By using a peltier cooling element, an ordinary fan can be cool as air conditioning.

Unfortunately, you don’t seem to know much better than he does. What you are talking about is heat transference. The cold temperature from the peltier, now directly conducted to the heat sink, just needs to find the best way to transfer through the system. Having it “face” the fan isn’t the solution. You are thinking in terms of either direct temperature conduction (like with a heatsink) or radiation transference (for which a tiny peltier cooler wouldn’t be able to do). The only possible improvement would be to make use of the heatsink by having wind blow across it to dissipate the cold air that is just sitting there turning the humidity into ice on the heatsink’s vanes.

Saya pasang kipasnya ditoko tetep sama, gk bisa mendinginkan ruangan. Sama aja, kurang efektif, mending pakai kipas semprot air, lebih sejuk.

So, you're just moving the heat (a very little bit of heat - peltier elements are extremely inefficient) from a fan, to the container, that's located about 2 feet away in the same room you're trying to cool. Not to mention that the peltier element generates its own heat, so in the end you're just heating up the room (of course you might not notice it, because the fan is blowing the air towards you) but nice try anyway.

It doesn’t look like there is any air flow across the cool heat sink. There is no evaporation, therefore little cooling effect. I suggest you have the fan blowing on the heatsink.
Sekedar masukan, membuat AC pemakaiannya seperti Lemari Es yang pemakaiannya PLN nya tidak banyak kira 2, 150 wat, itu di kembang kan, jadi walau kanibal alat nya tidak berbahaya dan tidak menambah kerja'an, semoga di coba dan sukses.

Maaf to the point aja.
Terkait keilmuan kita kudu jujur, jangan sampe orang Indonesia terus2an dibodohin.
Dimana2 konsep pendingin itu memindahkan panas dari suatu tempat ke tempat lain, bukan dari suatu tempat kembali ke tempat itu sendiri. Makannya tiap AC ada sistem buangan termal di luar ruangan (ac outdoor). Bahkan kulkas pun demikian, bagian luar permukaan kulkas pasti panas.
Terkait video:
1. Elemen Peltier mempunyai kemampuan heat transfer sangat rendah. Untuk 1lt air aja perlu 3-4 jam proses pendinginan, apalagi angin yg alirannya cepat 🤦
2. Termo digital jelas lah suhunya turun klo di tempel d sisi dingin elmen peltier🤦🤦
3. Kebalik lagi peltiernya😑

You just have an aircon in this room..thats why the temperature decrease to 14°c .. the peltier hot side is attached to the fan so it cant decrease the temperature..
I feel its robust design, yes the Heating side faces towards the fan side but with mini water radiator and cool air surrounding it neutralize it, understanding the Fans mechanism it sucks the air from the backside, so when the air sucks it has to flow through the Cool side and thus it distribute the cool air almost evenly. the heat will not be more than 50 deg, while operating it almost neutralized and on the other end we will not get the freezing output, Purunjadungala Danalakshmi

Owh baru faham..sbetulnya haba panas itu hanya ketika awal mulanya saja..apabila sirip sejuk itu mulai sejuk beku,maka yg sebelah panasnya sudah tidak terasa lg..ada pun cuma sedikit,tetapi akan di buang haba panas melalui air itu.dan sirip di sebelah panas akan biasa² saja..kemudian kipas akan menyedut udara sejuk dari belakang ke depan,jd ruangan hanya merasa sejuk sahaja kerana panas nya tidak terasa apabila sebelahnya sudah membeku

getting cold air from the HOT side of Peltier ... isn't strange... ICE is behind the Fins of Fan and HOT heat sink is at the table fan... HOW DID you do that? the thermal sensor should be at front of Table Fan.

just use a bucket of ice water and pump it through a pump and use a CPU heatsink and fan blowing at your direction. Even simpler than that :P

wow! I dont know where to start... your cooling the hot side of the peltier with water... which will eventually equalize to a constant hotter temperature and reduce the cooling effect of the peltier module. then you have a heat sink on the hot side water cooler attached to the fan, which will pull hot air off of the heat sink and introduce it into the moving air stream. the cold side has very little connection with the air stream of the fan, and will most likely not even change the outgoing air stream by any quantitative amount. last but not least, your temperature probe is connected directly to the cold side of the peltier, which yes, will give you a drop in temperature as long as the water will stay cool, but does not measure accurately, or in any manner the change in temperature of the outgoing air stream. maybe a re-evaluation of your efforts is in order. just removing the peltier setup you have on the fan will probably give you better cooling, or better yet, staple a bag of ice to the back of that fan, it seems to be more in your wheelhouse.

@@gagai786 ive made it. And what he says is deffinetly true. He is litterally blowing hot air with the fan generated by the peltier, while measuring the cold side which doesnt reach the airstream

Interesante proyecto y muy didáctico, yo probé distintas configuraciones con Peltier por dos años, pero lastimosamente el rendimiento del Peltier es muy bajo, no funciona en la vida real como se muestra en el vídeo, si lo quieren hacer los invito a que prueben, es muy agradable practicar con los Peltier, pero si solo van a gastar y hacer esto por qué necesitan refrigerar un lugar NO LO HAGAN van a tirar su dinero.
En mi oficina de trabajo tengo un A/C pero no me gusta dejarlo todo el día encendido , buscaba un método de enfriamiento más pequeño para la PC , y viendo tu comentario, entonces necesito evitar intentar hacer la prueba como se muestra en este video?

