This is a great video, and I appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Very interesting results, especially when raising the bugout up a couple of feet. Amazing, I learned something new and I thank you for that! On another note, there's a jerk in every corner it seems these days, but don't let those jerks bring you down in the comment section. I'm a new sub, thanks again!
Yes I usually have a windscreen on all my mics, however this is where I didn't know audio from the wireless mic wasn't making it into the go-pro. So the wind you hear is my Go-pro mic (which is normally disabled) sorry I couldn't clean it up. Hope you still enjoyed the video.

Yup, there's always that one jerk, but hey, they keep things interesting, right? Glad to have you as a new sub, welcome aboard!
Thanks for this comparison. I just ordered the bug out so that little tip about the height of the feed point will be a good thing to experiment with!
Sweet! You're gonna love the bug out. That height tip is a game changer-can't wait to hear how it works out for you!

Nice job. An antenna switch is on my list of things to pick up at Hamvention so I can do some tests like this.
Thanks for the comment! Antenna switches are definitely a must-have for experimenting with different setups.
Thanks for the shoutout! Antenna switches are a must-have for testing, can't wait to see what you discover at Hamvention!
Someone needs to buy this guy a windscreen for his microphone.
