I spend a considerable amount of time each video pondering who you remind me of. Once (with bright lips) it was Cindy Crawford. Once (with soft pink blush) it was Audrey Hepburn. Who’s going to show up is somewhat disorienting. Demi Moore? Marissa Berenson? Today your eye makeup’s giving me early 80s Jennifer O’Neill. You’re welcome.
I'm watching this and then I'm going to cosplay 'pampered princess with extremely discerning tastes in luxury products' later while finger painting on my drugstore makeup before dashing out the door 🤣
Dont apologize for "nerding over color theory" your imput is so valuable to me as a light olive undertone and for so many others. If something, we want more !❤❤❤
I agree so much- you’re the whole reason I realised I was green 😂 being so pale I don’t realise that was possible, I just thought I looked dead without makeup 😂 so thank you!
*condup* The stories behind these luxury goods are just the brand's marketing strategy, and the history and culture are also part of the marketing, in order to deepen consumers' recognition and make them more willing to spend money. Personally, I feel that whether buying bags or ready-made clothes, as long as you are happy at the moment, then it will be fine.
I absolutely agree - never apologize for nerding out. it's FASCINATING and helpful (when I follow, Kackie is very quick-speaking sometimes!) I'd love to hear more about the olive/green thing. AFAIK I'm neutral leaning warm with maybe rosy undertones? I don't know but I think I look dead without makeup too.
Ughhhh I love that there is a place on RUclips I can go to just enjoy thinking about luxury beauty 😂 it takes up so much of my brain space and I don’t care
Your skin does look stunningly smooth and hydrated. But.... I have to tell you.... I'm 62 and my daughter is 38, and we love learning color theory from you! It has truly changed our makeup game! We've been enjoying so many more options we never knew we could try. Thank you so so much! Btw, she's a medium, olive , and I'm a medium neutral. So we are playing so much and having a ball!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😃👍🏼😘
The Chanel atelier is the most Fun stores in New York! They are : Please play all you want; absolutely No pressure to buy and a true love of education. As much or as little help as you want. Nothing like it. And they make your package beautiful and special.
Thank you for continuing to mention scents because it helps me not even get my hopes up for something before I research later and find out it has fragrance. Gucci would have my money for aesthetics alone if they weren't parfumed.
Tower 28 costs more per oz. than the Givenchy concealer so I don't understand why Tower 28 gets the ultimate affordability trophy that other concealers' price points are compared to. I'm looking at all the viewers who freak out when a creator says the Givenchy is worth buying, because they say it has an unrealistic price point.
Rare beauty product the same you calculate the cost by onze many are more expensive than Charlotte Tilbury and other 😅 people continue to say it’s very abordable… but non lol
It's a trick many brands use and most consumers do not calculate price per ml or ounce. Same hoes for Huda Beauty blushes. They cost more per punce than the Hourglass ones, which is pretty shocking.
@ the new Rare beauty brows gel the price is higher to ABH, but look the quantity … the quantity is the same of the mini ABH brows gel. The last time I buy the new YSL liquid blush 15ml, RB is 7.5ml and the YSL not cost two times the RB they cost less by ml. People continue with this brand is less cheap than many brand 🤦♀️
@TeaCup1940 Yeah, the trick wouldn't work so well if RUclips Creators did the math and pointed it out to the followers/commenters who complain about pricey product recommendations.
Really enjoyed this video! So glad you swatched the Westman Atelier blushes....gosh, for a while now I've been lusting for Mimi as the pics on the website show it to be a cool pink with grey tones..but it's positively caramel next to Garconne...! Surratt eyeshadows are my favorites...
i bought the baume essentiel in dragee at your recommendation previously, but it's fun to hear you talk about it again because it's a MAGIC MAKEUP STICK. i even wear it on bare skin sometimes to look healthier. favorite thing i've bought after watching your videos.
“Try these YSL palettes,” you said. “They’re stunning and you absolutely need this color story for the 564846th time, because the formula is amazing.” “Do I need four of the five? Yes, yes I do,” I replied. “You bought HOW MANY?! You only have two eyes!” my wife wailed. I regret absolutely nothing. 😂
Are you going to review the new LE lip balms? I'm curious to see how pigmented they are. The pink one is pretty, but it looks a little cool toned and bright. Would love to know your thoughts!
