Yup. Been there, done that. Totally forgot the coax. I love using the OCFD when activating from the car. I'll have it about 20-25' up the mast on a drive-on mount under one of the front tires and then just 25' of coax straight down to the car.
Did you use a tuner? What was the SWR like without one? We saw how you raised the feed point, but what did you do with the ends? I assume off center inverted V with the off center feed point at the apex, but how high were the ends and/or what V angle?
I didn't as I wanted to make the antenna resonant as possible. Both ends were tied off to adjacent trees at about 15 feet. The angle was minimal. But I will be taking this antenna out in the field more and should have more updates coming in the future.
Yup.. definitely were. I did watch him when I was younger. Thanks! Its like he used to say.. If they don't find you handsome, make sure they know your handy.
The link lengths are as follows. Link1 15feet. 2 16 ft 3 9.10and link 4. Is 9.1feet. The build is so professionally made. Can you work it out total length 49.11feet per leg thanks. Mark. Uk

Thanks! I got lucky as my operating position I just had enough to reach the radio. Always adding to the go kit!

Bands were terrible. You ever watch Red Green? Your commentary reminds me of the segments he used to do with sped up video and funny commentary
