@@nickdejager8873 of course anyone can play this game it's not restricted in any way, What I meant was that the game is targeted at the demographic of children.

If the step is occupied or the character already used, then it's free choice in that category. When removing characters, roll 1 d8 to determine which step to clear; if it's already clear, you get a free choice. Nightmare Mode: Any Free Choices in the above rules become Opponent's Choice.
Breathless Mode. 2d8 where the first d8 determines the character as above, and the second d8 shows how many platforms any characters on platform have to move to different platforms during your turn. In Nightmare Breathless mode, your opponent must call the character you must move before you take your hand off the character you've just placed or it's your free choice. At first I thought this was going to be some sort of Mario-themed Jenga. Then I realised it was quite different. Then I realised it was Mario-themed Jenga. Either way, a good concept, looks fun! I think Ellen's mistake with the first Yoshi was putting him on the opposite side to the tower's lean, meaning more movement; you both figured out quickly that you want to put the pieces on the lower side after that!
New rule: The ball must not fall for 3 seconds after you place your piece. If it falls after that it is now the next players turn and it counts as them having lost.
The reaction at 15:35, especially Ellen's, was just indescribably delightful. I think I'll have to find this game to share the stress among my loved ones. Hilarious!
I love these filler episodes, I really like them talking about games but their chemistry is so good watching them just mess about it extremely entertaining
can't help but wonder, if this just more proof this is daycare for grown ups with Producer Jon looking after the children interesting to see the difference between normal and hard mode in this game
One bit of strategy might be to try and place your piece as much off the platform as you can manage it, so that if it falls off when the tower tips on your opponent's turn it may destabilize the tower. And if not, they still have to put it back as well. Could be particularly effective if there's a good opportunity to do that with Yoshi on an upper platform.
I like how Luke just lets go of the pieces and lets fate take the wheel while Elen is much more invested in winning so she holds onto the piece as long as possible.
I love in the toy videos, how Luke is always at kid-at-Christmas levels of excitement and Ellen plays the my-younger-brother-has-no-one-else-to-play-with role
We did a game called blindfold Jenga at a works Christmas party last year and it’s people playing jenga in teams, but the person moving the jenga pieces is blindfolded and the other player directs them. It might be too wild for shaky tower though!
The intensity and competitive behavior makes me laugh every time. Also, loving the hair, Ellen! I just talked to my stylist about purple because you’ve made me miss my purple phase from college. ❤
I would love to see Andy, Jane and Mike playing this game as well. I can already foresee Andy roasting the characters and Mike just causing an entire mayhem to the tower.
@@totz_the_plaid9625 You think so? I'm starting the timer as soon as they roll; they have to choose and pick up a piece, place it, and release. Just the notion of a timer would also make them fumble, I bet. But ten was just a guess. Maybe it could start at 15 and get one second less each time. If they don't place the piece in time, they have to have another turn.
Homebrew rule: assign point values to characters, the heavier ones being worth more points. Putting or removing that character gives you those points. The one with most points when the ball drops wins. It adds a layer of strategy. Maybe assign a negative point value to causing the ball to drop to discourage intentional game ends. Or maybe not. Proper balancing is required. ;)
Where can I get this? This strikes me as a FANTASTIC drinking game. Also, it's amazing that they're such good friends that Ellen immediately knew what he was going to suggest for "nightmare mode".
There's already Fate, in which the dice are marked minus, blank and plus. The D20 in D&D is effectively a distribution like that as well, just with four parts to it and a shifting middle: critical failure, failure, success, critical success. You could get custom d20 that go 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8 if you wanted, and use them for something. You could also modify D&D with "Good" and "Bad" dice, where the 2 becomes another 20 or the 19 becomes another 1.
2:13 *Luke:* You've done it exactly right, Ellen. Which means you get to do all the rest! Lucky you. Luke displaying big "Uncle roped unwillingly into playing children's board game with his niece" energy there.

I was gonna put the same-ish comment!!!! 😅😅😅
The look of joy and terror on their faces when Luke rock the tower is priceless
At least 10% of the subscribers are here only for Ellen's giggle. She is so sweet.
Even if it makes me wrong to say Ellen is a sweetheart

"Don't laugh, you're vibrating the world!" Luke Westaway - 2023.
It's been years but that intro never ceases to make me smile. I'm still so glad they kept it.
Who needs a coronation when Ellen snd Luke are being big kids?
Luke and Ellen, King and Queen of the realm and all they survey? As an Australian, I could go for that!
They are rightwise rulers of the weekend. Trust a Brit to come along and try to take over.
They were a much better watch 😃 from what i had to watch due to being with a royalist that day
The only RUclipsrs who don't need to pose for these kind of thumbnails- it's all natural, baby!
I love that these have basically become Saturday morning variety shows, takes me back to watching Sat morning cartoons as a kid.
The absolute joy these two have playing games, not just with each other but the whole cast / crew is what the world needs more of.
I cannot wait for the Monopoly livestream. Pick a themed one for extra fun.
I love this duo’s energy so much
Very brother/sister goofiness.
Luke taking both of the figurines at the same time was impressive, I guess you could call him cool hand Luke.
Indiana Luke with the sizing up and timing.
The tower didn't even sway. It was masterfully done.
Booo!
Very good.
The synchronised yelling at 15:35 😂 totally reminded me of how me and my brother would get super into board games as kids!

Ellen, your hair looks so good!! 💜💜💜
Nice & professional. Not like when someone dumps a bottle of dye on their head & expects it to look good. It never does.
You could use this instead of a jenga tower to play dread, The silliness might slightly ruin the atmosphere of course.

A bit late to the party on this one. But I absolutely love how Ellen said: "I mean I think it's allowed, but is it sensible?"
