    Great video! Seems easy to replace the thermostat/sensor. Any idea of what is causing our 2013 Jacuzzi model J-345 to trip the outside breaker when turning it back on after cleaning and replacing the water. I tried to turn the breaker back on several times and it starts up until the jets turn on, then it trips the breaker. I've tested the breaker by disconnecting the hot tub from it. So I know it's not the breaker. It finally turned back on without tripping, but the temperature reading seems to be off by about 10 to 15 degrees less than the actual temperature. Could a bad temperature sensor be the cause of this issue? Any insight would help immensely... Thanks again for the awesome video!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  Год назад +2

      Good morning, so first things first you need to hire a professional. If the technician turns the jet pump on and it trips the breaker then there's a short to ground and most likely that jet pump will need to be replaced. He should unplug the jet pump and then try and turn it on again. If it stays on then the jet pumps needs to be replaced unless the jet pump got wet some how. If this is the case you should leave it off for a couple days to dry out and try it again. Hope this helps!

      Good morning, simply put, yes. It’s very possible your thermostat is out of balance and reading the temperature of the water to hot and tripping the hi limit thermostat or the hi limit is simply just bad. The service tech needs to replace both if this is what needs to be done. He should ohm out the thermostats first to confirm they need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

      Good afternoon, I would make sure the technician checked for a dirty filter and the hot tub has the correct amount of water in it. However, there are numerous things that the technician needs to test before he determines the problem. I assume he checked those things which is what's leading him toward the circuit board. I would also like to mention that when the problem is intermittent it can be very hard to diagnose. Normally when a hot tub goes into failure after a few days/weeks after resetting it over and over again, the board is normally the problem. Hope this helps!

    You are confusing "thermostat" with a thermistor sensor. A thermistor changes resistance with temperature. The temperature sensors in a hot tub are thermistors. The functions of the "thermostat" are within the electronics circuitry (main circuit control board, or possibly in the side control panel).

      Good morning, here’s the definition of a thermostat;
      a device that automatically regulates temperature, or that activates a device when the temperature reaches a certain point

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  2 года назад +1

      Good afternoon, both a good choices. I am not a huge fan of pressurized filtration on any hot tub which they both have. I simply just think it's overkill and more trouble than what its worth. However, either hot tub I think would be a good choice. I am not a fan of the large sheer descent waterfall on the Coast curve hot tub because cleaning it out can be tough. Often times debris makes it through to the back of the waterfall impeding the flow and it's hard to get it out. On the other hand, I like the electronics on Coast hot tubs better. They use Balboa and Hydropool uses Gecko. Balboa makes the best electronics in the industry in my opinion and has for 30 years. All and all I would sit in both and pick which one is more comfortable. Hope this helps!
