Excellent tag video. I remember when there were many tag videos all across booktube. They were my favourite thing about booktube, but you don't see them around much anymore.

It feels like we answered all the questions, doesn't it? I've been seeing more again lately in the people I follow.

I started watching BookTube during the pandemic, and I could see that you had a large backlog of videos, but 13 years is a long time! Thanks for sharing a bit of your history here. (Also, that shirt looks amazing on you!) I agree that BookTube is a great place to get book recommendations. I have a list of "someday" books, and it just grows and grows. I chuckled when you said sometimes you read books in genres you aren't particularly drawn to because you forget why the book was recommended. That happens to me too. I hope things are going well in your life. Looking forward to the next video!

Thank you for this great comment! I'm somehow glad to hear you also forget why you put book books on your list. I think it is such a great way of reading outside of your normal reads. Have a wonderful day!

I've followed you for most of your time on book tube, sometimes more actively than others (more related to my watching of RUclips, than your channel specifically though) Your channel is one of the first book tubes I found (I think it was a tag video on beautiful covers) so you're channel is very much part of me reminding my love for books.
It's been a while since I read a Gail Carrier book, should probably chance that. I've had the finishing school series on my reader for a while now..

You are one of the more consistent presences on my channel and I love having met you through booktube. I keep putting of Carriger's new SF series, even though I really liked the first in the trilogy. Sometimes we are just like that with authors we enjoy :D

Such a cool tag video! Your BookTube channel is one of my favorites and I’m always interested in your recommendations.
I always have to script my videos or take notes beforehand, otherwise I’m a deer in the headlights and filming takes forever. 😅 I do wish I could just turn the camera on and begin.

aw, thank you Lindsay! I would love to be able to do both. There are videos on my wish list to do that would be so much better if I actually scripted and planned them. Like video essays. So I admire the organized scripted videos you make :)

I started watching RUclips in 2015. I made videos for several years but then it started feeling like a lot of work for little reward so I quit in like 2022. But I still love watching Booktube. It and reading are my two hobbies. I pay for RUclips premium and even with the recent price increase I think it worth it because I don’t have Netflix or anything like that.

I keep wondering about Premium, but I mostly don't mind the ads so much. It annoys me that they show ads on channels (like mine) that are not viable for monetization anymore. I would get premium when they money you pay would go to the channels you watch, but as far as I know that's not happening. Nothing about this is perfect, so glad though that you are still watching and enjoying booktube, even after you stopped making videos.
