Hi Joffhope, Try this. Select the subject first. (Masking>Select Subject) Then, go up to invert (three little dots near that selected mask) pull down to invert selection ( choose invert "Mask 1") and it will select everything but what you originally selected. Let us know if that works.
This is soooo good, specially for underwater pictures with light getting through the subjects
Thank you! Glad its working for you.
Beautiful capture
Thanks for watching
that's very interesting. That give me some ideas. Thanks
Glad to hear it! It's fun to revisit some older images and see how masking can improve them. Have fun!

You are welcome.
it would of been cool to show both pictures at the end! together the Before and after
Good idea, just ran out of time, since it had been under 60 seconds to be a RUclips short.
Wow great tips. Thanks

Hi Terry, do you knoss we how to save an AI mask created in Bridge? When I close Bridge all the AI masks don’t save. I have to manually update them.
I don’t use Bridge, so I can’t help much on that. Sorry.
Is it possible on the iPad as well or only on the computer to combine those two points ?
I don't use the iPad version, so, I only know it to work on the Lightroom Classic version.
What version?
13.2 is the version.
Ok, here is my problem with that. Whenever i hit invert The whole image gets selected… every time… what am i doing wrong

Great tip, but sort of feels like cheating, if that’s not how it actually was!
Yeah, a little like cheating but it's fun to have these tools at our disposal.
