What I really, really like about WA products is how easy to use they are. Yes, they are very expensive, but as someone who uses and owns just a few makeup products, I can justify the purchase. I have the blush, the contour stick, the highlighter, and they are all great. My motor skills are limited due to a disability, so I really appreciate how easy to apply and blend out the complexion products are. And they give you that “your skin but better” effect, which I love. Great review as always, Wayne xo
Wayne, you got me in trouble today😂 My husband turned on RUclips and I let out a squeal (mind you I am 60yo) "Oh my handsome boy has a new video". I took the remote from my husband and clicked on this video. I look over at my husband and he is staring at me then the tv. With a grin on his face, he says "Well I guess he is a good looking kid, but you already know how to put makeup on". 👀👁👁 8:46
WA products are truly pricey AF, but they are my dream products! A few swipes of the foundation stick, contour and blush, blend with a brush or just press in with fingers and I am ready to go! These are the perfect products for a mom/anyone on the go who wants to look a bit more put together but still natural. She really has created some standout complexion products!
WA is extortionate in Australia. The trio eye pods are $150. Three powder bronzer, $125…powder highlighter $140..mascara $75.. I simply can’t justify this..😳
Definitely paying for the name. Think even if there was no magnet it would cost a lot. Elf has some lipsticks that have a magnetic cap and aren't expensive. Can't imagine anyone with nails trying to open the products. Don't understand why they didn't put a little notch either. Wayne, it's a good thing you mentioned those flaws. Very helpful.
I, however, am so happy that brown mascara is making a comeback. I like a very natural look (I am a grey haired, former brunette) and black looks like, well, I am wearing makeup. I agree it looks good when I want that look, but for everyday, having my lashes look like they are long and thick on their own, is my preference. Thanks for the review!
I’m a redhead with very fair skin and very long eyelashes, so a good coating of black mascara looks quite stark. brown gives me the definition in a more natural subtle way
I adore these Westman Atelier products! They are so luxe feeling and as you said - the complexion products are incredible and so easy to use. I’ve been using the exact same products and colors that you applied here, - except for those eye pods! I haven’t heard great things about them, although they did look very pretty when you applied them - and I did very much appreciate your little tricks for toning down the depth and shine! I sometimes feel the need to do just that after I’ve applied my full look, but I’m afraid to wreck or muddy the shadows up. Softening and toning things down a bit just makes things look more effortless and chic imo, especially for us ‘maturing’ women. So, thanks for showing us such an easy fix for accomplishing that, Wayne! *I have the other stick highlighter by WA as well, but I reach for my “Peau de Rose” most often. I would love to see how you apply that stick highlighter sometime, maybe I’m not getting all that I could out of it? Thank you for sharing your techniques with us❣️
Oh gosh! I’m literally in my bathroom doing my makeup with their foundation at this very moment… I hope you don’t say something that makes me regret it because I love this foundation!
Thank you for calling out how annoyingly difficult opening the compacts can be. If I didn't love the what is inside I would've thrown them in the garbage.
Wayne-I love that we have access to the knowledge you possess here on RUclips-thank you! So helpful. I truly appreciated a more in-depth review from you & agree with your assessment of WA products. Love their complexion sticks….especially as a girly with cool, fair skin tone. I love using their bronzer in Biscuit and more recently, am enjoying their two new blush shades 😊😊 You look great and I hope you feel it as well❣️❣️
I love my Westman Atelier. You just have to pick and choose. Instead of that oil and foundation I chose the complexion drops. It is sheer and lovely. The stick blush is my favorite of their products. I have the contour stick and the highlight stick, both are really nice but I rarely use them. The matte lipstick in the tube is great. Zero of the hard to open compacts.
This was incredibly helpful! Honestly I look out for when her products are bundled and then that goes on sale…I really have liked all the complexion products I’ve purchased.
I’ve been using WA for at least a couple of years now, and I agree with you. The complexion products are just beautiful. The foundation stick is the best I’ve ever used. And you are not exaggerating about the compact and how difficult it is to open. I have nails, so I can usually get it fairly easily. I can’t imagine how someone would get them open without nails. You should review the new lipsticks. They are better than their previous lip products.
I really appreciate you, Wayne, and love your thoughtful and informative videos. I completely agree about the packaging problem with opening things when your hands are a little slippery from product - completely frustrating!
