i’ve been loving sketching in my sketchbook lately with my tombow markers but they’re water-based so i’ve never actually tried alcohol markers before! but i’m definitely curious now ☺️ love the casual and chill vibes in this video! ✏️🫶🏾

Haha yea i thought that a lot of people don’t actually get my channelname unfortunately 😅 i’d love to call it simply “Joy” but that makes zero sense from a business standpoint 🥲 it’s already taken everywhere and i will never show up in search results haha so I went for spelling it in swissgerman which i really love and it feels right but for non german languages it doesn’t translate well sadly 🥲 well i hope with time people will get it 😂🤞🏻

Alcohol markers are never ever lightfast. They are made of dyes. Unless there’s some indication in the marketing of pigments they will not be lightfast. Windsor and Newton has a pigment marker if I’m not mistaken but they are kind of different to alcohol markers.
Yes that’s why i scan things i that i like a lot! All tho in my sketchbook they never really see light so it holds quite long! A lot of people don’t know that they fade tho! Some sell original alcohol marker art which i think isn’t okey since it will vanish eventually 😂 I think i tried windsor and Newton ones, they’re different but really nice too! but since i have lots of copics and now ARRTX markets it makes mo sense to buy new ones unfortunately hahah! 🥲 I mostly know alcohol markers from when i used them in landscape architecture where we always scanned it anyways haha 🌞
