I plan to make 2 orders Ghost and Boarding the Tantive 4, and E-wing and sith infiltrator and use one of the gwp sets to offset some of the cost.

I know Mos Eisley also had a May 4th deal last year which many thought meant the set would finally retire as predicted. However here we are again in the same prediciment, and no telling if itll retire this year haha. I believe it also was on sale either during VIP week or Lego Days/Prime week. Rakuten usually does a pretty good job of keeping track of Lego sales periods. All of last year was phenomenal, usually 5-10% back, with I believe VIP week or Lego days offering 15% cash back, which was wild. It was definitely the best year Iv had using that app since I got it

I'm unclear about Rakuten. I have no problem activating the Rakuten extension and having it work on my first order. Is it necessary to reactivate it on each subsequent order?
Anyone have insight on the fine print, one promo per household? Is that ignored by LEGO for online purchases? If I make separated purchases and ship them to different addresses would I bypass that parameter to score another promo pack?

Hey, here in the UK on ebay we have already many preorders on either Troop Carrier only or the bundle with other gifts, prices after converstion vary from 40 to 55 dollars, so it doesnt seem they will reach 70 after release or am i missing something? Btw i recently discovered your channel and overall very good job, thank you!
The prices the sets sell for will vary by region, but I will say that the preorder listings aren’t necessarily indicative of what they’ll sale for when the GWPs are available for purchase. Many people aren’t thinking about buying them from eBay right now since the promotion hasn’t started yet. Depending on how high demand is, aftermarket prices could increase during the first day or 2 of the promotion. Hard to know for sure, they could end up selling for less. Last year I was selling my Death Star GWP bundles for $70+, so that’s where I got my price target.

If the ghost is discounted, I’ll get a second set. I had been thinking of getting both the x and y-wing for personal collection but not sure yet. The AT-AT is nice, but that price tag though…

Hi there, I’m thinking about getting the most eisley cantina set. Retiring at the end of the year, 4x vip points, 21 mini figs, it doesn’t seem to bad. Should I go for it? Personally I’m not to bothered by the set and would probably rather get 2 gunships but I may regret that decision once the cantina retires and i see the gunship on sale, what would you advise?
I love it. It’s an essential set to own. One of THE key locations in the Star Wars universe. And it’s done well. I don’t think it will be updated in full like this for at least 10 years, if ever. There is nothing they can do to improve it.
I can’t give investing advice, but I’ll share what I would do in this situation. If I had a limited budget and had to choose between those 2 sets, I would probably go with the Cantina. I would consider how you plan to sell the set, if online, there will be high shipping costs and fees. Just something to consider

Not that I don't agree with you on the Stormtrooper Mech, but I'm reluctant to use them to reach the threshold because they aren't exclusives and will be on sale at some point through other retailers. I'd rather spend $165 getting there with a couple Brickheadz than $161 using some Mechs to get there. I'm sure the mechs will be $4 off at some point, but I'm not sure about that with Brickheadz.

Lego uses UPS not USPS.
First off your analysis is really good.
BUT there is NO way people spend $70 for the GWP - maybe $40. The droid carrier is not going to be valued like a collectible - it’s going to be valued like a set that people will be willing to pay MSRP for.

It seems to already be trending towards that sub $50 for the 3, & it's only day one, who knows by the time we get the gwps in a week, what the going price might be. I made my 4 orders, & done because of the early trend. I think like you said, the fact that it isn't nearly as collectible as the Death Star is the cause, & as per usual, the secondary, and third gift, hold little values..

There seems to be a market for them, there’s an element of collectability to them now since they also had a coin last year. They do sell slower, that’s why I try to sell all 3 GWPs in a bundle
Or the $5 poly bag. If it’s used it’s like $2 and bricks and minifigs will give you 30 cents store credit for it. If it’s mint in bag in 8 years it might raise as high as $7. … pretty useless.
I am hearing that you can only get one GWP per household. So be warned if you think you can make 4 separate orders and get 4 GWP you might only get one.
It always says one per household in the T&C, but they still give them to you for every order that qualifies

If you take a second to think about it, if we’re not selling our GWPs, then the ‘true Star Wars’ fans won’t be able to buy them for army building. 🤔
I sell them, because there are even larger fans of the gwp. I had over 200 gwps. Where should in store them?
