June 2023 in Google Sheets the "Data Validation" steps you show are not possible with the version I'm using. Data Validation in the program does not open the way you show and I can't find a pull down menu with "numbers" as an option. Do you have an updated video or an easy fix?
Hi Quincy, First you would need to update the Data validation attendance entry fields to go from 0-5. Don't forget to update your conditional formatting too. You would add another column in the array by adding the following between Year-Week and Attendance formulas in the Flatten function: &WEEKNUM(Attendance!C1:1,1)&"|"&text(Attendance!C1:1,"yyyy")&" - "&weeknum(Attendance!C1:1). This will give you headers for Week and Year-Week, I'm going to make a video to show you how to do this. Thanks for the question!
Hi I really find this helpful…. Please tell me how can I copy the. Sheet with same settings of data validation to multiple spreadsheets or sheets within same spread sheet
Hii.. how to make teacher attandence that can convert with student attandence? Especially if in some days,, the actual teacher is sick and we have substitute teacher as replacement.
how will this work for students in online classes taking multiple courses (which is standard for students)? i.e John is registered for 7 different subjects with 7 different teachers. classes are all online. also considering in a school each student will be at a different level. So level, subject, teacher differs for 200 students. what will be the solution?
When I made this video, I had a single teacher in mind that taught multiple classes. In the scenario your describing, I would use a google survey where students can self report which classes they attend. A similar option, have a Google Survey that teachers submit to once a day. All answers would have single drop down options to assure data consistency. An admin member can export that data to a google sheet to get analyzed. Each solution will have its pros and cons of course. It seems like a great challenge to tackle in a future video.
A god among Google Sheets
This was fun to follow and do. thank you!
I'm going to try this right now... I need to experience this fun trip!
You are so welcome!

I use Countif(Range, 1) for present and Countif(Range,0) formula for absent. Total Class = number of presents + number of absents

Can you please share this created sheet with me so that I can edit accordingly? Thanks in advance.
Hey Dobro, what does this "|" thingy do here? Would appreciate any clarification
the "|" acts as a delimiter in the formula to help split the information.
@@dobroskills9219But how do you type that?
Just in case anyone else is looking for this - it's the key above enter on the keyboard "pipe symbol"

@@dobroskills9219 okay, thanks for the report. yes it will be, a challenge.
Can I add comment to the cells
You can right click on cells and make comments in the data entry portion. the comments don't transfer into to other parts of the workbook.
I have a doubt
Can you elaborate?
DobroSKILLS, can I hire you for a gig?
