I feel the arch would look better if it was taller and didn't circle around to the ground. Just leave it straight down the side columns. As it is it looks like a Hobbit door. 😊
Nice, however, this isn't technically an arch. It's more of an square, arches are more rounded in the middle at the top. Aside, from that, GREAT JOB. GENIUS IDEA.
I find it easier to pound in the pvc, if you cut the bottom at a 45 degree angle instead of straight across. The sharper point make pounding it in easier.
Hi there. Hey i want to encourage you to make several channels. Make a news channel and a story time channel. Just read and pretty much anything and make long videos. You can make clips of the longer vids for shorts to gain followers but.. your voice has a certian smoothness that many people would be happy to listen to. Doesnt matter really what you read or say, people will listen because your voice for whatever reason is soothing loke the older radio ahow host that many people would listen to and fall asleep at the sound of the radio show host soothing voice.
Grow ya a mustache and your finally ready to cruise neighborhoods in your panel van and lure the unsuspecting to see the inside of that van with creepy monotone voice!
🫣😞So tacky. If she had put that effort into putting it all around those doorway columns it would have been impressive. I didn’t like the guys outdoor ‘archway’ either 😖
DINING TABLE LOOKS ELEGANT, YOUR HOME IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT, THAT ARCH IS NOT FOR INDOORS.. MAYBE PUT A GARLAND N MISTLETOE INSTEAD.. THAT ARCH IS TOO LOW, EVERYONE IS GONNA HAVE TO DUCK LOW , OR TEASE YOU AND ACT IF THEY ARE PLAYING THE LIMBO..
When Aunt Susie come for dinner in her electric wheelchair its gonna come tumbling down on that elegant table and might flip Aunt Susie and her wheelchair over. For Real, that's very dangerous.
That indoor arch at the beginning is too short... Tall people will have to frequently stoop. The arch is cute, but doesn't seem to take into consideration tall people.
The first one got better once it got wrapped around the like the garland. To each their own, but I will never really like rope lights. They look kinda okay when on but so tacky and out of place when off.
I would have just figured out a way to attach it to the house..... Would have looked much smoother. But, he gave nice ideas and he did a nice job for the effort. :) I agree though...arches might have been a bit nicer.
@@colleenfraserdoggiekisses, Please forgive my ignorance... How do you bend the rebar & how would you connect the pieces together, if you're not a welder?
Sadly, I didn't like either. The square arch did nothing for me and the one in the house is too clumsy and intrusive. As someone else said, I would have decorated the columns and forgone the archway entirely. It seems to be more an archway to do balloons on, not garland. But this is my own personal taste. If they love it, great. It's just not for me.
The indoor arch way was pretty cool. It looks like if you want to make it taller you wouldn't need to use the full circle. Prop up on something and wrap them like presents. Then do another bow on the bottom where it can hold it into place as well.
I've been doing this for a couple of years now - it's really fun! I've made a gingerbread house, two sets of gifts, and this year I just finished making an igloo for my penguin. Wish I could share pictures - they all look really awesome!
Its gorgeous and I love it… but…2 balls are a little bit funny and so unbalanced… I learned that its having odd numbers such as 3, 5, 7 to make it Fung-sway… but for sure will make my dumpy old single wide trailer much more festive
Can’t find spay paint :( J/k! The arch was very nice, I would of tried to cut the button, and lift the arch about 2 ft. Maybe some lights in there as well. Great idea.
Her house is so beautiful!! I would've done that technique with the garland on the columns instead of an arch. That carpet would be a trip hazard and the arch would need to be raised for taller people.
Absolutely beautiful ❤️. I love this idea. Merry Christmas to you and your family. 🎄🎄⛄🎋🎍 Not a fan of the indoor arch . It's a trip hazard. Decorating the doorway would have been better...just my opinion. The first one was absolutely beautiful.
Yes PVC pipe cracks when hit by a hammer. Any tube, short of thick metal, will crack, bend, snap or be crushed when hit by a hammer. To help “prevent” this from happening simply place a piece of wood, a 2X4 or 1/2” plywood for example, on the top of the PVC pipe. Now hammer the wood not the pipe. It’s that simple
Skip the elbows and just arch the PVC over the sidewalk; use a heat gun to soften the PVC if needed. Skip the garland too and using painters tape to paint as candy canes. Less tacky and a bit more festive.
Kinda gaudy. Also looks like you'd have to be hobbit size to fit through the second one lol. I'm sure people love ducking to get through a doorway...not.
I still can't stop hitting the dang hanging light on my head, the basement ceiling gown down the stairs, or the stupid floating shelf my wife wanted above the bed. you honestly think I'm going to not destroy that walking through it 😂 let alone alcohol and being stuffed come holidays play a roll. Oh also Chasing 4 kids
Great ideas! Looks gorgeous and I love the narrator's voice, so calm and easy listening, and the little added enthusiasm makes it sound like he really enjoys doing this! Reminds me of Mr Rogers!
The indoor arch turned out pretty but it appears to be quite short. I am imaging many friends and family would be crouching very low to get through. Concerned about the tripping potential as well.
I was trying to make a circle with half inch pipe 20 foot long .i had a 20 foot piece of chain link top rail and put 20 strings of lights down to the big circle of pipe but as I almost had it where it was about to connect it sounded like it was going to break. My neighbor was sitting at his gate watching and got out and came over and said son why don’t u put 1 end in your tail pipe and warm it up. Why didn’t I think of that. Is was freezing when I did this and after I did that it just went together so easy
Hometalk these are repeats, we should be seeing new videos each year! Iv been watching you for years and it's all what we've already seen. I also think the arch greenery looks really tired. Time for some new Decorations! How about investing in a rectangle frame? 😊
I don’t mean to offend others creative projects, because at least he attempted to do something. But yeah, that’s a big MEHHH for me. One small gust of winter storm weather here in the Midwest and that plastic is going down! I thought at first he was going to run the LED’s in the PVC and stick them out of holes drilled into the PVC pipe. 🤣🤣
Great, more landfill plastic for a cheap decoration you’ll use once and make another next year. How about give your kids/grandkids the gift of a future 🌎
Very meh and so environmentally unfriendly with all the zip ties that will be cut off and thrown in the garbage. The arch looks like a total tripping hazard. Esp. with making numerous walks across it over and over to bring food items.
She should have put the arch the top and on the inside of the pillars then wrap the pillars to look like trees then you have like three trees in their look like you're in a forest just give me an idea how come we don't have more than one tree in our house when we do Christmas why don't we have like a bunch of trees and make them look like you're actually in a forest or you can do one tree for every member of the family I'm thinking that's a new tradition in my house man I hope I can fit 26 1/2 trees in my trailer home
What would add to the indoor decor is hanging some shiny balls from the dining room chandelier at different heights with ribbon. If you have any more greenery, you could put it around the top of the chandelier with another of your plaid bows.
Is that indoor arch for oompa loompas? It looks tacky with that ramp and carpet. Decorating the columns would be so much classier
I feel the arch would look better if it was taller and didn't circle around to the ground. Just leave it straight down the side columns. As it is it looks like a Hobbit door. 😊
Yes, rope light looked tacky, until it was wrapped around pvc.
So beautiful ❤