I am wondering if you could put in the description area what shade's you have chosen for yourself, it helps to see the difference in my own skin and try a color. Thanks so much.
Love the Givenchy Prisme Libre concealer and powder for my 71-year skin. The WA contour and blush shades are remarkable. Gucci bronzer in 01 is my staple. My newest discovery is the Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint for every day wear. Since I live a pretty laid back life here in Maine, it really suits my lifestyle.
The YSL clear balm really did make me mad when I first put it on. It truly is my favorite ever clear balm/gloss, and I'd love to find a cheaper version.
As soon as I saw the title of this video, I clicked it and came directly to the comment section. You are one of the few RUclipsrs that I would value your opinion on. Had to come back to the comment section to tell you your eyes look amazing!👀💯✌🏽
Lisa Eldridge eyeshadows are out of this world they are very gorgeous even her colorful palette is wearable 😍 I’m very tempted to try the new YSL eyeshadows but I’m not sure which color story I will go for I love neutral eyeshadows and there are so many options
I'm in LOVE with the Armani bronzer... finally a color that compliments my medium tan golden skintone like no other (not orange, red, or turns muddy). The formula and color saturation is excellent! 💜💜💜
Kia Ora Kackie! I love how you go in depth on Tone, contrast, colour with foundations, concealer...pretty much all make up! Which foundation and concealer would you recommend for a woman 54yrs? I am similar coloring to you and low contrast skin color from what I could make out from watching a few of your vlogs.
Thanks for another great video. I also had difficulty using Westman Atelier's Lit Up stick and ended up giving them away. I gave it another try while playing at Sephora and finally realized how to make this product work for me. I use the Lit Up in Brulée as a lovely bronzer/brush when applied with a light sweep. The Lit Up in the shade Lit (glass iridescent) is the perfect primer when used in the center of my face. The shade Lit erases my pores, adds light and allows for the flawless application of the WA Foundation Stick.
So happy someone speaks about channel foudation. They really are my hollygrail with Lisa Eldridge foundation and tint.I have almost all Lisa's palettes and Fawn is my favorite so far with Myth.
God, the Gucci packaging is just absolutely gorgeous. It's ornamented in such a classic yet not dated way. It's only a matter of time before i spend my fun money on their 6/10 blush with 11/10 packaging.
I HATE that the WA biscuit mini lid doesn’t stay on. There’s no magnet, there’s no twist, or click. I hate actually traveling with it cause it just gets on everything with the lis just coming off. Even in my drawer, it’s so little it somehow always ends up on its side, with no lid. I do not enjoy interacting with it.
I used up an entire full sized Westman Atelier contour stick in Biscuit. Bought the Makeup by Mario sculpting stick next. Used that up and went back to Westman Atelier. It is truly the best of the best! ❤M
I have a few of the products mentioned. Unfortunately, the VB primer pilled horribly under my makeup, so I tend to stick with Ciaté or Hourglass. I LOVE my Westman Atelier contour and blush sticks. I also love my Givenchy Prisme Libre blush. I have the Gucci bronzer, which I also enjoy. Thanks for a great video!
I just finished the VBB primer, and though I lusted after it for months, I was SO disappointed . Never felt moisturizing, usually did pill under all my foundation ps! Except for the kajal liners, I think my love affair with VBB is over. My Eyewear sticks have broken, my glosses went rancid after 6 months, and they keep raising prices. I do love the Gucci bronzer!
@@judylopatin6110 yep, I went through a lusting faze, too 😅. There are other luxury brands that have a better shelf life, quality, and price point! Good luck!
I was so excited for this video after you teased it on IG! Luxury packaging is unmatched! It’s the little things like the magnet lids on the WA stick products-along with the brand name on the inside like you showed. I will say, I have the mini in Biscuit and it does not have the magnet lid. I don’t find myself reaching for it as much! Now, devils advocate moment, UOMA has the magnet, does not push other components away AND I t’s a fraction of the price of WA! So, there are certainly exceptions!