I love WA cream products. The new lipsticks are gorgeous. I have not had anything quite like them. These products are pricey but the performance and quality are worth it. They also last a long time.
dear wayne I'm anxiously awaiting your new make up line! I met you late when the references I would like ran out! yours are the only expensive products that make me want to buy. please make some make up products for us!!!❤❤❤
Looks amazing, I would be afraid of the oil as I have oily skin but wow it looks awesome, I love the application of the products very user friendly. Have a great weekend. Take some you time maybe just a walk and breathe. Take care and stay safe.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Wayne! I just purchased the new White Gold Eyeshadow brushes #9, #11, & #12! Super excited to try these out! Thank you for the Westman Atilier review. I do love the Biscuitt Contour stick. It's my absolute favorite in this category. I plan to try the WA blusher stick also! ❤
I agree on you about the face products I have 4 of the blushes and they are amazing but I hate the magnet that prevents me from storing them together. I love the bronzer that is probably my most favorite product if their entire line and then it comes Petal. Very good review I always agree with you and I love your lipsticks and lip liners much more.
I have all the complexion products as well, I LOVE the foundation. I have mature asian skin with slight rosacea and it just looks natural without being cakey. Also, the face serum is amazing. Thanks Wayne!
I completely agree with you on these products. I love the brand and most of the products in the line. The compacts are a nightmare and I won’t replace them once I use them up. I have nails and I don’t understand how such a savvy person and brand would design packaging that the consumer can’t open. I have always been puzzled by that decision. Their contour and blush products are excellent and 2 of my favorite products. Thank you for sharing this review.
Dear Wayne, my initial purchase from Westman was an eyeshadow pod off e bay. Agree, difficult to use, and too warm. I also took a punt on the skin tint, which is a little shiny but when I review my make up selfie, makes me glow in a good way and friends have commented how healthy and natural I look. Finally splurged on the bronzer and the consistency and look is wonderful Thank you for your review I wanted to understand if the contour stick and blush were worth investing in. And now I have your excellent review to guide me. I really appreciate your enthusiasm for what works well and honesty when good be better. Eva
Thank you for reviewing this brand. I do have several products but they are complexion products. I won't be trying the items that you aren't as enthused about as I think I would feel the same since I have mature skin. You saved me a little money!
I really like the eye shadows for travel. They are a simple wash of color that you can literally apply in the dark (which is pretty much every single hotel bathroom). I use the darker shade as an eyeliner and the lighter shade all over the lid. Quick and easy and make just enough of impact to look polished. I am an older woman who appreciates the simplicity in that. That being said, they are a pricey item to relegate solely to travel. The complexion is where WA shines. The lip products are very underwhelming. Thanks for your honest reviews Wayne. Oh and I share your pain in the ridiculous packing of their compacts. So difficult and that at price, should be refillable (especially for a clean brand who promotes recycling). xo
Thanks for your review. I’m personally a big fan of their foundation, the best one i ever used. Also the blushes and highlighters are just a dream to use. Yes they are pricy, but for me truly worth it
I have both lip compacts. I use a lip brush to apply. I love them. I don’t find them sheer and i find them very long lasting. I use your lip pencil with them.
Hi dear Wayne! Loved this video, always clear, always honest! The WA complexion products are so super good, and the rest is, so, so. These eyeshadows i still have them, but don't know why, i tried almost every type of brush, sponge, my fingers, it's just not good enough. Packaging beautiful, but packaging is not most important for me, Wayne. When i use these contour/bronze sticks, have shade 1 and shade 2, it's so easy, does never disturb foundation underneath, also the blushes don't do that, as well as the highlighters, it's perfection. It's a hit and miss brand, or how do you call that in England and America, Netherlands here. But that's what it is, and very expensive. Really need to try the foundation, the other complexion products are super good! Can't wait for your brushes to arrive from Beautylish! Wishing you a wonderful day!!!❤
Great review. Having bought a few items, you sure get a lot of product for the price. I’ve realised I’ll never finish them, since only a swipe of each is needed. The complexion drops are beautiful and my skin gets compliments wearing it, but jeez the smell is quite strong. Agree with the compacts being hard to open. Thanks Wayne.
