A little more research and I discovered that, yes, you COULD just leave it banging around in the case. However, if you want to, Focus Attack does sell little plastic feet with glue to hold the PCB.
Ah, I see. I looked up PCB kits and Focus Attack also sells ones where the PCB's have holes in the corners. I was actually thinking about getting a Mayflash F300 and putting in that whole setup in there when the original parts poop out on me, basically screwing in the new one where the old one was as long as it fits, that is.
it actually bothers me that the directional harness HAS to be towards the buttons, I wire up all my sticks to the the jlf harness goes away from the buttons towards the outside of the case I personally just think it looks nicer but i guess if I have to bite the bullet and do it that way I will
Hey! Do you build custom controllers for sale? I'd love to buy a ps4 controller but wider so my hands can be at my side but can't find anything about it on the internet. I'm not too knowledgeable on electronics

I mapped the 2 buttons at the upper right says pad1.[A] the other is pad1.[B]. And all the rest of the buttons are the same including the 2 small buttons they all function as pad1.00?. Please help me
Awesome tutorial. Im using this same kit for a completely gutted TE1 case. Question. Any tips on where I could possibly screw down this PCB in that type of case? I don't have the screws available for that were included with the old PCB for the TE1.
+George Mooey I have not worked in that case but If the screwholes for the original pcb line up you might be to use that. Or you could try something like this www.focusattack.com/hardware-pcb/hardware-accessories/hardware-mounting/ And if all else fails... HOT GLUE!
+Fundando (Fundando) thanks! I don't have access to any of those tools yet, so for now, I think i'll ghetto mount it with some ties :P Also, question. Where'd you buy that case?
+Fundando (Fundando) hey, im having more trouble with this board. So I wired up all the buttons, but my 3k, 4k, and 4p buttons are not acting responsively. Got mine in the mail today, wired it up, and nothing recognizes it. Cant update the firmware, because I cant get the driver program to recognize that I plugged the stick in. I have the home and share wired up to start and select on my madcatz stick so that I can have them both pressed when I plug it in. Seems weird that it's home and share, and not options and share. Are there any extra windows drivers I'm missing? I just get an unrecognized usb device error.
Probably a dumb question but Can I use these fightsticks as a Dpad for FPS with a mouse too I have no finger function due to an accident and am looking for a way to move around and push buttons with my palms. Wondering if the PC will not recognize the controller for some dumb reason before I buy one
Most games will not automatically detect a dpad for movement. However, as long as you're playing on PC, you could get a keyboard pcb and solder buttons to it. I'd recommend looking for a busted mechanical keyboard, as it's much simpler to solder to than a rubber membrane. Then you'd just tuck it in a box, and you could hook it up as a regular keyboard.
I have a problem with my Crown 307 joystick with this board. Every other button works except my joystick only inputs "UP" (while pulling down, it is so weird)
Vincent Brian Bernardo check the 5 pin at the joystick.. it is most likely installed backwards. at the board it is keyed to go one way only, at the joy it is not. flip it and you'll be good to go
As a person whose country has a 54% import tax on videogame controllers but about 15% on electronic components, would it be cheaper to assemble my own stick and which pieces do I have to build myself?
+Kyle Nix Nope. You can just leave that disconnected and the signal will just pass through. Just make sure it is not touching any connection you are not supposed to with it. It is best to tie it back with something like a zip tie.
could you make controller like that with 2 joysticks and a Dpad? I have one but I have to use the Titan1 adapter to use the controller on ps4 and it's a pain.
Is it possible to make one but have 4 buttons instead if a joystick. Is the re a board for that or a way to alter or modify the joystick board? I would love that since I can use d-pad or joystick very well. Thank's of you can answer.
Can i use this to convert my old Madcatz Fightstick pro to a PS4 controller? I figured if i just replaced the PCB it would work, but i'm not really sure if the USB connector fits that PCB.
hey, so what can I do if my my buttons are activating without pressing them? I dont have the 3xp and 3xk buttons hooked up to any button on my stick with this PCB, but they'll activate whenever i move around sometimes. Is it possible to just cut the wires off to solve my issue?
Will this PCB work with Nintendo Switch as well? I'm thinking of making a custom stick for Street Fighter 30th anniversary, which I got for the Switch.

I followed your video and all the buttons worked beautifully! However, my sanwa stick is not functioning properly. At first, I plugged it in upside down so the controls were flipped. So I plugged it with the red markings down and now the controls are still flipped except all of the directions don't work except down (which is up). Any help? Thanks in advance.
Can anyone show me where to get a case like this? I'm just looking for a simple wood enclosure with a 8-button layout and the ability to add my own artwork. Forhammer is overkill and he never gets back to me with my questions. Any advice?
has anyone tried converting an old stick like an eightarc with this new ps4 module? I know it must work, but I'm not sure how elegant or convenient it would be to just rip out the old PCB and somehow mount this one. thanks
Use the additional wiring wiring harness with the .187" quick disconnects and crimp .110" quick disconnects on all the ends. www.focusattack.com/110-2-8mm-open-barrel-non-insulated-quick-disconnect-terminal/

How much size of the case and do you have template?
The only thing I'm wondering is how to mount the PCB to the case. How do you do that? Or are you just letting it bang around loose in the case?

where can i get the wood board, stick and buttons from?
but can you put RGB light in it ?
Yes, but I would go a different route for LED lighting. Using this board is easy to install but not meant to add on.
can i use this to play tekken 7?

There is no analog support on any of these boards. Anything is possible with some fabrication and rewiring a controller
this is going to sound silly, but can you still use a converter to play on a xbox one since I don't have a ps4?
yeah, but I would use the brook universal fighting board for xbox one instead. This will be compatible with pc, ps4, xbox one and xbox 360
can you cut the extra wires
I wanted to build myself a cheap fight stick, I'm 3d printing the enclosure and I wanted to use the crown joystick For tekken (I'm okay with using sanwa too honestly) but is it possible to use the crown joystick with this kit?
Yes it has an alternate harness for crown.
It's weird that most of these layouts have the joystick so high.
Positions the hands higher to let the wrist rest in a more comfortable position.
No need to install any firmware? Also, any suggestions for installing the PCB onto a plastic case?
When using with PS4 you want to make sure you have the latest firmware installed on the pcb. Hot glue :)