Just an fyi for us olive ladies out there with warm undertones not cool or neutral, I’m olive, so peaches and oranges are my best colors :) so Gucci westman blush in Mimi is ideal lol. not great if you’re trying to avoid those
Hi! Great video! I am new to makeup! These produts meet your clean standards in your other videos? I started your "How Clean" series, and just want to make sure I am purchasing "clean" products. TY :)
I HAVE used up the full size Westman Atelier in biscuit! It's pretty much all I use in the cooler and cold months, which is why I used up a full size in 3/4 a year. Gucci is also my favorite packaging- the turquoise compacts and also the gold metal with engraving on the packaging of lipstick and the floral lipstick component. Also, I live for color and color theory, so never apologize for nerding out over it!
I wish I had a Cheat sheet on all the luxury foundations suitable for combo-oily skin without fragrance and niacinamide…so hard to find! I loved chantecaille but then something in it gave me an allergic reaction so no go 🙄
I know it is high end rather than luxury, but Estee Lauder Double Wear has been my go to work horse foundation for years. Oily skin living in the south. I also really like the MUFE HD Longwear but it says it has fragrance in the ingredients. It's faint and didn't bother me, and most do. Not sure if you can get a sample maybe? None of the actual luxury category has worked out for me (unfortunately and fortunately lol)!
The amount of times I say "damn it, this wasn't supposed to be orange"...... ugh. Being as pale as I am with an olive undertone is such a difficult thing. I know, poor me. lolol I get how ridiculous I sound too. :)
Been lusting after Condensate for a while, they're not available where I live though : / I can recommend the Sephora Collection colourful powder blushes in Trust Yourself which is straight up lavender, and Hey Jealousy that's a raspberry pink (tread lightly with this one tho).
Yes yes yes… so many of my HG products in this video. I finally got the Prada Foundation and it is worth every penny and their lipsticks too!!! The Chanel Foundation is really nice but it broke me out. Givency concealer is my HG.
Great video. I have quite a few of your recommendations and now want the Gucci bronzer and VB gloss. I actually love the VB blush stick I have in Fame. Just swipe a small check brush on it and go.
Did you thank your current 'patients" at the end. I hope so, because your chaos does me more good than therapy for my anxiety. Dr Kackie Chaos and the wonderful world of luxury makeup. You are more addicting than chocolate! Love you to the moon. Thanks for the office visit doc.
Ugh I wish luxury brands would stop testing on animals so I can buy more of them 😢😢 I want the Armani silk foundation so bad and the Prada and the ysl candy glazes… but can’t do it. 😫
Oh I'm so there with you on that! 😂 Honestly I think the Westman Atelier foundations look super luxurious -- cruelty free clean beauty brand! Definitely what I'm going to be trying when my current foundation starts running low.
@@crypticmedicine there are lots of options now compared to even 10 years ago, but like… why does it even still happen? There’s zero need for cosmetics anymore. I also like Lisa Eldridge’s foundation and ilia skin tints - haven’t tried their foundation yet. I also want to try the hourglass. But for “designer” brand beauty? Nada available 😭
Sadly, it's probably because they choose to be sold in China, where they still insist on "tested" on animals products unfortunately. We need to find luxury brands that don't want a piece of the huge Chinese market. 😢
Amazing video! Gorgeous look! Would love love love to see comparison swatches for Garconne, specifically against Condensate and the Chanel Fall Mauve, because I have both of those and don’t know that I NEED it.
The sunscreen ingredient in the Prada foundation is Ensulizole. Its been around since 1999 in the US. However, it is not widely used in modern sunscreens as it has very poor UVA coverage. I wish we had new filters but alas...good old FDA 🙄🙃
Thank you so much for the olive+mimi/garcon tips, because i would pick mimi right away thinking garcon was too dark. Is there a more peachy or warm soft tone that you know off that works for fair/light olive skin?
Can confirm regarding Mimi on olive skin tone. It looked like a nice pink beige in the tube, and on my skin it immediately looked more of a muted tan peach. Doesn't look bad, the color just didn't translate as I had hoped.
