In your install video you did not use end caps it necessary? Should i caulk around the ends of the water dam? Will the adhesive come loose over time because of water exposure. Should I seal with caulk?
You do not need to use end caps if you shower walls meet the shower pan or base at a right angle. In these type of installation you would use a friction fit of the water dam up against the wall and then use silicon caulk around the dam and the wall.
This product can be used in other areas like the bathroom entrance. Some manufacturing companies use it on concreate floors to surround their equipment.
Hello, Thank you for your interest in this product and your question. After approx 10 years at $7.00 per ft, we required a price increase. We are now selling this collapsible water dam at $8.00 per ft.
$8.00 per ft. with "your minimum requirement being a purchase of 8' to 10' " is absurd and dishonest in my opinion--And especially with your video demonstration requiring merely 3'! You make a $24.00 job into a $64.00 to $80.00 purchase. No thank you! So much for my attempt to support a small vendor vs. Amazon
2024: I don't see a minimum now. It's $9/foot now and high shipping, presumably because it's coming from Canada (I'm in the US). I'm going to try it out, nevertheless. If it works, it'll be worth it.
This is a very good video. Easy and informational and straight to the point should have a lot more likes and views 😊
will this work with shower doors that are installed as mine leak from the ends as my shower tray has no lip
Our water dam would basically create a lip. Please send us a few photos so we can review your situation. Tom@StayDrySystems.com

Can you step on it safely?
The water dam is made of very flexible rubber which will collaps when step on.
Can we use on bathroom entrance?

Have a video showing install with end caps?
Good suggestion. Most people put a bit of water on the end cap to act as lubricate to push the cap into the end of the wall channel.
