Such a painful song. I think NF is incredible and I had started going on the NF Journey, but this song hit my heart so hard that I had to stop for a moment. This song is different, This song helped me through some shit. I buried my mom like NF due to personal addiction she had. And he has the same question that even I had... Why? Why would you do something knowing we won't ever be able to let our kids meet you. A mom that is needed to be there when we need them. It's a song that hits home.

During the shooting of this video Nate had to take a break and told everyone to go except his friend so he could finish. He’s growing in his life and has forgiven his Mom. He’s an artist at its purist form. His ability to tell his life story through music and his videos are like movies they tell the story too. I’ve got some NF lyrics on my forearm that are personal to me.
The song is incredible and real, when he was doing his talking while crying he made everyone leave the studio so he wouldnt show it in front of them and ended up breaking down while talking to her, Shit hits hard.
I remember the first I watched this video, I binge watched it like 8 times and cried every single time 😅. Powerful music here.

This song gets me every time. My mom was an alcoholic and smoked w**d. Mostly because of my step-dad. Me and my younger siblings went into foster care. She supposedly got clean and sober but never tried to find us. I had to find out thru our social worker that she died from cirrhosis of the liver because of the alcohol abuse. I miss her.
Yeah.... you get to simply go "bruuuh" but for me and MANY others.... sadly this is the reality of our entire childhood...... :(

Well i have put up with ALOT from her because i thought i deserved it.... I also thought Raelee healed us more but she really hates me.... I will never forgive myself for missing just about every pivotal moment

I listen to this every once in awhile because my mom was the same. She was exactly the same except she trusted the wring guy and he killed her in cold blood. "One shot Dome check, I sleep like a baby" Thats what he says. Now this is all I have left. Our last talk was on the lines of a heated argument about her drug use. I never am going to get closure. Remember that your actions have consequences and affect others.
The thoughts in this song and post run through my brain daily and I don't get to forgive and forget.

this song kills me.. my "donor" left when i was 1 and my mom left when i was 2. i was raised by my grandparents( mom's parents ). its a hard song to hear.
