  • Who doesn't love a good podcast? In this episode I share my top 10 Film & Photography related podcasts that I listen to on a weekly basis, and feel you should be as well. This list has a broad range of focus, with everything from interviews and conversations to gear talk and short little nuggets of gold to chew on through your week, much like the TMT series.
    Although my thoughts on the last 5 podcasts may be a bit biased at this point because of interviews I've done on each of the channels, I must emphasize I am sharing these from a standpoint of having listened to their channels since before my interview, and have been a fan of each before the fact.
    Links to each of these channels are in the show notes below. Be sure to leave a comment letting me know what your favorite film photography podcasts are!

    Man, you are far too kind. Thanks again not only for including my show, but for dedicating an episode to podcasts. I feel like they’re often overlooked, but contain so much free information and encouragement.
    I’ll add another to your list that you may be well aware of. Also from Nashville, the MUSEA podcast. Lots of great content to be heard. Thanks again Nick!

      Wes Bowker you’re more than welcome, brotha! I love what you’re doing, and love that you’re focusing on the family life of creatives. A topic overlooked far too often. And I am familiar with Musea’s Podcast. I haven’t listened to it in a while since they stopped posting a year or two ago. Are they posting new episodes again? I guess I could just swing over there and check it out for myself. Haha. Thanks again, Wes!

    Podcasts and youtube have been two indispensible tools in my photographic education. I've gotten the chance to meet a lot of the people I've listened to/watched and it's made all the difference. Keep being awesome, Nick. Hope to see you on more podcasts in the not too distant future. Against The Grain perhaps? ;)

      @NickExposed  6 лет назад +1

      Hey Andre, I completely agree! They are such great learning tools, with so many wonderful content creators to connect with. I would be humbled to be asked onto any other shows in the future (I need someone to tip off Ibarionex for me 😂😂). I don't believe I've heard of Against The Grain, Ill have to check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!

    FPP all the way. Film Photography Podcast and the FPP store is a great place for film and all things traditional. It's amazing!!!!!!

    I have been listening to Studio C41 recently, they started off slow, but the last few episodes have picked up nicely. And also Against the Grain, these guys can get derailed quite easily, but over all the content is good.

    Awesome there are so new ones I've never heard of. Awesome to hear you're enjoying 'camera position'. I believe The Candid Frame also interviewed Jeff Curto. I highly recommend 'The Half Tone' podcast as well.

    Dude, you missed two massively good photography podcasts: Visual Revolutionary and No Filter Podcast. I've listened to many of the episodes from both dozens of times each, literally (used to work in a wood shop and wore earbuds for 40+ hours a week).
    Visual Revolutionary recommendations: Keith Ladzinski, David Clifford, David Black, Cory Richards, Rich Clarkson, Grant Brittain, David Carson, Jason Lee, David Alan Harvey...but all of them are good. I haven't listened to the more recent ones.
    No Filter Podcast by Robin Moore (Nat Geo photographers): Pete Muller is absolutely outstanding. Such an articulate guy. He really articulates how photography is a medium for diving into understanding humanity. But also: Lynn Johnson, Annie Griffiths (legends) Amy Toensing, Jim Richarson, Matthieu Paley..
    Robin Moore is not as consistent with posting new interviews, but these are gold.

    Such an awesome list of photography podcasts! Will definitely be checking out the ones that are new to me.
    My favourite is probably Matt Day's 'The Shoot' and I'm not just saying this but I would say my favourite two episodes of it were yours and Jason Lee's discussions. :) It's always great to discover more about photographers that you know and who's work you admire.

    • @NickExposed

      Hannah O'Brien Photography man to be referenced in the same statement as Jason Lee is humbling. Haha. And I agree Matt’s interviews are incredible!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Hannah!
