Glad to see you back with some Home Free. I'm old enough to remember when the Oak Ridge Boys first came out with Elvira,many years ago.This was a great collaboration, loved it and your reaction. Please do more Home Free. They have come out with a lot of new covers and original songs.
I grew up listening to the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers, both groups were the staple of my Country music as those harmonies really resonated with me. Was fortunate to attend live concerts of both groups in their heyday of their touring career. A huge statement has been reinforced numerous times over the last half dozen years when notorious artists have collaborated with Home Free in singing legacy hits and in several cases have reached out to Home Free. Home Free has shown extraordinary respect to these artists to the point there is mutual respect and admiration that is very visible both ways. Home Free is a very humble group of guys who know how to pay their respects as they showcase these well-respected and well-known artists. Just wow, and we are the benefactors of this wonderful trust as they deliberately give each other and us a chance to enjoy once again a freshness to the decades that gone on before us with a wonderful tribute. Home Free is showing the industry a strong core value of High Regard, Strong Consideration, Attentiveness, High Opinion, and Due Regard for those who have set the stage for the music we enjoy today. Thank You Home Free, for your leadership by action that we all admire and appreciate doing things the right way!!!!!💟❣
You guys bringing up cookouts by the creek is actually pretty darn accurate. For decades, the Oak Ridge Boys hosted an annual cookout and concert for their fan club. I went to one of those back in the day. Their personalities are as laid back and welcoming as Home Free.
I loved this reaction. So much fun. You could tell that the Home Free guys got just as much if a kick out if it as the Oak Ridge Boys did. It just had the vibe of a group of mates sat in the bar. Hannah was spot on with her "old vs new passing on the baton" theory. Lovely reaction ladies. Thanks!

Home Free regularly thanks ORB for giving them the stamp of approval and legitimacy in the country world by not only letting them do Elvira, but by joining with them AND inviting HF to share billing with them for a show where HF would have been content to be listed as the supporting act.
You can see the "Oom Paw Paw Maw Maw" man RIchard Sturben singing alongside Elvis when he was with J.D. Sumner and the Stamps when Elvis performed in Vegas in 1970 and 1971. In 1973, Sturben joined The Oaks, with whom he still performs.

If you get a minute, check out some of their stuff from the 1970's and 80s. Bobbie Sue, Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight, and Thank God for Kids are just some of the many great songs they did. Singing Sturban's "Dream On" put my kid to sleep many a fussy night.
I grew up with the Oakridge Boys. The shout out to Geoff Castellucci of VoicePlay for the arrangement from Tim Foust is so great. My two favorite bass singers.

When Austin was a kid he sometimes traveled & sang with his father's gospel quartet in Georgia - and he goes full gospel on this one.
The Oak Ridge Boys are legends! I've been to a couple of their concerts back in the day. The ORB are members of both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
