Thanks for uploading these episodes of Corrie. The older ones are much better than the tripe churned out today. Corrie taught me that the main achievement in life for residents was to get married and have a 2 up 2 down house and go to the pub umpteen times a week and be a nosy neighbour poking their nose into others' business. I wouldn't want to live there but I'm enjoying their drama!
I just came in here to say that. Bet wormed her way into that trip and stated she was gone get rid of Mavis in the very beginning. Neither of them wanted to do what Mavis suggested, made fun of her and bang. She had the most amazing time, loved it!!!
@professionalgun6674 You are an absolute angel for kindly taking the time to upload all these. He was essentially good hearted, so it's a shame the writers changed his character in later episodes. He had become cold and hard. He'd been through a lot, but earlier Mike wasn't cold.
Gail is so unbearable - mocking that she "lives in a council house" when chatting to Deirdre. At least, in Corrieland, you can be on the list just 4 weeks before moving in, rather than 5 years in the outside world!
I've been binge-watching these marvellous Corrie years from 1978 and loving them (thanks PG66). But I have to admit I'm finding the Claytons/Terry Duckworth storyline a bit tedious. Shame.
I agree. When I was a kid of about 11, I was glad that I wasn't American... after watching Grease, I thought that you had to be about 30 to leave school 😂😂😂
I think they were probably playing it safe - some of those scenes between her and Terry might have raised a few eyebrows had the part being played by an actual school aged girl.
That all depended on your age, location, social standing, ethnicity, orientation, etc... For me it was way less complicated. I was a white boy going to primary school.
