I would upgrade the transmitter, the inputs seem to be laggy. I havent ran mine as of yet, I'm doing diffs tonite, then I'm upgrading to Radiolink. Good video.
Oh she has plenty of back flip in her. All you gotta do is go to a 23t pinion and turn the punch up. I did that except I put 20million in my center and 500k front and 200k rear. I can hit a small little hill and do double back flips easily. I like the truck except the fact that you can’t put batteries in them the correct way and you have to make your own pinion gear cover because I guess redcat had no thought that anyone would want to change that crappy 18T pinion.
That's good to hear! I'm definitely putting a bigger pinion gear and see how I like it. Punch was at full in the vid. It's a good handling truck for sure....... I do have a 5690 hobbywing setting on my bench 👀🤔
You have to do away with one of the motor screws on the top and you’ll still have 2 screws like every other rc car. Just remove that 1 top screw that’s the closet to the edge. You can go up to a 24t pinion but that’s it without modifying stuff. Which hopefully someone comes out with a motor mount soon and gear cover for the vigilante
Nice runs. So how would you compare it to an xmaxx after having both? How close is it in terms of durability? Can it handle super rough terrain and bumps as good as an xmaxx? Between these 2 for first big rc
@@smoothwookienookie5912 it's the only RC on the market that is competition for the xmaxx In my opinion. it's definitely up there as far as durability. I'd go Redcat at 850$
@@2LocosRCing I really appreciate the reply. Would love to see a video of them running together, going over rough terrain in that pit. Looks like such a nice truck, and it's slightly bigger footprint is just icing on the cake
@@smoothwookienookie5912 that would be a fun vid! It's just so hot here in west TX as of late that I stay in the house 🥵😂 I'll get back to making vids here soon!
@@2LocosRCingppl are having dif issues that’s why I heard Redcat told me is because the center diff can only do 1 million have you corrected the air control issue ? And yeah I’d rather keep it I have a mega Kraton build she a beast I love me my arrmas
@@TMIVRC changing up the fluids in the diffs and sum bigger tires helped. It crushes rough terrain for sure and that's what I use it for. I don't send it that much these days, take it to the lake and do sum ground pounding with it. It's a fun truck.
You don't need bigger or heavier tires! Those 1/5 tracks need 15 million and 20 million center diff fluid
Before this vid I went through and changed all the diff fluid.
Cool 😊cool truck

I'm thinking of upgrading to a better radio.

How did you fit a 23t pinion in that truck with that motor mount? Just curious, I want to do the same.

What’s your overall verdict on this truck I have to take it out of layaway I have no choice to take it out but I think I want to sell it ?
@@TMIVRC I think it's a good truck. I don't have any complaints with it. Idk why you want to sell it, give it a chance.
