Tim was actually singing in his tenor voice, most of the song except for when Chance did his solo. That's when Tim was doing the bass notes.

If you haven't reacted to them yet, Tim has four videos of songs from his solo acapella album "Pieces of Me Vol 1"
All the songs on it are from the fifties and sixties and Tim layers himself singing all the parts. So you can hear him sing tenor (and baritone and bass) for a whole song. Or four of them... The whole album is good.

Just love this song from Tim's hand, a GREAT original. I also like that you can listen to this one all year as they never mention Chirstmas or the holidays actually (yes the scenery evokes that) but it's so pretty that you just want to hear it over and over !!! Yes a great relaxed feeling....couch in front of the fireplace & your sweetie next you and cuddling drinking a cup of cocoa or tea or mulled wine !!!! Home Free is so darn consistent. This is actually from the Warmest Winter album from 2020.

I think you need to revisit and properly analyse Mayday because Tim was the highest voice for the majority of that song and, as others have said already 'Will you still love me, tomorrow/Stay needs to be looked at, if I can also suggest, again We Three Kings by The Hound and The Fox feat. Austin and Chance duetting is a treat we don't get very often. And Darren did the 'guitar' but we have seen Austin do a similar sound before in Do You Hear - just not as low. The fact that they can all contribute 'sounds' to the mix is nearly as amazing as their harmonies. It really frees them up for live performances. Adam and Austin do a short nomonica duet now on ...Man of Constant Sorrow? - crap now I have to go watch and see if I got the right song.

You can hear the subtle difference in the rhythm bass between Chance and Tim when they switch off, backing each other’s lead. And Darren’s bong bong adds flavor. This is a Tim original. Darren Rust arranges their music and makes a demo of himself for each voice before they rehearse and record. That saves a lot of time for them. Darren was a member of a famous Midwest Accapella group back in the day before he began his recording studio. Tim, who had sung with so many guys with put-together groups over the years, said they often filled in with whatever parts were missing. That is why Tim and Peter Hollens are so comfortable doing so many parts when they do their duo recordings. Tim and Peter were part of the same group for three months in the 2000’s. Tim has said that Darren’s demos are often better than their own recordings.

Darren and The Blenders are still singing, although now they only do Christmas concerts in Minneapolis and Fargo. I’m actually going or see them tonight. They are still fantastic. They added a band a while ago, but still do several acapella songs during the concert.