Great video, Kackie! Love the No. 1 de Chanel foundation. Please consider reviewing the new Lisa Eldridge lip "baume embrace melting lip color" - I'd love to see a comparison to the YSL!
Heads up: in French, “de” and “le” is pronounced kind of like “duh” and “luh”, not “day” or “lay” (that’s Spanish pronunciation of an e). Its a very common error for Americans because Spanish is much more common there than French. :) It’s the same kind of vowel as “put”. Love, your friendly Neighbourhood Canadian :)
I tried a Chanel Baume Essentiel in Perlescent (I think; it may have been Transparent) a year or two ago. It was lovely, but it *wouldn't dry down*. It remained tacky on my skin, which I hated. Sadly, I returned it.
I like that she nailed it, by defining luxury as "A Feeling" I agree and we all know, We get hooked on a feeling 😉 😉 🎶. All kidding aside, she expressed it well. Its makes us feel good for many various reason from being happy that we are fortunate to buy it on a splurge or able to afford it routinely...We appreciate seeing the luxery designer logo & beautiful container on our dressing table or pulling it out of our purse...Using it and having that special moment alone as endulge smelling the rich delicant scent in our arsenal and feel the extra creamy sesation we feel we can only get from this particular product...its so many mo3 feelings we get from luxery products. 🌷
The tip about westman atelier biscuit in the mini is fantastic. I just watched your contrast in complexion video and I'm thinking one of the reasons I've been pulling off hot pink blush is the addition of Phyto Condensate, which I learned about from you and HLP. It is the perfect filling in the mid-tones product! I've also used the cool brown cream blush eros from rituelle de fille, which is a similar effect to biscuit, but has a little bit of bergamot scent which I'm slightly sensitive to...Anyone looking for a drugstore dupe for the Gucci bronzer: check out Physicians Formula Butter bronzer in beachy peach. It's a very desaturated brown leaning rose.
I really want to love VB but I haven’t enjoyed either product I bought from them. I got the eye kajal and 2 lid lusters. Maybe it’s my oily eyelids but it was creasing and fall out city though I prepped my eyelids. I don’t get it 🤷♀️
I have oily eyelids and I work twelve hour shifts. I roll my eyes at waterproof claims. My drugstore and high end don't look decent at the end of a shift unless I apply an eyeshadow base. The drier my eyes feel once the base dries the better. I'm currently working through an UD one but I think I will try viseart eye primer next. I follow @badtothebrow because she talks about oily eyelids. I forgot to apply a base a couple of times with my satin kajals and poof, gone. The LE liquid lurexs are the only eyeshadow that I don't apply a base to .
Great video! I love Westman Atelier too and I recently got the YSL eyeshadows. They are great! I would love to see a video of the new Westman blushes! I bought those too haha 😊
Westman atelier blush was a disappointment its just kinda drying but im interested on that gucci bronzer. I have biscuit from westman atelier and love it
I have the mini Westman Atelier contour stick in biscuit as well as 2 shades in her full size foundation stick and while the contour cream itself in the mini size is lovely, the packaging is super cheep plastic that isn’t magnetized. Mine won’t even stay shut in my makeup bag. The stick has fallen out like twice…. I really wish I had known that before buying and I would have 100% just payed for the full size instead. Now I’m trying to use the mini everyday to get through it so I can justify purchasing a full size replacement. Is this what they call girl math? Anyway, because of this, I get a little triggered when I hear influencers, who probably haven’t tried the minis, recommend them. I just don’t think you guys are aware yet. Anyway, love you channel. :) bring Simon back on! He’s hilarious! Oh!!! And I thought of you again yesterday because I speared the VBB lid luster in chiffon all over my entire eye, mobile to brow bone with my finger, and then again with my finger tapped on a bit of mink lightly just on the outer corner and blew it out with a rephr number something-fluffy and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was freaking stunning. 🤩 Please try it! ❤ thanks for existing!

Been lusting after Condensate for a while, they're not available where I live though : /
I can recommend the Sephora Collection colourful powder blushes in Trust Yourself which is straight up lavender, and Hey Jealousy that's a raspberry pink (tread lightly with this one tho).
