    After filming this video, the New York Postcard was unfortunately removed from the 2024 Brick Tap retirement list. I’ll continue keeping an eye on the other two postcards projected to retire in 2024, but they likely will not be #1 in my next top 10 video.

      Everything New York seems to get their retirement pushed back 😅

    Thank you for all the work you put into these videos. I really appreciate that. One video a week is perfect for me. I think there's no need for more than that.

    Damn, here I was thinking the John Deere set was my sleeper set for 2024 and it's the first set you mention 😂.
    That's okay. I have another in the Friends line that is needed for the complete building stack...
    The Typewriter and NES are also on my list.

    • @BrickDomain

      Haha yeah I haven’t really heard much talk about that set!
      Nice, there is one Friends set that I’m eyeing this year as well 👀

    Congrats on 2k!!🎉🎉
    As always, great content. It's great to have someone explain why they feel sets will perform well using both numbers and logic. Better early than late!!
    John Deere does well in other major collectible categories such as matchbox or hot wheels all the way to antiques. The sets with short shelf lives catch me off-guard and I miss out getting a chance to add them to my inventory. But, the shortest shelf life sets seem to do the best. If I'm missing sets as an avid investor, I'm sure regular buyers and collectors will get fomo on many of the new sets with those short lives.
    I dont know about frodo and golum. Golum looks like a naked baby lol i only got the set for free by purchasing LOTR set day 1 release. I think frodo and golum might go under the radar if others think its ugly or will be over produced but tbh, Im thrown off by the set being a gwp for the day 1 release weekend. I do think LOTR brickheadz will do great. I will start looking to stock up when we get a decent gwp!!! Lol😂

      Thanks Dan!
      Definitely, expecting the same trend to follow with John Deere LEGO sets.
      That is true, I’ll have to check out some other videos to see what people think about that BrickHeadz set!

    I got the John Deere tractor for my nephew who has helped grandpa raise chickens since he was 3yo and he loved it - I will definitely be buying him the other small JD sets. LOVE the A frame cabin for investing. Glad to hear your thoughts on El Dorado

    Beijing and Australia are unpopular. New York is selling great. I didn't know that Paris retired, just doesn't make sense since it was the most popular. It was always hard to get even in the Lego stores.

    • @BrickDomain
      @BrickDomain  11 месяцев назад

      Yeah it would be interesting to know why they decided to retire that set over the other!

    I'm also eyeing 31144 this year but it's no where to be found in my country.😂 looks like a limited run in limited regions for this particular set.

    Hey Brick Dynasty! Just curious about your opinion on set 76215, Black Panther Head Bust. I purchased 3 of these off legos site as they are going for 40% off. (Roughly $215 each after shipping costs, $350 MSRP) over the next 2 years do you think these will be a good investment, or should I return these while I still have the return option?
    Also, What sets that are available for purchase from retailers right now would be good investments, assuming I will not be in contact with my lego investing portfolio over the next 2 years (given living circumstances). Thanks so much! Love the content!

    • @BrickDomain
      @BrickDomain  11 месяцев назад +1

      I can’t tell you want to do since I don’t give investment advice, all I’d say is I’d rather have $645 to invest in other sets than have 3 Black Panther Busts.
      As far as sets I’m looking at for investing, all 10 sets I broke down in this video are looking good to me right now. It is still early in the year though, some of these sets could be extended or their circumstances could change, making them not great investments. I typically don’t start buying sets for investing until midyear.

    Ever broken open a 5 pack of Brickheadz and sold them separately? I am going to try it...

    • @BrickDomain

      I haven’t, for me the effort it takes to sell them individually isn’t worth the small extra profit

    Hello recently I just purchase the lego Luke Skywalker helmet brand new, however it didn't came in with a seal trips or translucent tap, what does that mean and does it affect the value?

    • @BrickDomain
      @BrickDomain  11 месяцев назад

      Nope! That varies based on what factory they were manufactured in. My Skywalker helmets also don’t have seals, they have punch tabs

    I see you counting gwp sales towards a discount, but I think that's a stretch. Lots of gwps need minimum Order of 200, and some then only sell for 25-30. That's 15% discount max, far from 30-40%.

    • @BrickDomain
      @BrickDomain  10 месяцев назад +1

      GWPs are just one aspect of discount stacking, there is also cash back from Honey or Rakuten, credit card cash back, and Insiders points.
      Here’s a recent example with the Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) with an order of $200 from last month:
      -sold launchpad for ~$68, after fees and shipping I netted ~$50.
      -Student Beans was giving away codes to get the Blacktron Cruiser on purchases for $190 or more. I sold that set for ~$35, after fees and shipping I netted ~$22.
      -Honey has cash back exclusive offers between 10-20% of a large range of sets. If we say you only got sets that were 10% cash back, that’s $20.
      -Insiders points give you $10 cash back to spend on future orders
      -Buying LEGO gift cards from Amazon with a prime card and paying for your orders with them gives you 5% cash back, that’s ~$10.
      In total, on a $200 order, you would have gotten $112 in cash back, creating a 56% discount on your order before sales tax. If you only bought sets that had 20% cash back through Honey, your discount would have been 66%.

    Nothing on the cantina???

    • @RittenhousesRifle
      @RittenhousesRifle 10 месяцев назад

      That’s what I’m saying. The Cantina is a sure winner on just the minifigures alone. It also won’t be hoarded like that since it’s already an expensive set.

    • @BrickDomain

      It was first added to the Brick Tap list that’s posted on the Legoleak subreddit each month. It’s now been added to the Brick Fanatics list as well in their February update 👍
