This sounds like how many nursing homes operate. How about a story about nursing homes too? Many times there is overbilling for basic things, and if the seniors can't pay what they may be billed by the nursing home, they are tossed out like trash.

I'm getting hit with that now I went in for medication for my toe fungus getting out of hand. I know exactly what I want to get and yet I'm being forced to go through a bunch of other tests because they saw my blood pressure was a little high. Well, I already know that , but yet I'm being forced to flirt with these freaks. The next thing you know I think they're going to deny me my toe medicine because I won't cooperate.

Nurses should no diagnose unless you are a Nurse practiced. Lower license not allowed. Again illegal they could lose their license and pay thousands in fines and could go to jail.

I applied for Medicare part A,and B. I knew that Medicare Advantage is scam. When Medicare Advantage sales people call me to switch to Medicare Advantage, I just hang up the phone.

We have refused to accept additional "offers" from our insurance companies for years. Since we are healthy and see our PCP regularly, there was only one reason for them to offer such services, and that was to pad bills. Every week over the past four years, UHC has left about 20 phone messages (not texts, actual voice messages) requesting we call them back and allow them to send a "representative" to our house to "help us maximize our medical care.
Doctors are complicit.

I’ve experienced this-although not to such a degree-but I get different diagnoses for mental illness dependent on what the insurance will want.
These doctor's scam us or the insurance companies often. My dentist sent me to a "specialist" for a root canal that I'm not sure that I need.The specialist say she couldn't perform the root canal after I took time off to make this appointment possible. She charged me $215 upfront for a ct scan. She said I have infections everywhere. I need to remove all of my infected teeth through another specialist because she can't do it on this appointment visit. She recommended dentures and know where I can have it done. Significance Dental Specialist on Cascade Valley in Las Vegas!! suck!! There's a scam brewing at this location.

As an insurance agent who enrolls people into ACA health plans I can confidently say that most people don’t have a clue on how their insurance works. Medicare for all is the only answer.

Or keep me so far under the poverty event horizon that my hysteria becomes disabling and receive double disability? With that in mind, perhaps dual and multi diagnosis people should receive double or however many diagnoses they have times benefit Payment. sad tging is when youre on the reg united health plan via marketplace, you cant find a pcp for months, they took telehealth away which was our loophole for a pcp, getting referrals is a nightmare....its now halfway through july. i found a live pcp in june to be told in july, no longer takes. and i still dont have a referral for a neurosurgeon for an aneurysm i was advised in dec. and when i was hospitalized for low pptassium we realized i need disolvable potassium, still dont have. and ironically my 99mg gummies werent cutting into my low potassium.
This happened to my grandmother, said a UTI was a super infectious bacterium and did unnecessary hazmat shit.

The main benefits of Medicare Advantage are vision and dental. To get that, patients are usually tied down to a network in their state, so they will pay out-of-network fees if they need any care while they are traveling out of state.
Medicare is available nationwide without any out of network costs. Paying for vision and dental care is almost certainly cheaper than the out of network costs if you become ill or have an accident on a trip outside of the state where you live.

Unfortunately TYT, while these coding errors do occur, you all really misunderstood the issue.
A) In many cases, docs do indeed miss adding diagnoses, and the result is that patients don't get the care they need. That's the point of the program and you left it out.
B) Lots of health insurers have negative margins on their Medicare Advantage book; you make it seem MA is some big scam, not the case.
C) Health insurers actually play a pretty big role not just in documenting coding issues, but also intervening directly to close care gaps.

Are we not allowed to criticize our Capital Hill politicians and their relationship with Big Insurance? Why won't they let my comment be posted? Yes, I criticized the Medicare "DisAdvantage" industry and told the truth about why people enroll in them -- there's no cap on yearly out-of-pocket medical expenses with Original Medicare Part A and B. And our wonderful politicians will do whatever Big Insurance tells them to do. They will NEVER let them put a limit on the patients' yearly maximum expenses with original Medicare -- because then there would be NO NEED for their "scam-advantage" plans, which provide such a huge profit for Big Insurance. What a disgusting shameful way for them to use older retired people as a revenue stream. Terrible.

Had Medicare Advantage since 2009. Now provider merged with Anthem. I get a copy of each doctor/dentist claims to Anthem, for my use of benefits. Haven't noticed any fake diagnoses. United Health Care is AARP's Medicare representative.

No, it's not. Look at CMS reimbursement levels. It's been cut every year. CMS pays physicians at the same rate they did in 1996.
@@rf2048 This is such an esoteric piece of information, to even use the term "CMS reimbursement". it shows you have the depth of knowledge to the extent that you should also know you are wrong. First off in the 1990s yes congress put in cuts to CMS to try and control medicare spending, but literally every singe year congress also passes an exception so they never actually go through. Medicare rates are very high. They are an order of magnitude higher than any other developed country compared to their payments systems. There hospitals and providers (doctors) that get filthy rich off nothing but medicare. I spent my career in this. I spent my career as one of the bad guys, negotiating contracts on behalf of hospitals and doctors to make them rich. they are incredibly overcompensated and that is the first and most important reason our healthcare sucks. And then there's the final piece: medicare is only a small portion. No other country has doctors who get filthy rich. so then the question is why did you lie about this?
