    • @mowtime

      Yes, it does the same as the super clean. I just keep WD in the shed at home and keep the Superclean with me in the Ute to use on site.

    Great vid mate. Well explained and illustrated. Easy to follow. Just one question, heard a bit about having to spray some garden friendly cleaner after the hedging is done to prevent the plants from getting an infection from the blades. Would that cleaner you showed do that ? Cheers

    • @mowtime
      @mowtime  Год назад +4

      Thanks mate.
      No, that cleaner won't disinfect.
      It's a good idea to disinfect them if you are trimming/pruning plants with a disease on a regular occurrence to prevent transferring it.
      Something like Isocol will do this. Just spray on, leave it a bit than wipe off.
      Hope that was of some help.
      Have a great day mate.

    How often should you be greasing the gearbox? I've just bought the Milwaukee quik lok hedge trimmer, doesn't say anything in the manual about greasing.

    • @mowtime
      @mowtime  7 месяцев назад

      Hi
      Depending on the frequency of use. If used regularly, I would be greasing every 1-2months.
      Thanks

      Ye, super important in maintaining longevity, and keeping your blades running smooth.
      I run my speed on 10-15 normally.

    ...chuckling.... yeah, spray superclean on ur hedger blades after use like u do, huh. (wink-wink) It"s a cultivated habit. U'll get there, & when u do, u won't have to do all that cleaning. Good video. Thx.

    Great video. How many times do you think you can sharpen the blade until you can't no more and it's time to purchase a new trimmer blade set?

    • @mowtime
      @mowtime  Год назад +1

      Hi Emanuele
      Thanks very much.
      You should be filing off only a very small amount. I’ve never filed down to a point where I have to change the blades personally. I wouldn’t go to far as you might end up changing the horizontal blade angle.
      Check with your local shop after a few sharpens.
      Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
      Have a great day
      🙂👍🏻

    Is the wd40 specialist lawn & garden cleaner only available in your part of the world. I am in the US, midwest ,Illinois. I don't find it on amazon or any of my hardware stores apps. Thanks

    • @mowtime
      @mowtime  Год назад

      Hi Robert
      Apologies for the delayed response. I am not sure sorry. I thought WD 40 products were sold worldwide. Maybe the garden care products are specific to Australia. Maybe reach out to who owns WD40 product and see if they can give you some better answers than I can provide sorry. There are always plenty of other alternatives lubricants though to cleaning and maintaining your tools. Let me know what you find out. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.
