If you pop back to series one, to the beginning of the episode "Dalek", you'll find The Doctor looking at an old-skool Cyberman head in Van Statten's museum...
You call that old-school, i call old-school the fabric head with roundel eyes and the large lamp on the head and the fusebox on the chest (first version of cyberman, the "love, pride, hate, fear, have you no emotions, sir?" Ones)
One of the best mid season two parters! The Cybermen are a classic villain that showed up a lot in the classic series! This is the first time they were introduced in the new series and they would become a staple once again! Fantastic episodes!
Also one of the space suits used in the cybermen’s very first story the tenth planet would go on to become the suit that the character bossk would wear in Star Wars
As long as they have the basic industry to build the bodies, they can rapidly multiply. Daleks are only limited to their numbers, but Cybermen can recruit everyone.
Nah imo this design of the Cybermen is freaking terrifying and looks incredible. Maybe that's because I was only 6 when this episode aired but they scared the hell out of me and are by far my favourite Cybermen.
A lot of this episode is laying groundwork for the future. We just didn't know it yet. (I don't think that's spoilers -- vague enough and after all, everything is just laying groundwork for the future.) And, yes, Mickey is coming into his own.
For me, I prefer the original Cybermen. I know you haven't seen the full conversion process, but having your brain scooped out and put into a robot, to me, is less terrifying than having your actual body and brain modified, "upgraded", and encased in a silver suit (you know, just to keep all of your bits together). Later NuWho Cybers however get back to this... Think Pink.
Yeah I think it's because the OG Cybermen became what they are through circumstances of their planet and their lives. These ones are forced into it and are from a parallel world, so they became them in a different way.

@theeditor8376 Yeah, but I didn't want to be too specific, confuse the poor guy. ;)
The one in Dalek's a 1975 one, isn't it?

In the first season episode Boomtown the doctor called Mickey, Rickey.
The classic Who Cybermen were actually the inspiration for the borg in Star Trek.

"Your helmet kinda looks like a panini maker..you got a panini helmet, I want a panini" never change Travis lmaooo
The Cybermen might not look scary but their a terrifying threat
Just assume that about all of Doctor Who. If you can't handle Daleks or Cybermen, you won't be able to handle Kandyman, the Adipose, or the Emojibots.

The whole concept of the cybermen is terrifying to me
And they keep coming back (old series)
Oh god this episode was my childhood favourite! I used to have a voice changing cyberman mask/helmet and would never put it down 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lol, we certainly saw more of Micky's meat ;)
Add Bluetooth headsets to things to fear
