Wow this is a great video . Looking at the city being planned it looks like the same mistakes are being made no green spaces and not planning for pedestrian traffic and no parking . But it is a start I pray The Gambia is next in making progress
On the contrary, all this is already planned this city is called to be green with parks, cycling tracks and a lot of airy space. A city is not built overnight.
Decentralization with separate zones of activity makes cities inefficient. Walking to complete everyday tasks becomes difficult so cars and the attendant congestion becomes inevitable.
A look at the parking spaces tells you all you need to know.
This is not that difficult to see. Hire a smarter urban planner and allow them to do the job without interference.

Senegalese usually have inheritance form their parents. Houses are passed from generation to generations. Boys in the family usually take over and look after the family home. They Marry and bring the wife to the family home. So having homes is not really a problem