Good for you Wayne! As you know it is imported to thoughtfully choose the battles ( big or small ) we enter and I feel you make a good choice here. Cheers buddy! 🥂
what is that cute little face brush you’re using??😮 I was so glad when she came out with lipsticks because I hate the little compacts because they’re so hard to open! plus her skincare is ridiculously priced😑 $325. for a Vitamin C product 😱
what do you prefer, the westman complexion stick or the minimalist from merit? i own and love merit's, but i'm thinking of buying westman's when mine is finished.
Your skin looks absolutely gorgeous! I adore the WA complexion products - they look beautiful on and I feel like they've improved my skin. I agree - I wouldn't buy the eyeshadows or the lip products though.
The contour stick is for me the one product that worths for me the money. I also like the blushes and highlights but the contour is for me perfection. The funny part is that I’m not a contour or bronzer person!😂 This one is probably the one I truly love.
You are great but prices of this kind of stuff got really insane in the past two yrs or so. I love make up. But this insanity is not for me anymore. Ill keep on watching you because I know one can reach nearly the same looks with something cheaper and your suggestions are alwsys precious. Thank you❤
Wayne, you look gorgeous as usual 😘 the only WA product I have is the baby cheeks in Bichette and it’s my least used cream blush and I have a lot. For me it was a waste of money as I prefer a creamier blush with more shine but this is more matte in finish. I much prefer the Huda blush stick which is way cheaper and looks better.
Oh that’s so great, I’m going to use the unwearable serum base tint drops under a more matt foundation. I was gutted that it wore shiny on its own but that oil as a base idea made me think 👍
Thank you for showing us how to ameliorate the problem of too shiny eye shadow ! At almost 60, the problem is real. I do love shine on the lid, though. My only criticism of my new Byredo palette is the 2 matte shadows are too deep for an all over shade. I also wish they were a more universal tone that worked with all/most of the palette. I have not tried WA, but the foundation looks great. I think the price per ounce/gram fact is very interesting. Thanks for posting.
I thought I don’t need another lip gloss/balm but as I like WA I still tried the squeaky clean and I was surprised how much I liked the formula on my lips. On my lip carnation the shades are quite different from one another. I got the pipsqeak and the ma puce.
The packaging is awesome but so annoying 😅. Fortunately that does not stop me from purchasing the blush products. I think the blush products are usable for all skin tones! I thought the foundation made me look too greasy (ugh). Great review. TY!
I am with you on all counts. The mascara flakes and/or transfers..I wish it did not because it is beautiful when first applied. As to the magnets, I deal with the fact they repel each other is to turn every other one. It does mess with my aesthetic in my drawer, but it works 😘
Happy Friday Wayne ❤ It's so frustrating when brands have wonderful packaging but impossible to open, I wish these brands thought more about those who find it hard to open these types of clasps x
The complexion products are stellar, I'm probably one of the few that has no issues with the compacts but everyone I know does. The beige lip compact is meant to be sheer, kind of a nude lip balm kind of formula before the lip oils/balms with the wand came out, and while they are not as pigmented as the other lipsticks, I use them when I do Zoom classes and I am being recorded because the lights wash me out and I look dead and I can use the colours tint my lips without makeup me look made up. It's that "natural girl" kind of vibe. But if I had to pick, it would be stick foundation, blushers, contours and the highlight sticks they don't fail and don't break me out and I've repurchased all of them since 2019/20 when I started buying except for the blushers which take forever to finish because you get so much product.
Don’t like the eyeshadow I do not have the skill to work with the texture, I like a mascara that is a bolder look and yes crazy expensive ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you for your honesty!
I love those stick foundations but primer doesn’t work under them.❤ Use that contour as well❤ Adore the blush stick petal❤ Now I want their highlighter. That looks gorgeous❤
The WA powder is stunning, especially on mature skin. I love the complexion products. I have nails and I still find opening the round items a pain! You missed the newer matte lipsticks that actually are in a more trational lipstick tube. At first I didn’t love them, but the more I’ve experienced them it’s a like, which is awfully expensive for not a love. Some of the eye stacks include mattes. I wish the individual pods were sold individually, because the texture is nice.
Love the foundation stick and Petal blush. Mimi blush turns orange on me. Biscuit contour is nice but I seldom use it. Hate the cream highlighter. No lasting power. The powder formula is nice but the the pink shade blahs me out.
As an older woman I appreciate the sheerness of the eye shadows but I do find them hard to apply. Getting product on to the brush and then onto the eye is an effort and agree not worth it. The stick blush and stick highlights are lovely but I do find the foundation sits on top of the skin a bit giving me a slightly waxy look. The lip glosses are really nice and not sticky at all, feel very nourishing but look like a sheer lip balm and they do all look very similar. Just buy one and go a shade darker than you want.
