    If we can spend $300-400 on lace fronts and frontals we can spend the same on getting our real hair right! 💯💯 I'll definitely be investing in one myself and get back to my natural crown. Straightening my hair is was mostly the reason why I started wearing wigs again especially after it grew and had gotten so thick. But this!!! Yassss!

    Totally worth the investment, I spend more than that getting my hair braided a few times over a 4 month period. People kill me! They will spend $100-$200 here and there for hair style but won’t drop $400 for something that will last for years and you can have it natural and wear blowouts you can achieve at home. Hilarious.

    Had mine almost 4 years. Been pretty much consistently using it every 2 weeks for almost 2 years. Length retention on 100000!
    We have similar hair textures. I use level 7. 8 sections. Each section I use low heat for 15 seconds, run my Kazmaleje brush through it. Then go in with high heat for 30-45 seconds. Cool shot for 5 seconds.
    Takes me about 20 mins for my whole head.
    The key is to apply all of your products ahead of time.
    When in the shower I apply a spray leave in, then heat protectant, then a small amount of serum. Then put the section in a Bantu knot.
    When blow drying, I Bantu knot the blow dried sections to keep the stretch cause my hair starts shrinking fast like yours lol

    Thank you for this review. I’ve seen other reviews but we have a similar hair texture. I’m a swimmer that would like to blow out my natural hair without the tension of using a conventional blow dryer and brush. I like how it can leave the hair fully stretched for a flat iron or hot rollers or fluffy enough for a good twist out. My hair isn’t nearly as full/thick as yours so it would take me about 10-15 minutes max.

  • @jamesbennett8637
    @jamesbennett8637 Год назад +1

    Use the highest tension and the highest heat setting which is actually low compared to other blow dryers while holding the wand to your scalp until the roots are dry and you will have excellent results!
    My hair was loose when I received my RevAir and now it’s locked and I can dry my 3’ x 1/8” diameter loc’s in 15 minutes! Then I lightly mist/oil, braid for texture, dress and remove the braids fluff and go!
    This the greatest for fast growing natural hair!🎉

  • @nicoleprice8552
    @nicoleprice8552 2 года назад +8

    I put my hair in bantu knots for a little while because I notice that stretches the ends a little better. It makes a difference.
    I put my revair (original) tension on 7, do low heat for a minute, then high heat for 10 to 20 seconds, then low heat for another 20 to 30 seconds. My hair is super coily, fine and medium density. I do it in small sections and it takes about an hour. I might be able to complete in less time over time. Trying to figure out to keep my arm from getting tired. Might need to work out with some hand weights.🤔

      @@lisaj4441 I know exactly what you mean. Ignore that other comment. We obviously know that heat evaporates moisture. As if we needed to be schooled on that 🙄. I'm pretty sure you're talking about how tightly coiled hair tends to look stiff and sometimes even brittle after using this dryer. It's not the normal "dryness" that you see when using regular blow dryers. I think it comes from the fact that you aren't supposed to use any (or very minimal) product before drying your hair with this. That's one of the things that gives me pause about buying it. I already have to deal with tangles and breakage. Drying my hair without using significant moisturizing products before hand is a disaster waiting to happen, no matter how much I detangle before drying.

    From all that I've seen Revair is an excellent dryer, and it did a wonderful job on your hair! I've watched Revair for a long time, and I'll probably watch it for a long time to come. However, I can't bring myself to pay the cost. For me, it isn't practical because I don't even remember the last time I did a blow dry on my hair. I usually use a diffuser, or a hooded dryer to dry my wash-n-go which is what I wear almost all the time.

      @@vee3133 how do you feel your hair is? I’ve been keeping my hair stretched during the week and wearing wigs. And keeping my hair stretched and using hair oils, my hair has grown and thickened so much! Like I notice changes in 1 or 2 weeks. I have 4C hair so this is a safe way to keep my hair stretched with no heat damage and it’s actually helping me retaining my length.

    I purchased a RevAir 2020
    My clients like it however it take more time then a professional comb hair dryer or professional blower with concentrator using a denman brush. Also it is heavy lol. However I do like the RevAir

    • @KandidKinks
      @KandidKinks  2 года назад +2

      I could see that because you are trying to make sure the roots are straight. My stylist says she prefers to use a handheld blow dryer and brush for the same reason

      @@KandidKinks I agree with your stylist.

    • @kjb3221
      @kjb3221 2 года назад

      It’s also probably because y’all are used to a handheld with the brush and since the revair has learning curves, it may take awhile to adjust to the right setting for every client. I can see it not being great for salon use but makes it easier for personal styling.

    I want one even if I have the Dyson, so I am waiting for the 220 volt with UK plug to be sold in the Republic of Ireland to be released. Now that is smaller than the previous version it has become a viable option. The price is high but I look at this as an item that will last even more 5 years, as people owned the previous model for 6 years and still using it to this day.

    Thanks for making this video! I didn't know they came out with a new smaller model. I have been a little curious about the Revair for a while, especially wondering if it has a lower potential for heat damage than my current dryer with the comb attachment.
    Is the hand held part of the Revair still heavy? I know that was a complaint a lot of people had with the first model.