Yes yes yes… so many of my HG products in this video. I finally got the Prada Foundation and it is worth every penny and their lipsticks too!!! The Chanel Foundation is really nice but it broke me out. Givency concealer is my HG.
Kackie, I have used two Westman contour sticks up. I'm due for a third
Shape shifter....brilliant! Love your color science/theory take on this. Time stamp: 30:08
For the Gucci bronzer. Wouldn’t Phytosurgence have a similar one? Maybe not the same formula though but color wise?
Yes, I would love to see that Gucci bronzer next to Phyto's Rosy Daybreak!
My goodness, how am I new to your videos?! Love your vibe, you're stunning, and your taste is a little bit of me 😍
Loved seeing a bedroom eyes look, feel like it's been a little while. It's so good!
Great video. I have quite a few of your recommendations and now want the Gucci bronzer and VB gloss. I actually love the VB blush stick I have in Fame. Just swipe a small check brush on it and go.
What about sunscreen? Isnt that part of the routine? What works best with that primer?
Love it 🥰 but where’s your top from? 🫶
Sea NY!
Kackie what is giving your skin that gorgeous glow? Is it the primer? The foundation? Your skin looks unreal!
Thank you! It might be the Chanel baume or just the Mac fix plus finishing spray.
I think it’s the primer. I really like it even on my older skin.
Kackie you look fantastic! Also these are my favorite videos.
Nordstrom has the Armani bronzer on sale for $49.30 right now! I'm buying!
Love your inserts. Thank you. Just started watching you. 😊
What is your shade in the Prada foundation? The closest Sephora that stocks it is 2.5 hrs away
I'm LN5 💙
What brand of natural bristle brushes do you recommend? Would they work better on a product like the rms blushes?
This is a late reply, and you might have figured this out by now, but Kackie sometimes uses Rephr brushes which are natural bristle
I’ve been surveying for a primer forever! You had me at hello on the Victoria Beckham one! Sold!
Would love your opinion on the Tom Ford concealer stick. I don’t think you’ve ever tried it??
This is all so great. Like such good insights on phyto being a source of EXCELLENT in between shades! (Adding this to my mind palace thank you!)
This eye look is AMAZING on you!
I want a Juicy Cotour velvet track suit that says "Making Luxury Chaotic Again."
Dear god future merch ideas
second!
Third!
Oh no, I just picked up the mini Westman Atelier blushes and Mimi is included but I have sort of an olive undertone… it's gonna look orange :( !!!
Would you recommend Dior highlighter palette?
Your blouse is beautiful. Where did you get it from?
Yes, I want to know too 🤩
I've wondered about Victoria Beckham brand thanks for the honest review, I also love pairing golds with peaches. Thank you for a great video.
Lisa Eldridge balm vs candy glaze please. 😅
You entertained me and taught me plenty. Just found you today and am subscribed. ❤
God i love how you talk about makeup. you make me want me to buy it all

I just bought Dior concealor now your convincing me to to givenchy lol thoughts?
This is such a helpful video, thank you! I'm definitely going to try the Gucci bronzer.
but is the prada foundation heavy? Also - are there any clean eco luxury brands you recommend? I don´t like the idea of putting toxins on my skin
Cheery red blush is MY best color❤
Great video! I love Westman Atelier too and I recently got the YSL eyeshadows. They are great! I would love to see a video of the new Westman blushes! I bought those too haha 😊
Love your Shirt, I will look into buying the Beckham Brands, Thank you for Sharing your knowledge 🙏🌸
Westman atelier blush was a disappointment its just kinda drying but im interested on that gucci bronzer. I have biscuit from westman atelier and love it
dupe for Chanel "BOY" plz? love the video and you look amazing!
I have the Chanel balm in mermaid but have considered the Westman Atelier lit up stick in biscuit. Which formula do you prefer?
Vaaaaluable thank you!!!
Does Chanel have a strong fragrance? Does Prada have a strong fragrance?
Thanks for the video. Just started but omg your top looks so so pretty. May I ask where it’s from? TY
It's from Sea NY!
@@kackieThanks so much for answering.
