My take on Homelander killing Doppelgänger, as he’s transformed as him, is that, not only is he frustrated and angry with everything, he was built up by Stormfront. Even before that, he obviously thinks very highly of himself and places himself above everyone else. So, seeing “himself” down on his knees, being subservient to another, was an affront to him. He won’t stand for being dominated, so, he kills someone who presents him with this kind of scene, especially after all of the memes he saw.
i don’t see why more people don’t talk about this. Rewatching this i dislike frenchie even more than i already did. And then he goes back to his old love anyways this episode 😐
This is one of the episodes where we get to see how smart is stromfront. She disappeared back in 1979 and came back in 2019 with a new name, new image and clearly spent those 40 years learning and observing. She can manipulate people so easily because she knows what they want to hear and how to say it. She also knows about media as as she made sure vought erased all images of her that showed her face so only people from valeries generation could remember her.
1:59 you did see him do something. He pushed Homelander to the ground. Remember Homelander is insanely strong and he can fly. If you can ground him then you have ridiculous strength
Hey Pack, I want to get into your reactions but between the transparency level of the footage or just the CC at the bottom and the low level of the dialogue, I can't really keep up with what you're reacting to. I spend all of my focus trying to figure which scene you're on. Just thought I'd let you know.
Okay I'm fairly new to this channel. Got here when I found your reaction to the first episode of The Boys, and loved all your reactions and personalities. But I am only NOW noticing that Dani has what looks to be a Fullmetal Alchemist Ouroboros tattoo on her right arm and now I'm in love xD JKJK FMAB is my favorite anime of all time though and when I saw that I freaked out. I've been thinking about what my first tattoo is gonna be and it's either gonna be the Ouroboros or Alphonse's Blood Rune. Anyways, then ending of this episode is probably one of my favorite scenes in the entire show. Just because of how awkward, gross but funny it is. Homelander is SUCH a narcissist that when watching it, I honestly didn't know if he was going to let Doppelganger do the nasty to him or not, he's facial reactions were so confused, like he enjoyed seeing himself, but felt like he shouldn't like it, but wanted it anyways. And Doppelganger is just doing whatever he has to do to survive. The whole interaction between the two played off so well, and then when the scene turns, you immediately know what's going to happen. Antony Starr is such an amazing actor. I don't remember the last time, in any movie or show, a villain has made me so uncomfortable and so afraid every time he's on screen. Any time he gets even slightly annoyed, I'm on edge because it feels like he's going to kill someone. It's amazing how well he play Homelander.
When you said had his girlfriend run through, I went to the modern slang and was offended and confused for starlight until I realized you meant Robin being literally run through lol.
As scary as Homelander is, it's amazing how easy (or is it lo?l) it is to manipulate him. That last scene with Doppelganger was accurate, you could see it coming given his insecurities.
He didn't like when doppelganger said everyone loving him was his strength. I think if doppelganger had chosen his words better, homelander would have gone along with it.
I think at this point you gotta start looking past the awfulness of Homelander and appreciate the complexity of Homelander. Maybe I have the advantage of more information, but I mainly just pity him at this point.
The screen is so transparent, we only see random shapes now. The audio is so low we can’t hear a thing either. I know you’re trying to avoid a copyright strike but there’s nothing to see anymore. That’s a real shame! Also, Sam psycho smiling at fucked up things happening on screen is both extremely scary and a huge turn on! 😳😏
@@DazHotep6EQUJ5 reactions to what? You need to see what is happening so you understand why they are reacting the way they do. Yours is probably the dumbest question ever! Naw she was unfaithful. Homelander is piece if crap but season 1 to new season the way he is he just doesn't seem like will or needs to R anyone he gets off from being accepted and love and worshiped by people
It's quite clear it was r*** and I don't understand how that's so hard to grasp for some reaction channels. She came out of that room looking destroyed, not guilty like some people said. What kinda guilt makes someone sit in one spot for that long without moving? She's showing signs of trauma not guilt and by the way homelander was so quick to act predatory and smug to Becca shows that he enjoys having that power over her. And homelanders need to be worshipped has culminated into him thinking he can act without consequence i.e. r**ing a woman or slaughtering people.
it's just bad writing. But you are right it makes no sense for him to R anyone! Specially when he is disgusted with normal humans aka what he calls mud people.
Antony Starr deserves all the awards for portraying Homelander. He's so good.
Loved him since Banshee which is another great show
@@ThEmB0nEz Love me some psycho Burton.
Homelander may have convinced himself their encounter was consensual. He's a narcissist, so it's in character for him
He is also a sadist and lies without skipping a beat.

24:28 I will not stand for the Almond Joy slander! They're delicious.
26:00 Sam totally expected something else with "here's a quick..." lmao
14:55 I mean, Hughie did rescue them by himself.
It's not really a spoiler, Stormfront IS liberty.
The secret to a great relationship is both the guy willing to do anything for his woman and the women doing anything for her man. That’s love lol
Not gonna lie , i got jumpscared the first time i watch Homelander grab the neck of Starlight, thats how scary is Homelander.

I love me some Almond Joy, the only thing was that it felt like you where getting less then other candy bars.
