Also the wetter your hair before you use the rev air, the straighter your hair will be! I’ve been using my revair for a year now to stretch my hair for twist, like you said you’re going to get better as you get your technique down.
A couple of things concern me about the RevAir: 1) I see so many people spending most of their time moving it around in circles trying to get their roots dry. In the meantime, the driest, oldest, most delicate part of their hair, their ends, are sitting in that hose, already dry, continuing to be *unnecessarily* exposed to heat. At least with a traditional hair dryer, you can control when, where, and for how long your hair is exposed to heat. And with your hair hidden away in that hose, you really can’t really tell how hot 🥵 it is in there. 2) From what I’ve heard and seen, in spite of all the effort, the roots of your hair get dry, but don’t get nearly as stretched as the rest of the hair anyway.
@@hereforit2347 The heating component of the RevAir is at the top near the mouth of the wand so it is possible to control exactly where the heat is going. It is also much lower heat than a traditional blow dryer even at the highest setting.
Gorgeous hair!! 7 and high heat, 60 to 90 seconds will straighten you to the point you will not need to flat iron or flat iron on very low heat for beautiful straight and shiny hair, definitely a 'game changer'. Simply Tamika has the best demonstration on how to use The Revair!!
I like the fact that you don't have to brush while straightening with the revair. With my very coily texture, I always feel like conventional blowdrying rips through my strands, esp because by the time you get to the ends, it's already drying from all the heat blowing around and then you have to work 10x harder just to get the ends straight and it ends up creating more frayed and damaged ends. I've been using tension 6. I did hear that higher tensions can make the result stiffer, so you'll probably have to play around with the tension v heat settings to find your perfect combo. Your hair looks beautiful no matter if it's super flat or not. ❤
Hello Esther, thank you for that ! I will definitely have to play around with it, as the revair is not cheap and I think it will be a great tool for my hair regime.
I enjoyed your video. Your hair is beautiful. One tip that I want to give to everyone is that you don’t need to smack your flat iron plates together like that. It will actually make your flat iron wear out faster because it’s not a necessary step for the plates to be banging together hard especially when the plates are hot.
I just realized I've been natural 12 years as well and my hair is about as long as yours after many trials, color, success, failures, discontinuations of my favorite products lol. It's been a journey but I can truly say I love my hair now. Edit: I wrote the above statement before you started straightening. You definitely got me by a couple inches 🤣 my hair is like mid back well past bra strap but not that long! I say that because I straighten my hair about once a week and have managed to retain a lot of length. It broke off a couple years ago when I colored it but it's thriving now, even with all the heat. I need to invest in that blow dryer tho! Your hair is gorgeous!

What heat setting do you have it on? You probably need heat setting number two, right now you're just adjusting the tension which has nothing to do with straightening it I don't think other than it pulls on it a little more.
You should watch naptural 85! You don’t have to pull it all the way up to your scalp at first you have to leave at Midway of your hair and then for 45 seconds. After that take it out and calm your hair through and then do it again for another 45 seconds closer to the scalp so that you can dry the hair closest to the rooms. It’s a great tool and I love it better than a hairdryer
Also try using the cold shot on the dryer to set the hair after you straightened it with the dryer. I've only used it once so far, all new to me as well but from the videos I've seen I think it works equally as well on shorter and longer hair. You just have to learn how to manage it and I think what you did by going halfway up and getting the fluffier part of your hair works but I've seen others start with the lower half of the hair and then work their way upward, I believe that was natural 85, but that was only because that person was getting some Tangles on the ends. Hey Connie! I will definitely have to play around with it. Even after using it I watched more videos and found some new techniques, tips, and notes that I had not heard before. Don't get me wrong this is a very expensive hair dryer but used properly I think it will be a great asset
Hey SheRaw. So for the past few years I only trimmed once a year. 2022 solidified for me that in order for me to retain my length I have to trim more than once. I am thinking 3-4x a year. I found a wonderful hairstylist in the Ulta salon near me and I will go to her for trims only. Up until this year, yes, I only trimmed when my hair was flat ironed. I will still only continue to flat iron my hair once a year and I will have her trim on stretched hair.
What prosuct to use if you want to do a roller set after going the rev air route to save drying time. Faster dryi g time I n magnetic rollers I would assume & what product because moisture of SOME sort would be needed. This route beats air drying for 24-36+ hours.
Thanks for doing this review. 🤔 I was wondering if this product really worked. It's been advertised like crazy. Happy Belated Birthday Mya Karren!!!🎉🥂 I hope it was enjoyable. I hope you have a happy new year!
Girl, you have Beautiful hair. From what I can tell the section wasn't tight enough. That's why your hair didn't come out so straight plus your hair. Wasn't wet enough all that heat but taped and didn't help either. And I don't know what that clipping was with the scissors you was doing but your ears look bad.
Also the wetter your hair before you use the rev air, the straighter your hair will be! I’ve been using my revair for a year now to stretch my hair for twist, like you said you’re going to get better as you get your technique down.

May I ask what heat settings you usually use? I’m scared to flat iron my hair on too high of a setting.
I use the Rev-air on the cool setting.
Ok thanks for the video…it is really expensive, like you said just may have to play around with it. Like I have tried products that didn’t wow me but then they turned out to be amazing.
Hey Connie! I will definitely have to play around with it. Even after using it I watched more videos and found some new techniques, tips, and notes that I had not heard before.
Don't get me wrong this is a very expensive hair dryer but used properly I think it will be a great asset
Pretty hair! I love my Revair. How tall are you (just for a hair length reference)?
I am 5'2
@@KlassicallyKept ohh, okay. Im almost 5'8. If I can retain my length, I will be waist length this time next year. Thanks for replying!
@@FTYC2022 of course ! ☺️
do u find that blowdrying leads to bettr length retention vs airdryin
How often do you trim and do you trim only when flat ironed?
I used to bump my hair with hair spray. Every morning 😢
Is there any heat in the blow drying.
I use the Rav-air on the cool setting
Hip length hairrrr
my next goal !
Did you turn the heat dial to 1 or 2.
I do not remember.
Where did you purchase it ?

Your hair is so beautiful. 😳😀🤗💓
Thank you
What prosuct to use if you want to do a roller set after going the rev air route to save drying time. Faster dryi g time I n magnetic rollers I would assume & what product because moisture of SOME sort would be needed. This route beats air drying for 24-36+ hours.
I am sorry but I do not do roller sets
Thanks for doing this review. 🤔 I was wondering if this product really worked. It's been advertised like crazy. Happy Belated Birthday Mya Karren!!!🎉🥂 I hope it was enjoyable. I hope you have a happy new year!
Hey SG. Yes it definitely works, just have to fine tune for me! Happy New Year to you as well
Girl, you have Beautiful hair. From what I can tell the section wasn't tight enough. That's why your hair didn't come out so straight plus your hair. Wasn't wet enough all that heat but taped and didn't help either. And I don't know what that clipping was with the scissors you was doing but your ears look bad.
Your hair is beautiful! But, I like it better natural.
thank you

❤❤
Thank you
😮 why spend $400 for a once a year use?
I use it now more.
I think you're using too much Heat Protector
I do as well. I will not use as much next time
💖👍👍👍
You’re so pretty. Remind me of the actress Shari Headley but you’re prettier 😊
Thank you
I think you got to add a oil before you blow dry it.
I will try again in a couple of months lol
😅
Leave it on one section for at least a minute don't keep removing it right away
Put in your filter!
thank you, I did
Too much product
