This Nomadic Waaagh army gave me heavy flashbacks to that massive battle report they had in WD in the late 90s - five digits worth of points on both sides, Empire against O&G, one of the O&G armies being more or less exactly what a Nomadic Waaagh list would be for TOW. Oh and also thank you for an amazing battle report, well done! :D
Automatic like and subscribe for Nomadic Waaagh and the classic models (so good). Edit: Just watched the batrep. I have dreams of fielding 30 boar boyz, they’re so good. A war boss on chariot (black orc or green) has a lot of advantages against the Peg-Duke. Can’t be killed by Killing Blow OR Monster Killer, can’t be stopped by the Falcon Horn. Glowing Green Amulet on the Battle Bus shuts down Miasma on a 2+.
Cool battle report, was enjoying to watch! Minor rules correction. On Orcs turn three you said you rallied your shaman and were able to cast Hexes and what not. That shouldn't be possible as rallying is after conjuration sub-phase. So in a turn where a wizard rallies, that sub-phase has already been passed.
Hey! Very nice game!! I’m curious at 28:00 min if your opponent chose to charge with only bsb and near unit of realm knight, you could decide to flee? It could be the better option in your opinion?:)
Somewhat baffled the Bretonnian player did not miasma the Boar Boyz again. The wyvern might be dangerous but can only threaten one unit at a time. Those impact hits however...
..the boar boyz were within the minimum range to counter charge the knights. In the end I was saved by the other unit of knights that were further away!
When the brettonian duke failed charge on fleeing chariot he should have still moved his full distance and thus been well past the boar boyz no? If a charge doesnt connect cause target flees its not a "fail" and it goes in full.
I’ve been playing my boar boyz with strength 3 impact hits because it says to use the unmodified strength stat in the core rules. But if they can legitimately go up to strength 5 then thats insane. I don’t really buy the idea that it’s somehow a different impact hit rule.
Yes I believe so. The rule states the strength and AP separately and it doesn’t say unmodified. However the big uns rule and banner of butchery are both once use per army though so it’s only one unit at s5 or two at s4.
@@d6wounds yeah I see what you mean, and I really want to to be the case. There seems to be a fair bit of disagreement on is one in the community. So I just go with the weaker interpretation of the Rule until a FAQ clears it up. Did you manage to use Strength 5 impact hits in the tournament you were going to?
@@bennconner1195 yes I did use it in the tournament! The rules for special rules say that where there are contradictions the army unique special rules take precedence over the universal special rules so I guess I didn’t think twice about it. But I take your point, if there is disagreement then probably best to go with the weaker interpretation so the eventual faq feels like a boost and not a nerf!
That's one gorgeous old-school army, the bases in oldhammer style are a huge bonus in my book as well. Awesome report & armies!

Yes, white dwarf 221 I believe? It's an epic battle report indeed!

Thanks buddy. Yes I end up taking the green amulet to the tournament for that very reason! Stay tuned for next video…
That boar boy death star was epic. Might try a combination of 2-3 units of nightgoblins + boar boy death star.
Awesome. Just make sure those fanatics don’t end up going through it!
Awesome army!
Good game! Very tactical..

Yes this is true. However in this battle the warboss used his rallying cry special rule to rally the shaman at the start of turn phase. 🤙
@@d6wounds Right, that works :)
Great win for the Waaagh! Bret duke should have thrown out a challenge and maybe survived that bore-boy encounter
Indeed! I believe I declined the challenge because I had enough attacks to take him down

Thanks for the report! Are you going to do a tournament recap/report?
I am… coming soon
🙌
Amasing looking Orc army. Well done getting the win.

The Duke then redirected his charge into the wyvern who chose to hold. So it was a failed charge in the end. Sorry if that wasn’t clear in video!
Beautie orcs

Nah, Impact Hits still follow the USR and are thus using the unmodified Strength of the mount, hence at S3.

Wouldn't the Duke been able to dodge the impact attacks by declaring a challenge?
