    it actually bothers me that the directional harness HAS to be towards the buttons, I wire up all my sticks to the the jlf harness goes away from the buttons towards the outside of the case I personally just think it looks nicer but i guess if I have to bite the bullet and do it that way I will

    The only thing I'm wondering is how to mount the PCB to the case. How do you do that? Or are you just letting it bang around loose in the case?

    • @john-lukepickarde7382
      @john-lukepickarde7382 7 лет назад +2

      I was wondering the exact same thing.

    • @QuintMarvel
      @QuintMarvel 7 лет назад +5

      A little more research and I discovered that, yes, you COULD just leave it banging around in the case. However, if you want to, Focus Attack does sell little plastic feet with glue to hold the PCB.

    • @john-lukepickarde7382
      @john-lukepickarde7382 7 лет назад +2

      Ah, I see. I looked up PCB kits and Focus Attack also sells ones where the PCB's have holes in the corners. I was actually thinking about getting a Mayflash F300 and putting in that whole setup in there when the original parts poop out on me, basically screwing in the new one where the old one was as long as it fits, that is.

    • @heyyitsultima
      @heyyitsultima 7 лет назад +1

      I know you already found a solution but you could also glue plastic standoffs into the case and screw it to that.

    Probably a dumb question but Can I use these fightsticks as a Dpad for FPS with a mouse too I have no finger function due to an accident and am looking for a way to move around and push buttons with my palms. Wondering if the PC will not recognize the controller for some dumb reason before I buy one

    • @Fundando
      @Fundando  7 лет назад

      since there is no analog control, even if you could map it, it would be less than ideal.

    • @subterficial
      @subterficial 7 лет назад

      Most games will not automatically detect a dpad for movement. However, as long as you're playing on PC, you could get a keyboard pcb and solder buttons to it. I'd recommend looking for a busted mechanical keyboard, as it's much simpler to solder to than a rubber membrane. Then you'd just tuck it in a box, and you could hook it up as a regular keyboard.

    Awesome tutorial. Im using this same kit for a completely gutted TE1 case. Question. Any tips on where I could possibly screw down this PCB in that type of case? I don't have the screws available for that were included with the old PCB for the TE1.

      +George Mooey I have not worked in that case but If the screwholes for the original pcb line up you might be to use that.
      Or you could try something like this

Testing it on PC and the button diagrams on the controller settings aren't properly showing up for 3k and 4k, and 4p has a really badly unresponsive button. Can you help me out? Got mine in the mail today, wired it up, and nothing recognizes it. Cant update the firmware, because I cant get the driver program to recognize that I plugged the stick in. I have the home and share wired up to start and select on my madcatz stick so that I can have them both pressed when I plug it in. Seems weird that it's home and share, and not options and share. Are there any extra windows drivers I'm missing? I just get an unrecognized usb device error.

      cyclic730 Those legacy connectors? You should gather the courage to not add one and buy airpods and dongles. There's simply no room for a headphone jack. 😁

    Anyone know where I can buy wooden case and a top with the standard capcom 6 grid?

      There's a couple stores online that sell simple kit boxes if you do some google research, but really you can do it all yourself with some basic power tools.

      There is no analog support on any of these boards. Anything is possible with some fabrication and rewiring a controller

    Since it is wood, what do you use to prevent it from mold to occur?

    • @Fundando
      @Fundando  8 лет назад

      I do not use anything. I have a wooden stick that I have used for over 8 years and I have never had mold build up. Then again, I live in Las Vegas. It is dry down here.

    this is going to sound silly,but can you still use a converter to play on a xbox one since I don't have a ps4?

    • @Fundando
      @Fundando  7 лет назад +1

      yeah, but I would use the brook universal fighting board for xbox one instead. This will be compatible with pc, ps4, xbox one and xbox 360

    I wanted to build myself a cheap fight stick, I'm 3d printing the enclosure and I wanted to use the crown joystick For tekken (I'm okay with using sanwa too honestly) but is it possible to use the crown joystick with this kit?

    • @Fundando
      @Fundando  7 лет назад

      Yes it has an alternate harness for crown.

      Yes, but I would go a different route for LED lighting. Using this board is easy to install but not meant to add on.

      utiliza la Brook PS3/PS4 Fight Board solo que en focusattack al parecer ya no venden toda la pcb completa, ahora solo vende una pequeña pcb y tu tienes que soldar los cables aunque no es tan dificil (y si, es para ps3 y ps4)

    How would I approach using this kit for making a Hitbox? I really want to buy this but I see its 5 pin for joysticks

    • @Fundando
      @Fundando  8 лет назад

      Use the additional wiring wiring harness with the .187" quick disconnects and crimp .110" quick disconnects on all the ends.

      Sounds great! Is that the only thing that comes to mind of what I would need? I have a setup already but I just want to switch out pcbs for this one. Also, does this handle SOCD well? Reason Im switching is my current pcb inputs up-left if I hit 3 cardinal directions at once hahah

      The brook pcb has socd cleaner support built in. THat should be all you need.

      I don't print these myself. I have a commercial printer where I work and just give it to the team here to print off for me.