Aside from this as usual excellent review, I've been looking through your vids for a makeup solution to wrinkles around the mouth, aka smokers lips, but for those of us who don't smoke, let's call them kiss krinkles. I'm going to keep rummaging in the back vid library, but fingers crossed, you've got a brilliant solution?
Love this commentary. I have many WA products, but am dismayed they have minimal, if any, matte eyeshadows. And when I travel with the eye pods, the magnetic lids come off and go everywhere.
Westman Atelier seems so expensive but it lasts for absolutely ever. I’m still on my first foundation sticks and it’s been 2 years (I use both II and III). I also love Biscuit contour, the powder bronzer, Peau de Peche Superloaded and the one in the squeeze bottle too and Peau de sante too. I also love the Lit up sticks in Brûlée and Parla. That said, I think the eye products are a miss as well as the lip glosses too.
I love many Westman Atelier products, but get so frustrated with the highlighter compact. Struggle to open. I’m not familiar with oil, but going to shop it. Would you say it’s appropriate for older skin? Thanks for your great videos.
What I really, really like about WA products is how easy to use they are. Yes, they are very expensive, but as someone who uses and owns just a few makeup products, I can justify the purchase. I have the blush, the contour stick, the highlighter, and they are all great. You are so right Wayne - I love the complexion items as well. I use the foundation, blush and contour.
WA is so perfect for the no makeup makeup look. I love watching you . Such a good looking and charming guy ❤
I love Westman Atelier products. But the best thing is watching Gucci tutorial on RUclips. And yours of course!

3:20 mini versions don’t have magnets. So if you want something to fit in your travel bag and don’t fight with other product - buy minis.

Your skin is beautiful Wayne! Does the foundation crease i am 53 years and worry it will sink into fine lines.
Yes!! Black mascara is it for me. I get the idea of brown mascara, but I agree, black mascara is better.

Happy Friday Wayne ❤
It's so frustrating when brands have wonderful packaging but impossible to open, I wish these brands thought more about those who find it hard to open these types of clasps x
Dang! I just bought Laura Mercier foundation because you liked it so much. I’ve not received it yet, do you prefer this one? Love your videos!!!
Wayne have you tried her new mat lipsticks. I like the neutral pink. I use her complexion products every day. I receive compliments on my glow
I’ve never had any issues with the compacts either!
Don’t like the eyeshadow I do not have the skill to work with the texture, I like a mascara that is a bolder look and yes crazy expensive ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you for your honesty!
I love this brand also. I never tried the eyeshadows.
I use tweezers, poking straight into packaging that is difficult to open. I just bought a few items and hope I can deal with it!
Laura geller used to do a lovely lip suede compact like that, it was brilliant.
I love those stick foundations but primer doesn’t work under them.❤ Use that contour as well❤ Adore the blush stick petal❤ Now I want their highlighter. That looks gorgeous❤
Wayne do you think the foundation would be good coverage for rosacea?
I agree with your assessment, I love the complexion products.
What an intresting lipstick compact. Never seen that before.
Thanks for your honest review of the eye pods. I have been eyeing those for quite a while. (pun not intended)
What do you think about her vitamin C serum Wayne?
Thank you for this review. I definitely need contour sticks.
I do not think you compared the highlighter stick versus the ultra tinted powder/cream highlighter, What is the difference? Which do you like best?
Love this commentary. I have many WA products, but am dismayed they have minimal, if any, matte eyeshadows. And when I travel with the eye pods, the magnetic lids come off and go everywhere.
love their products, thank you for the demo! What shade of the skin liquid super loaded did you use?
I actually liked the aeys , she does have some new lipsticks I think about 10 gorgeous shades. Any way darling you are a star 🌟 love it 😀 ❤
Thank you for this video I want to try the contour stick
Finally honey, I’ve been waiting for you to review. Only a few opinions I trust ❤
what is that cute little face brush you’re using??😮
Yes! Cute and worked so well with everything.😊
Ayy I have the WA foundation on today. And really I checked this brand out because of your reco many years ago. Good content🎉
I use a staple remover that has the flat metal tip and I keep it with my makeup for these type of packaging issues.
Genius idea! 👏👏👏
