When I stand up fast after sitting for a while, I would get very dizzy. A little trick I discovered that clears it is before you stand up, sit up, and raise your arms to the ceiling like how people do on a rollercoaster. Keep your arms raised for about 5 to 10 seconds, and when you stand, you should be okay. If not, I apologize that it's not the method for you.
FRIST TIME I TRYED IT "IT WORKED, I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT" THANK YOU THANK YOU. I'VE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH VERTIGO FOR SOMETIME NOW NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO GOD BLESS YOU 🙏
Thanks Doc! I felt so much better, I was struggling from three days and I did this excercise for about two hours and I'm one hundred percent fine! Thank you so much! World needs more people like you!
I, too, was a skeptic. Weeks after having done the Epley many times, I was only left with a bit of residual vertigo when I lay down on my back and then move my head. This maneuver took care of that last bit of vertigo, and it was much easier than the Epley. THANK YOU!!!
Oh my god! This exercise turned magical for me as I was suffering from vertigo for the very 1st time in my life, since 2 to 3 months but couldn't treat it to the fullest due to pandemic... This exercise helped me feel best & secure with in a minute.. Can you believe! Jus a minute. Finally, I'am feeling great. Seems like almost 95% of my vertigo has got treated at home without much efforts. Thank you much for uploading this video... May god bless you & fulfill allllll ur desires! ❤️
Having endured several days of Vertigo I tried this simple technique and it worked. I did experience extreme Vertigo when bending forward as I started the manoeuvre but I stuck with it and then sat down and upright. I can honestly say I have not had any dizziness in over a week and have regained my confidence in tackling the tasks that brought on the Vertigo. Give it a try and thank you for this video.
I have been dizzy for over 2 weeks .I had ears Checked and went to hospital for a check up ,all normal .I tried this today the dizziness has gone .thankyou so much 😁👍amazing .
I just want to say thank you. I tried this maneuver as I’ve been having some vertigo in my right ear. After I did this, I felt more balanced and less dizzy. So thank you.

My wife has had ongoing issues with vertigo to various degrees for a few weeks. She tried this exercise about 10 hours ago and is still feeling better than she has for quite a while! :-)
That is awesome!! Thanks for the feedback and I am glad she is feeling better. Now we need to find the cause of the problem. I have found it is usually related to the spinal structure.

Thank you!I've never tried this one but I will keep it in mind. When I get dizzy it hits quickly and pretty intensely. I have about thirty seconds to a minute before I get nausious and start to vomit. I feel like im spinning in the dryer its so intense. Wherever I am at the time, I sit down to avoid falling, and tug on my ear. I take my bad side earlobe, pull it out and forward, the tug quickly and firmly in a forward and upward motion. I tug maybe 10 to 15 times. Since I started doing that as soon as I feel the spins coming on, it slowly comes to a stop before It progresses to the point of nausea. After that, I feel a bit off but after maybe 30 minutes to an hour then Im usually 100% fine. If it lingers longer, I will take a little nap and sleep it off. People stare because I drop to the floor out of no where and start pulling on my ears, but some judgement from strangers is a small price to pay to avoid that nightmare. So far its worked pretty well for me.

I am active and retired at 73 from six decades in to our second chapter: in New Orleans. Non smoker, no alcohol, pretty much on the go all the time, me and hubby. Suddenly, this morning without any warning, the room began to spin, and I had to lie down. I felt helpless and frankly, terrified. It just got worse. I wound up calling 911 since my first thought was a stroke, or heart attack. The Neurology Dept at Tulane did a complete workup - heart rhythm EKG, MRI, blood pressure, tests of every description. Now I am searching on natural interventions including diet changes, and exercises...
HI! I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. The exercise in this video has been great for while you are in the spins. I have a few other steps to help manage and handle the symptoms while you are in then. You can get those here: alignwc.com/free-vertigo-steps-pdf/ I also go over some of the keys I have found to lifestyle factors that cause this and cause this to re-occur. Let me know what you think of them.
You sound like a female version of me, every detail (including the age )being the same except that my vertigo suddenly came on when I lay down in bed 2 weeks ago. Doctor a few days later noticed I have ear wax, prescribed sodium bicarbonate ear drops to clear the wax , they've helped , now vertigo is lessened and if I feel a spin coming on, i close my eyes and start breathing deep and slow though my nose which brings the vertigo under control. Don't know if any of this will help you but don't give up!
Thank you Doctor for the tips. I've experienced this years ago along with migraines. What I figured out, as the earth and room I was in was spinning and I was standing still, if I put my chin to my chest the spinning stopped. Even if I was laying down. Often I woke up and was spinning. So, I put my chin to my chest and the spinning stopped. After that I did neck strengthening exercises. Thank you again.
This method is a lot easier than some of the others. I had back surgery, and have 18 screws, rods, bolts, etc. Too much hardware to try the excessive laying down & sitting up. Thank You for this video !!!
Same here. I have had scoliosis surgeries with many metal implants in my body. Many times I have been wondering whether my vertigo is due to my ears or spine... 🤔

