The Dead End Road To Pyro

- Turning 3.20.1 into 3.21 was a clever trick. I didn't expect a full update before Citizencon considering we just got one a month ago, but here we are. Dropping bombs and dreaming of the future. A future where we can get ganked in Pyro and rage about it on Spectrum.
Also, shoutout to "ccsweezy" for helping me out and letting me fly around in his A1 Spirit!

this intro did not age well
@@Erik3E What part?
"it will be a dissapointment" lol@@AbbreviatedReviews
@@Erik3E The disappointment comes *after* Citizencon when half the stuff they show doesn't release for eight months if it does at all.
then you have different expectations. Game development is not a straight line and things taking longer is to be expected. If it gets dellayed thats fine with me its in the works and the developers love what they do unlike all the other money hungry game companies. @@AbbreviatedReviews
I am whelmed.
_While I never saw this event happen and only heard rumors of other’s success, I will get to see CitizenCon, where I‘ll get to hear rumors of upcoming Star Citizen's success._
Welp, I want to believe.
"right around the corner" bit of an understatement, more like 8 hours away...
We're quick getting around those corners these days.
Yep just xhecked Pyro off ramp not included.😅. As always great review!
Lol this guy is roasting the crap outa this game. Its amazing.
THIS will be the year that they transition to underpromising and overdelivering.
not
I think they should focus on PU PvP and exploring missions, 'cause without the server meshing in its place you can forget about AI. Meaning the PU will remain a walking simulator until then.
The "new" missions kekw. I swear their mission designer is the biggest grifter. Gotta respect the hustle of releasing "The same mission, but now over there" over and over.
It is strange to me. I don't like to bash specific people's work, but it seems like they could do more with the tools they have than they do. I don't wanna say something cliche like "think outside the box," but it really does seem like they're trapped in a box sometimes.
I'm amazed by what they manage to deliver with each new update!
Your vids are so good on this, but man SC is depressing to watch progress-wise. I'd love to just play it but looks like I'll be waiting til 2030 or beyond
There's definitely an interesting dichotomy between what we get with Star Citizen updates and what we're shown is coming in the future. This update releases with a handful of new features while a day or two later Citizencon is showing mountains of great updates and changes for the future. Part of it's obviously that not everything comes together at the same time.
If everything they showed recently was in one update, it would be incredible, but it's going to get spread out to patches like this where one or two decent things are sitting beside whatever mediocrity was finished along side it. But if you step back and look at all four of the updates this year combined, it's a pretty impressive amount of content.
The effort they have to commit to in order to keep people playing and happy (and the money coming in) involves a steady stream of updates, and I it makes those individual updates much less impactful.
Be sure to stand in line and play the pyro demo on the closed system at least 47 times 🤪
Looking forward to another tepid review..🪐
I wish I could be there, but it's always far away. Maybe one day...
