For me it was Patrick Bet-David. I guess maybe I aim a little bit higher but I'm comfortable with wanting to aim higher than parents.
Yes but always keep in mind, that's your roots. Honor those roots and learn from them because a lot of who you are and how you operate stems from them. If you speak with your parents in the right way and honor them - they will reveal the psychology behind their choices and maybe some familial history that will be beneficial to you. Respectful two cents.

Jay-Z would be as well. I remember him once saying in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine that he learned about budgeting and business skills from his past when he was dealing drugs. You can actually apply a lot of business lessons from Gangsters, Gangstas, Mobsters, Mafioso, Wiseguys,Drug-Dealers, Gangbangers, ''Gs'' and whatever else one wants to call them. What`s unfortunate is, if you look at many of the biggest criminal masterminds of all time, be it Al Capone or Pablo Escobar or one of the biggest drug kingpins in U.S. history, a man who once reigned in terror over the Baisley Park Housing Projects in Queens, New York and who would drive through the neighborhood with his cronies openly brandishing automatic weapons and who led the drug-dealing criminal organization known as ''The Supreme Team'' like Kenneth ''Supreme'' McGriff''(who is now doing life in prison for ordering the murder of New York rapper Eric ''E-Money Bags'' Smith'' , among other things and who was associated with 50 Cent`s rivals, Murder Inc Records and who is also believed to have ordered the 2000 hit on 50 Cent, not to mention that the characters Nino Brown and Majestic in the films, New Jack City and Get Rich Or Die Trying, were reportedly based on him) or a great many others, many of them easily could have used their knowledge and skills to do something more productive and positive with their lives and to be successful in legitimate and legal businesses. But there are absolutely valuable lessons to be learned from people who made the wrong choices in life. These 25 business lessons are indeed informative ones. I`ll have to start taking notes from these episodes with Patrick Bet-David.

With good enough reputation you don't have to fear others in the mafia without messing it up yourself. On the other hand if you messed up in the mafia, that's probably the last time you could mess anything up.
