Is that even surprising? Last year's car easily won the WCC, it won 15 of the 21 races. Remember that Racing Point aren't using last year's engine though, that's the main difference.
After 2021, Mercedes will have won 8 championships in a row with extreme ease. That’s why Hamilton is a fraud. To see how good he is, we have to look at his performances with other teams. He was good, but not great. 2007 his most impressive year, the rest he didn’t do much. In comparison, Schumacher performed miracles in 1996 with a midfield Ferrari at best. Hamilton could never dream of this.

@@imperator791 When Vettel was racing for RedBul they did an amazing job with aerodinamics, that was a good starting point to improve and win titles, as it is now for Mercedes and their engine. I can tell aereos improved so much compared to the engines cause there re less restrictions and you can modify the car freely and some teams like Ferrari and RedBul are focusing so much on it, anyways imo you need a good balance between aerodinamics, engine, frame and mechanics to compete for the championship and who is doing it better is Mercedes
When i saw both Williams on Q2 i was like OMG, what an improve... Well. They actually are much better than 2019, but they should improve much more if they want to make points.
I think the issue for them over recent years was with their technical director. He's gone and they have Russel now competing and wringing the best out of that car. Even Latifi is showing MASSIVE improvements. I'm eager to see their development over the next few years. Here's hoping they bounce back like McLaren have and we just have a more competitive sport in the midfield.
When comparing their 2020 Q1 times to 2019, Russell would actually place in 7th last year. Compared to dead last and 16th last season. that's a huge improvements as last year, they were a solid second off the pace but only .2 seconds off Q3 this time

No other top driver would have chosen Mercedes because it was literally impossible to predict that they would be able to produce such a monster of a car in the 2014 regulations.

Is that even surprising? Last year's car easily won the WCC, it won 15 of the 21 races. Remember that Racing Point aren't using last year's engine though, that's the main difference.

@@imperator791 When Vettel was racing for RedBul they did an amazing job with aerodinamics, that was a good starting point to improve and win titles, as it is now for Mercedes and their engine. I can tell aereos improved so much compared to the engines cause there re less restrictions and you can modify the car freely and some teams like Ferrari and RedBul are focusing so much on it, anyways imo you need a good balance between aerodinamics, engine, frame and mechanics to compete for the championship and who is doing it better is Mercedes

When i saw both Williams on Q2 i was like OMG, what an improve... Well. They actually are much better than 2019, but they should improve much more if they want to make points.
I think the issue for them over recent years was with their technical director. He's gone and they have Russel now competing and wringing the best out of that car. Even Latifi is showing MASSIVE improvements. I'm eager to see their development over the next few years. Here's hoping they bounce back like McLaren have and we just have a more competitive sport in the midfield.
When comparing their 2020 Q1 times to 2019, Russell would actually place in 7th last year. Compared to dead last and 16th last season.
that's a huge improvements as last year, they were a solid second off the pace but only .2 seconds off Q3 this time
They should just clone this year's Mercedes
