It’s an all round sad story for all involved, but I’m wondering why they were made to narrate what happened and also agreed to do it without a court hearing first. I don’t understand the Nigerian judicial process, but if they had lawyers at the time, why were they not told not to say a word? The way the girl narrated the whole story is unbelievable, without remorse for the heinous crime they committed. There’s little to nothing their lawyers can do to them, unless this testimony will not be used against them.