Peltier module, satu sisi panas, dan sisi lainnya dingin itu adalah kenyataan. Masalahnya, panas dingin dalam satu ruangan yah sama saja haha.
sisi panas peltier "diturunkan temperatur-nya dengan waterblock (memakai sirkulasi air) dibantu fan sink.. justru itu lebih efisien, semakin rendah suhu pada sisi peltier panas-nya, maka semakin rendah sisi peltier dingin nya..
kalau pakai fan+sink tanpa waterblock, akan menghasilkan suhu ruang (efek panas vs efek dingin beradu)

Pls someone explain me the working on how is the fan working as an ac because the side which showed formation of ice on heat sink is on the other side of the fan blade...so in that sense it will give out warm air and make the room warm instead of making the room cool...i cannot understand..someone pls clear my doubt as i am going to make it..

This device transfers the heat from the air (on the fan) to the water in the bottle. So it can cool down the air blow from the fan, but can not bring the temperature of the whole room down, unless you bring the bottle outside of the room.

Then how about the drips from the cooler? It is directly going to the fan's motor, I know there's a cover, but on the switch for the swing it has a whole, good luck with that.
Did you try to boil water? because I think you set it up wrong. Water cooling would require cold water, and I think you put the casing on the hot part of the peltier element.

Sorry but this is completely useless. You are just warming the water AND the air.
The air flow goes through the cold and hot side of the Peltier chip. And I am pretty sure the hot side is winning even with the water "cooling" system (as it is only a very small quantity of water that will heat up super fast) meaning the air is warmer with your system than without.
You should put the Peltier chip outside of the room with the hot side attached to a radiator and a fan so that the heat produced by the chip is not kept in the room but released outside.
Then, you attach a water block to the cold side of the Peltier chip and another one on your big fan (with another radiator attached to the water block).
Finally, you run water using a pump between the 2 water blocks, the water will be cooled outside thanks to the Peltier chip and will then cool the air going through your big fan.
But, anyway, your chip is only about 60W so it won't do no good. You would need a lot more power to feel something.
You'd be better off spraying water through the fan with the pump and a sprinkler or attaching a mist maker in front of it directly.

Banyak yg bilang sih "Kok sisi panas mengarah ke kipas"...
Klo dari pemikiran saya, panas dari feltier akan di reduce di water block,, kemudian diteruskan ke heatsink besar yang diarahkan ke kipas supaya semakin dingin,,,tapi sebenarnya heatsink cuma menerima sedikit hangat, karna air di water block sirkulasi dalam jumlah besar.... Jadi fungsi air disitu supaya panas heatsink tidak sampai ke kipas.. nah sedangkan sisi dingin kok di belakang ? Itu menciptakan tabrakan sperti aerodinamic. Udara di belakang kipas menabrak heatshink dingin dan berbelok ke kiri kanan atas bawah yang kemudian berlanjut ke kipas dari semua sisi...
Itu sih pemikiran saya.

Iya sistemnya bener bgitu bang, air dari bawah disedot dgn pompa menuju Waterblock peltiernya yg bagian panas, utk menjaga suhu bagian sisi panas peltiernya agar stabil, lalu setelah dari waterblock air akan kembali ke tempat semula kemudian akan disedot kembali, dan begitu terus utk seterusnya.

pake peltier bisa dngin, kalo komponen ditaruh diluar ruangan. caranya buat bak air, air yg dingin disirkulasi ke dalam ruangan, letakkan semacam radiator/expansi didepan kipas angin. seperti ac besar di gedung2, cuma kalo pake peltier nggak yakin bisa ngejar suhu rendah untuk sirkulasi air 1m3 saja...

A very long time, if ever, as the Peltier module is mounted with the cold side facing away from the fan so the fan is pulling heat from the hot side of the module through the fan blades!
Also, the frost collecting on the heat sink fins will eventually begin melting and dripping into the fan motor and causing a short and possibly a fire!

the heat sink is attached to the water module that is fitted to the peltier modules hot side.
it means the heat sink providing hot air due to connected with hot element.
if you connect the heat sink with coold side the may be it works.

this video use a wrong method
I've seen it done with multiple methods. The ones that can act similar to a window ac use insulation pads with ice inside a insulated enclosure but it generate a ton of condensation so they can't be used with anything electrical for safety issues.
This seems similar and can probably work at lowering temperature a tiny amount at the cost of dimishing returns. It's also a humidifier which comes with health issues, mold, fire hazards
I have tried this years ago using my Dewalt blower and a extra NZXT closed loop water cooler. It worked well inside an enclosure and wouldn't do jack shit to an average room.
Stick with a ac if possible.
