Breathwork is key because people aren't even aware that they're breathing shallow their whole lives, as they are too reactive to the world and others around them.. and they're destroying their own brain capacity and shortening their lives because they're not spending time in diaphragmatic breathing and meditation
As a hypnotherapist I help my clients overcome depression in 3 sessions max… I have practiced for 9 years and this is basically always the case. The fact that people are prescribed medication for something that needs to be fixed in the subconscious mind is ludicrous. It speaks to the ignorance, about depression, by the professionals prescribing the meds. Also to the ignorance about depression in general. Our emotions do want a voice. When they are ignored they get louder. So these studies make perfect sense. We need to teach the things mentioned in the vid in schools.
@@Pilgrimsrummet that's because those leading "experts" , psychologists, counselors, mental health therapists, etc. rely on mostly talk therapy to treat their patients - which is not very effective because you can't talk your way out of emotional trauma using logic, reasoning, love, sympathy, compassion, trauma analysis, etc. because the brain area involved in trauma does not respond to those things. It's like trying to put out a large fire with a small glass of water. There are supplements you can try for emotional trauma - b vitamins etc. which will probably give better results. There's also something called trauma releasing exercises, and shaking for trauma (body shaking). Look those up. And finally, prolonged fasting may also heal emotional trauma since emotional trauma is actually a medical condition with physical changes/abnormalities in the brain and elsewhere in the body - just like depression, anxiety, and other psychiatric conditions.
The reason this is likely accurate is because you have an inner child that you carry with you from childhood into your adult body. And it's waiting for you to acknowledge the emotions within it that have been repressed or stuck. Which creates energy blockages in the body which result in illness and disease. We create our own ailments by whatever we are not willing to acknowledge and release and surrender in our own bodies. People don't realize that they make themselves sick and they are the ones that can make themselves well. Just by clearing out old wounding and triggers and Trauma that are stored within the body's systems.... fascia is one of them. But if you're naming an emotion The body knows you've paid attention to it and you're at least attempting to free it from that repressed subconscious in motion we didn't even know was there. By being in the present moment, which is where the body only knows how to be..... it cannot be in the future when we are anxious or in the past which makes us depressed... we are then honoring our beautiful Sovereign bodies and temples. And how we choose to treat it and what we choose to put in it is a direct reflection of how we feel about ourselves and how much we love and value ourselves.❤ it's just waiting to be paid attention to😊 When people recognize that they need to keep the focus within themselves for their own self-love and self-preservation so that they can navigate the world in a healthy way, and learn to detach from family belief systems, what other things or say or do.... because it has nothing to do with them..... you are then freeing yourself which also can eliminate depression. Depression means you are repressing your soul.... Soul repression... your true self that you came here to be no matter what others thought of you... when you step into your passions and your creativity as you decide...... you are freeing yourself from depression. Depression means you need a deep rest because you have been likely in the fawning mode from childhood trauma which means people pleasing mode... it's wasteful to bother trying to please another because you cannot give them something they've never offered themselves before. And it is their job to do their own healing, no one can do the healing for anyone else. Nor should we use others as a distraction to avoid our own healing, then we also get in the way of them doing their own. And that's not demonstrating love for anyone, is it? Taking away their ability to be accountable etcetera The only way to heal another is to heal yourself.❤
Plagued with this virus for most of my life until I let go of my ego, pride and started controlling my emotions. Keep learning, developing and growing and cut out the screen time, bad food, alcohol and smoke. Stay active and that's the cure. Stay Uncommon!
The title of this gives false hope. Those of us that are truly suffering weren’t expecting to hear breath work and nothing meaningful. This was very disappointing.
Try anything when you’re depressed, don’t dismiss anything out of hand, you never know what will work for you , everyone is different. I have never tried breath work but the more I hear about it the more intriguing I find it and I’m going to dig for information on it. Do you think hypnosis can cure depression? I never thought hypnosis could do anything until I tried it for smoking and was amazed. Then I went further with it and was blown out of the water. My 30 year depression was suddenly gone through a profound hypnosis session that I never thought was possible. Doesn’t mean it’ll work for everyone. All I’m saying is keep an open mind and try anything, you never know what you might discover.

Severe depression is horrific. If you know you know. It’s scary as hell and truly terrifying
I used to hold my pee until I almost peed the bed cause I didn’t want to move so much

I haven't experienced a day's depression since I went onto HRT post (menopause). Hormonal imbalance has a very big affect on mood.

How come complex trauma often takes years if not decades to heal?
All leading experts on the field says there are no quick fixes to this.

Are there ways to determine exactly which body system or body organ where one's emotional trauma is stored?
Elegant summary.
Tldr
A bunch of self help mumbo jumbo

Yes, various hacks and quick fixes is not gonna do it. All heavy names in trauma research always point this out.

I know he means well, and is probably pretty knowledgeable, but Huberman puts me to sleep when he speaks. His delivery is boring and monotone.
Then why do you listen to him? Listen to some dumb thing instead!