Pretty arch, but needs to be high so you don’t have to duck down to walk through, great idea, and good job.
Good luck pounding that pole in the ground during winter. Depending where you live.
That indoor arch at the beginning is too short... Tall people will have to frequently stoop. The arch is cute, but doesn't seem to take into consideration tall people.
The arch is wacky tacky. Hard pass on that idea. 👎
Lol his family redid it. It looked better too. Thanks fam🤶🎅sorry dad. I thought u did a great job for a guy.

It's like this. Not my style, but if my hubby even halfway attempted doing this for Christmas, I'd be thrilled!!😮
What was the of all that crap
It's easier to use rebar vs. pvc in the ground. Also, if you use rebar, then you will have a U-shaped arch vs. square and don't need the elbows.
We used rebar to build an arch that sits in front of the doorway that gets decorated for each holiday.
They got sticks of one inch pvc you can flex into an arch.
Drive 2 steaks in the ground and slide the pipe over the steak.

That was cute but kinda tacky indoors. Not something I would do in my house. I can just see folks tripping on that.
Agree !
Agree. Too low and missing lights
I didn't like it either.
The "tripping over", that part
I can just see Aunt Susie trying to cross through with her electric wheelchair or Uncle Bob with his electric walker 😮
Arch came out decent but if you have a tall guest, it might not work
Both arches looked terrible. So much more could have been done with the waste on these tacky projects
Those pvc pipes..hmmm. Sorry not a fan.looks tacky and cheap.

You should do a video on them! People would love it
I would use a real archway for the second and make it taller. The circle is making me feel like I have to bend down and I'm 5'1".
Great idea for the archway, but I'd go some conduit to bend easier.
That lady made a nice archway, but she must not have cats..
Its gorgeous and I love it… but…2 balls are a little bit funny and so unbalanced… I learned that its having odd numbers such as 3, 5, 7 to make it Fung-sway… but for sure will make my dumpy old single wide trailer much more festive

Instead of zip ties you can get green wire ties in the garden section of the big box home improvement stores.

The second archway is a wonderful idea but I will use green tape or spray paint the arch green to help hide the white more. Thanks for sharing.
