I have loved India Arie since I heard the Acoustic Soul album. The first song I ever sang infront of others, as an adult was I Am Ready For Love. I sang it in class at my college. At the time I sang it I was in a really abusive relationship. This song helped me remember what I deserved. I deserved love. Abuse isn't love. I ended up leaving him shortly after that with our 1.5 yr old child. I never went back. Thank you India!
