    Very powerful and unique arrangement and for the benefit and convenience of you and others who view this, "O Canada" was officially declared Canada's national anthem on July 1, 1980 and I have the lyrics thereof.
    they are below if you want to look them over while listening or sing along.
    O Canada, our home and native land!
    True patriot love in all thy sons command!
    With glowing hearts, we see thee rise, the true north strong and free!
    From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
    God keep our land
    glorious and free.
    O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
    O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
    👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

    @kanatasur2 You know what? I often hear people sing this blessed anthem off-tune and off-beat, and I haven't heard a single band that plays it the way I'd like it to sound.
    But it's the ANTHEM of CANADA...and nobody should give s s**t what it sounds like! It's still the most beautiful, inspiring and patriotic piece of music in the world.
    Peace.

    kanatasur2's "review" is totally inappropriate. The IOC requires that the host country record ALL the national anthems of ALL its member countries each time there's an Olympics. That means recording over 95 anthems in 3 days! They are not meant to be musical masterpieces recorded in state of the art facilities, but appropriate renditions recorded in appropriate circumstances for gold-medal presentations. Every Canadian was very proud to hear THIS O Canada EVERY time a Canadian gold medal was presented in 2010. 'Nuf said.

    Edmonton symphony orchestras rendition is better!!!

  • @kanatasur2
    @kanatasur2 14 лет назад

    I sincerely hope Vanoc does NOT use this rendition. Great beginning but seconds 10, 11 lose momentum which the entrance builds. Why minor chords like the ones in seconds 18, 19 and 20? They add nothing to the piece. And its completely boring from seconds 23 to 39. Its too hymn like. The brass instruments are often too loud and flat footed in the work. The anthem should be both triumphant and elegant, evoking power and grandeur. But this is all brashness. It utterly lacks class and finesse.
