest of her career and stained any chance of moving up! It seems very minor sentence, but we already know there is more than 1 justice system depending on who you are or who you know!
      Only thing good is it's on record, which I believe was the point. Again a tiered system, but it can come back to bit her later....
      When we stop letting the mainstream media divide us with [possibly] partial truths, or even outright lies repeated over and over enough by "well respected persons"; as well we need to ensure our schools teach actual, factual, meaningful history, we are doomed!
      United We Stand.......... We can all disagree on nearly any topic, this is (soon to be used to be) U.S.A. Yet if we cannot unite for our Country we won't have one.......
      Peace all...

      mark johnson to that I have to agree. There are a lot of failures in our justice system. I worked in a law firm for 8 years and after that, did not believe I should ever marry bc I saw so many end in hate/bitterness and slander with children being in the middle which is most heart breaking. In this particular case the judge is being reprimanded on her demeanor and actions. Not on domestic violence. I believe our system is flawed on so many levels. Innocent men and women in jail. One happens to sit wrongfully for a rape of which he is innocent of and it happens to be someone very close to me. My comment was directly toward her demeanor in this hearing only and the way she handled the judge speaking to her here. It seems you are stuck on the DV part. I'm sorry if you have been a victim of that happening to you or being wrongfully accused.

      Steven You’re assuming that the abused is actually the abuser based on the fact that she didn’t show up to court? Looks like we know how you treat your significant others; typical serial abuser attitude.
      The accused was already convicted of battery in the court of law, so your argument is stupid, ignorant, and wrong. You’re probably the type of person who blames the victim of rape for her rape because of what she was wearing or how she acted before the act took place.

      Steven you have a warped sense of reality my friend. How can you say those women had every intention of sleeping with Bill Cosby? Do they say that ever during the trial? No, they don’t. They were on drugs because *Bill had drugged them* in order to rape them.

    You wonder why people are losing faith in our judicial system. A police officer who commits assault it's a 3-day suspension without pay but while the investigation happens is suspended with pay, the officer basically gets a paid vacation. Then we witness actions like this judge Collins events, thanks to the internet and RUclips. Judge Collins who was way out of line who traumatized and belittled this woman in her open Court, gets a public reprimand and sent to anger management classes. I'm sorry this comes across to me as nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

She was not afforded an attorney, nor was allowed to present her evidence. Get a grip.

      There are a few things that I would like to comment about everyone's replies. First off, she should have showed up at the courthouse and given the judge or a clerk for the judge reason for not being in the courtroom. 2nd, in contempt of court you hold the key to your release by law. She probably didnt know that all she had to do was ask the judge a reasonable option to satisfy her contempt release. Contempt absolutely positively is not to jail someone without giving them a reasonable chance to "apologize" or obtain the key to their release! Third. Yall chill on the girl for not showing. I grew up watching a drunk beat the f*ck out of my mom. Unless you've seen a woman physically, emotionally, and spiritually broken by the man that vowed to love and protect her for the rest of her life. You have no room to judge her actions. And we never even heard what dude did to her exactly. 95% of domestic abuse and rape victims never even report the crime! She at least made it that far instead of just letting it continue like so many others do. Have a little empathy for the girl.

    • @billlumburg7594
      @billlumburg7594 4 года назад

      @Zambo it looks like the board believes Judge Collins was wrong and she herself agrees her actions were wrong being apologetic. For the board to publicly reprimanded her on live television shows how egregious her actions were. However, her punishment is to take two classes, anger management and domestic violence; being a judge she should be very familiar with these two subjects and not need to learn this again. So yes, it is a position of privilege being a judge, violating the code of judicial conduct and as punishment having to take two classes. If it were a a defendant in her courtroom being belligerent they would have been charged and put in jail.

    • @billlumburg7594
      @billlumburg7594 4 года назад +1

      @Zambo my comments are on Judge Collins, her conduct and the repercussions of her actions. I haven’t been using big words, they are normal words people use everyday in normal conversations. You are suggesting two wrongs make a right, which it does not.
      Sheeple follow what they are told without question, where as many good people make judgements on the merits of Legal, ethical and moral. Although Judge Collins actions in court were legal, they were not Ethical nor Moral; and that is why she was reprimanded.

