@@2LocosRCing in my stock shocks I went 30w at 1st after a few runs and knee high jumps not sends just let’s say cute jumps And then I went to 50w in stock shocks and that’s where I am I think another u’Tuber used corally 6s buggy shocks I think your 27.5 could be alright in The faster you’d like your shocks to action you’ll have thinner fluids Thick slower you’d like your shocks to action you’ll go with thicker oil 🫡

I'm just gonna throw in a metal geared speakrum servo I have laying around when the time comes. Servox servos are really nice, have one in my notorious.

@@smoothwookienookie5912 it's the only RC on the market that is competition for the xmaxx In my opinion. it's definitely up there as far as durability. I'd go Redcat at 850$

No, you can run the same front and back. There's really no rule, experiment, tune the shocks how you like.

I just put the kraton on 12s hobbywing system 😈 so my opinion may change 😂..Really depends on what I'm doing, if I'm gonna be doing backflips/stunts I'm going outcast. The kraton is more for ground pounding and hitting sum jumps here and there... Having said all of that. I lean towards the outcast!

Most of the time 😂. The xmaxx in by far the best basher in my experience. The Redcat vigilante is definitely a contender for a xmaxx killer,It's right there with arrma for sure .

Team corally is makes great stuff and should get more love.... They do suck to work on tho 😆🥴. Arrma is solid,pick and choose you can't lose.

Yes you are correct. I have no idea how that happened, used a vise to straighten it and put it back in. Truck's been solid since.

Had issues with my xmaxx then start manually setting the mesh. The Maxx slash will be back next with! 💪

It didn't sound right to me either but I double checked it and it has the pin system 🤷

@@2LocosRCing Did you physically look at the mesh to make sure? That looks as if the mesh was way too loose.

Absolutely a teeth mesh issue before it even moved it was TOO tight 😮 that’s not a Traxxas problem the pin system as I’m sure you would be aware of requires that the pinion and spur be correct for the pin chosen. I do agree with you it severely limits options at times. But just makes it imperative to match the gear ratio to the pin used. Hope you get her going again soon 👊🏻

That's good to hear! I'm definitely putting a bigger pinion gear and see how I like it. Punch was at full in the vid. It's a good handling truck for sure....... I do have a 5690 hobbywing setting on my bench 👀🤔

How did you fit a 23t pinion in that truck with that motor mount? Just curious, I want to do the same.

You have to do away with one of the motor screws on the top and you’ll still have 2 screws like every other rc car. Just remove that 1 top screw that’s the closet to the edge. You can go up to a 24t pinion but that’s it without modifying stuff. Which hopefully someone comes out with a motor mount soon and gear cover for the vigilante

⁠@@2LocosRCingsame here, I think the Tekno pinions are the smoothest. Arrma pinions are a hit or miss as far as them being true.

It's a great truck and definitely is a xmaxx competitor

adjust front to rear shocks. you want more preload in the front.
