The most important part about training core is mentally contracting your core/passive activation. Too many times I see people doing all types of core excersise with their stomachs loose. Tighten up, hold the tightness, THEN begin. When you start passively activating your core during every excersise you'll notice you don't even need to do a lot of core workouts.
@@savage1shorts fa sho. I try to tell folks this, core is something that can be worked everyday passively sitting down doing nothing. Tighten your core and your entire posture changes
Diamond push ups are actually not necessary, as they hurt the shoulders easier. You can simply push your hands closer than normal and still work the chest, without the heightened risk or shoulder injury.
@zorblin What works for you might not work for the next. Form, control, range of motion, flexibility, bodyweight, strength/conditioning, and experience are some of the variables involved in performing most exercises safely. Me personally, I've never had an injury from doing diamond push-ups and I do them from the chest and sometimes from the nose. I also do inclined and declined diamonds. That's all anecdotal but it's worked for me since high school. I wouldn't just write them off completely because they will work just fine for some. Just varies from person to person.

Though it’s been said, I want to reiterate how much I appreciate these to-the-point videos. Your content should immediately address your title. Period.
Defining your “lower abs” is honestly mostly accomplished by diet. Many studies indicate that it’s negligible when you look at the results of incorporate exercises that claim to “preferentially recruit” the low abs. Basically your entire rectus abdominis is recruited anytime you perform an abdominal exercise. Isolation attempts also incorporate the hip flexors as well so it’s hard to say one way or the other.
But in order to define a muscle it still needs to be developed to some degree right? Which in turn is what exercising would do. And then eating right would define the muscles you have. This short was more aimed at building the muscle not showing it, or 'development' instead of 'definition' atleast that's what I got out of it 🤷🏾♂️