      @@christophermanabat1934 First I should address a miscommunication; I intended to convey that by assuming the Supreme Court communicated with Judge Collins behind closed doors in order to ease her concerns prior to the reprimand, there is the potential for your comment to tarnish the Supreme Court rep's integrity and good intentions despite his innocence. I didn't mean to imply you were dishonoring Judge Collins whom I imagine we're both not a big fan of, so sorry for that mix up on my part.
      I'm also not trying to accuse you of anything; I simply felt your comment was a bit unfair for the SC rep who didn't do anything to warrant that level of skepticism. I get a bad taste in my mouth when someone is painted in a bad light unfairly, especially in the eyes of other people trying to get a grasp on the situation which I thought your comment risked doing. I specifically wanted to clarify that Ms. Collins's capabilities as a judge were not only restricted after the reprimand, but she ultimately lost her seat as a judge. All in all, the SC representative turned out to be genuine in his criticism of her.
      Again, no disrespect intended.

It goes to the core of civility and the judge's personal and professional integrity. With that being said, I've ALWAYS believed that persons in both the judicial and LEO systems MUST be held at higher standards. Not once in a while, not sometimes but at ALL times. If being "impatient and discourteous" were real violations of the code of conduct, the supreme court would do nothing but reprimand judges. Most contempt orders are made from the bench and aren't delayed for a separate hearing nor are those held in contempt advised of their right to present evidence. Since the violation was outside of the court room, the judge should have permitted the defendant to obtain counsel.

      Free speech crumbling away right before our eyes - not even judges can speak their mind anymore - If a shitizen brings charges of violence against a violent criminal - they have a duty to support their evidence and provide the state with witnessing of such violence to which they claimed charge to. As judges see time and time again the domestic violent criminals getting off due to their accusers failing to come into the court of law and testify to the facts of violence - from time to time one must expect judges to lose their mind and blow up at the victims that refuse to flow a court ordered appearance to stand up and testify or witness against these violent offenders. With that said - I can not stand lawyers or judges - they are Tax Whores and scum of the Earth - and Florida Justice Branch is full of Liberal slim bags as well. The judges right to speak her mind is condemned - and the violent criminal goes free (for now - I'm almost certain that criminal is a regular customer of the criminal industrial complex) A judge or anyone who yells, screams, talks down - says whatever - "does not physically hurt anyone" (and none of us are responsible to the weak minded numskulls) a violent criminal going free - has the potential to have more violence. And Florida has an over load of domestic violence. Oh well - this is proof that we clearly have a CONstitutional Govern-mint. And us Tax Slaves get to pay for all this monumental stupidity...

Its a move to have money thrown at them in bribes. Laws are secondary to fiscal kickbacks. When a judge gets bribed teh chain usually falls into place that that money trickles down. Sure Tv shows the DA being upstanding and playing by the rules but in real life if a DA gets your $50-$80 to defend you (win or lose) and can take a $10k side bank to let things slide. Guess what. Attorney here, this is ABSOLUTELY necessary. Very rarely do judges step outside their judicial rights but when it does happen they absolutely need to face the consequences.
    As a judge your job is to maintain a fair playing field amongst all parties within each individual court room and court hearing/case. Belittling a victim of domestic violence is amongst the worst things one in a protective environment can do. As a member of the judicial system you are educated, equipped, and bipartisan; with the education you have, judges absolutely know how difficult it is for a victim of domestic violence to come forth. To question or criticize a victim for not being able to come forward against their domestic abuser (like nearly 90% of all domestic violence victims I might add) is not only wrong but incredibly destructive. Domestic violence is not a joke and should not be treated as such. Using sarcasm as a slight to a victim of abuse has no being in this country and certainly not in the legal system I’m apart of. This is unacceptable and I am beyond glad she is getting appropriate punishment.

    So the judge was reprimanded on public TV.....yet allowed to continue to sit on the bench? Its sad if anyone can think of this as justice.

      Best thing I have read all day. The DOJ cannot investigate the DOJ. Because you end up with people like James Clapper, & James Comey, John Brennan, Andrew McCabe, Rod Rosenstine & Robert Muller. The top of the DOJ is swimming in Ponzi Scam, to shit around guilt, for the last administration. I pray that I'm alive when these people receive justice.