I'm elderly now(82) Have suffered with some level of BPPV occasionally since my first experience with vertigo in my thirties. Usually triggered by sinus/allergy issues. I have used the Epley maneuver with success but it takes time which I don't always have.. Nasal inhalers, Vicks and Benedryx also help along with occasional use of low dose Benedryl for evening or bedtime and Sudafed for daytime. A couple days ago, for the first time, I experienced vertigo getting up from the dental chair. I'm tiny and my dentist office doesn't have a child dental chair nor does anyone in my semi-rural area so to get comfortable and in the right position so the hygienist can work, I use a bunch of pillows for my neck and back and keep my knees up. For decades I've been doing this and never had a problem. But since the last routine visit six months ago, the dental office has changed its instrumentation because repetitive motion has caught up with the hygienists. These instruments cause a strong vibration right next to my Eustachian tubes. Luckily, a staff member had a piece of gum that helped me on the10 minute drive home where medication settled me down. It was at home that I finally figured out the difference between this visit and the last and called the dentist about it. The dentist insists it was not the vibration from the instruments but the position of my neck that caused the problem. I find it interesting that the only difference in this latest visit was the change of instrumentation. What is your opinion as to the cause and how I can avoid repeating the same scary experience every six months when I visit the office for a routine cleaning. Thank goodness, I still have all my teeth and take excellent care of them so major work is not involved. Of course as with everything else in my senior years, that could change. I hope you have some suggestions for me.

Hi Doctor Greg. I'm intrigued by this alternative to the Epley Maneuver which I first used at home about 4 years ago when I first experienced BPPV. I'd spent 6 hours in the ER going through tests and being medicated for the dizziness, when just before releasing me the ER doctor told me to look up the Epley on RUclips. I don't know why he couldn't have done that when I first arrived instead of giving me the medicines, etc. EPLEY works. SINCE THEN, several times a year --- I have to be very careful when I bend over and reach things under cabinets in the kitchen, etc because that seems to dislodge the crystals. Of course, I forget about it until several days later when I notice I'm a little 'off', or sometimes it's 4 the next morning when I'm suddenly reeling from onset of the spins. Then I have to go do the Epley which is scary and sickening but, as I said, it does work. I'm 66 years old. How can I stop having these attacks? I try to be so careful about bending over, but there's no getting around such activity. Will these inner ear 'crystals' ever go away??
This really helped me I had vertigo for a week I tried the eply maneuver and it just wasn’t working for me I tried this and within minutes I was feeling better I couldn’t believe it I followed along with the acupressure thank you

The Epley Maneuver for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo works very well for me. I have suffered with BPPV for almost 40 years and just discovered Epley a couple of years ago.
Yep, i have had vertigo for 40 years also. I learned about the Epley maneuver 3 years ago and it absolutely cured me. Maybe once a year i repeat it for mild dizziness, and then i am instantly cured again. I just do it at home by myself, easy. Can't believe i went thru 40 years of dizziness when such an easy cure was available by 1979. Not one doctor ever told me about this, thank god for the internet! lol.
Thanks a lot. That's a really helpful and quick way of recovering. And great advice on what type of sitting object. Important not to panic. Breathing slowly and deeply to calm down is helpful too.
I’ve suffered vertigo since the age of 16, along with nystagmus. It’s the most scariest feeling, and if you’ve never suffered a bout? You have no idea how debilitating vertigo actually is. @@lordbyron3603 that is great. Glad you found your answer as HP pressure can cause things worse then vertigo like a stroke. HP pressure may causes dizziness or few other symptoms but rarely the symptoms of spinning vertigo, vomiting and diarrhea with hearing loss. Most people with Menieres have normal blood pressure. The two are not linked and everyone should have their BP monitored regularly vertigo or not. If you have HBP take your medication as required, cut sodium and lose weight.

2 hours !!!!! thats a long time
You did it for 2 hrs straight wow , I have it for 3 days now I’m happy you said that , going to try that .

Hey does this work I did have vertigo first time still here after 2 months
Having endured several days of Vertigo I tried this simple technique and it worked. I did experience extreme Vertigo when bending forward as I started the manoeuvre but I stuck with it and then sat down and upright. I can honestly say I have not had any dizziness in over a week and have regained my confidence in tackling the tasks that brought on the Vertigo. Give it a try and thank you for this video.
I am glad to see it has help! keep up the good work!

I was having vertigo for quite some time but for some reason for the last past few nonths it was teally bad an yesterday i tried this amd the dizziness went away wow wow wow i will be passing this on to others
@@seektruth9982 I would imagine that having issues would cause a person to hold their head and neck differently ... i.e. affecting the crystal placement.
Wow! It sounds like you have found a plan to manage the crisis, now you need to figure out what to do between crisis so they don't go back into crisis. Check out this patient's story on how she has been able to overcome this 20 year problem. ruclips.net/video/6yu6YDICfwc/видео.html
Sounds like Menieres?
have you tried the steroid shots to your bad ear? ive had some success with that as well as vestibular therapy because of problems driving and walking through stores etc. i know how scary drop attacks are and i wish you wellness and joy. also wanted to ask if you have deafness or ringing before your attacks, extreme tiredness or fullness in ears? thanks
Great realization. Let me know if you need any other help!!

This helped a lot after a miserable day, many thanks

Great questions. I have answered many of them in this video. ruclips.net/video/UiaXsPj6e0Y/видео.html Let me know what you think.
Instead of bending over, I squat and keep my head up - that is if I remember not to bend over!

The Epley Maneuver for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo works very well for me. I have suffered with BPPV for almost 40 years and just discovered Epley a couple of years ago.
I am so happy you have found a solution.
Not one doctor ever told me about this, thank god for the internet! lol.

I HAD STOPPED TAKING MY HBP medication. I discovered Vertigo and HBP are closely related . As soon as I went back on the medication, the vertigo stopped . Amazing !
