I enjoyed seeing some of Romania through your eyes Lali, it's great that you are able to go back and see family and friends... Thanks for taking us along.
What impresses me is your absolute joy and pride in sharing your culture with the rest of the world. It's what made you the person you are today and continues to shape you. A wonderful video. Hi from Oz.
That was fun, thanks for you kindness, showing your nice family, your memories (your father's F1 notes were awesome) and the beautiful city of Kolozsvár. Látom picit beszélsz magyarul is ahogy a nagyi is :) Cheers from Hungary!
Now I know from where's your beauty comes. First video I see about bikes and wonder then. Keep it up and never forget your heritage. From Macedonian in USA.
Amazing how strong memories can be of your childhood with the schools you went to, the friends you had then, even the paths you used to walk. When you grow up and come back to visit it's never the same. But always cherish the time you can spend with grandparents while they're still around. Also @3:38, are those glasses your superhero disguise?
Beautiful and thanks for sharing parts of your home and family wedding. I toured in Europe July 2022 and got as far as Slovenia. The Transfagarason (SP) Pass in Romania is on my bucket list so hopefully in the near future I can make it. Thanks again for bringing us along.
I really like thi vlog format. Romania seam to be a nice country...Maybe I'll move there when I retire. Big thanks Lali for letting me see you hometown!!
I was in Romania for like 30 days. We stayed at the military Base in Mihail Kogălniceanu and hangout at Constanta City Park mall. Best pizza at the pizza hut. I got my first tattoo in Romania. We did a trip to Dracula castle and to Bran castle.
Hahaha. we went to the same kindergarden. Looks like it's in a worst shape than the last time I visited it. To this day I remember the torture that was sleeping time in those folded beds. Nice to see my hometown again.
Fantastic. I really like the transition from riding around South Central PA to Romania. It's a beautiful country and I appreciate you sharing your history. The school scene was a bit sad but it's a reminder that all things change with time. Enjoy your trip Lali!!
I lived for a couple of years in Timisoara in the 90's, been back every few years, most recently last month - weather was still great. Among the desserts you showed, I didn't see my favorite Romanian dish: papanași. Just to most wonderful concoction! 🙂
@@AntiParallali I’ll definitely keep that in mind! How bad is it with me being an almost purely English speaking person for there? I have heard a lot of Europe speaks English as a second language
@@AntiParallali No need to thank me. You did all the work! Did you ever watch the video? The piece I made for your channel came out pretty funny I thought. 🙂
Romania is a beautiful country with a lot of gorgeous places! I love to explore it and I always have some fun when the tarmac road just disappears and you need to ride off-road to get to civilization again 😂 I thought I will run into you just to greet you when you were here but I didn't want to bother you 😀
Hey there, a fellow neighbour from Bulgaria here! Currently living in Germany, so I have driven through Romania when visiting my parents back home. A beautiful country, but it's soooo damn huge, haha. Super cool videos. Maybe I missed that somewhere or maybe you've never told the story, but when did you leave your home country and why? If I may ask, of course(just a fellow emigrant rider being curious xD) Cheers and keep up the good work!!
Love the culture :) , thanks for sharing @lali , also your grandmother is 100% right :) , can we see more of the traditional foods ? What’s your fav ? Are they hard to make ?
A lot of traditional Romanian cuisine takes a while to make of you start from scratch. Try my favorite desert "cremeș" it's like a vanilla pudding on a flaky pastry sheet with whipped cream. 11/10 would recommend. Same with that fried dough with cheese I showed in the video, "langoș"
Your so much like my daughter Anna.. Her Kindergarten School is also gone but like you she has moved onto a PhD.. She's is in Astrophysics. 😊😊 Proud Dad bragging aloud.
My family migrated from Bokavina to Canada in the early 1900s (Austrian at that time, Hungarian speaking). Great Story, looking forward to the continuation. My, what long nails you have! LOL😊, looks like a great wedding with yummy-looking food. I grew up with a lot of that kind of food. I still can make fantastic cabbage rolls. Yes, you and your dad have great legs!
I don't know? It was spelled like that when I checked on google. I have also seen it spelled Bokawina. I would go with the one that sounds the tastiest. LOL The one I'm thinking of is right below Transilvania.
As excellent as the first, I bet you have memories on every street. I moved when I was the same age and I miss my old home still after many years. Do you think you would ever return? .....spicy action next 🏍️🏍️🏍️🌶️
Lots of friendly, wholesome, fun-loving people. The only thing that reminded me of the US is the abandoned school with graffiti all over it. 😁 Seems like a pleasant place to grow up in. Even the wedding was beautiful without being extravagant, didn't look like they put themselves $30,000 in debt like they do here. 🍻🍾🎉🎊
