Not a long story short! I was in Scotland with my two best friends in 1992. With an old Mercedes and three mountain bikes on the roof rack. We changed locations three or four times and parked the car on campsites ("place your car there - so we can have an eye on it" - and it really was almost free - unbelievable) and then set off on our bikes. Each of us had good camping equipment - everything was good. Those were the days of the Sony Walkman (and now I'm finally getting to the point). After we had put up our tents in the evenings (face to face), and pls don't laugh now - it was 1992!!! We used a stainless steel bowl from our camping equipment as an amplifier and tried to position our headphones cleverly so that we could hear RUNRIG as loudly as possible! OMG - Those were the days my friends!
The stripped backness of this REALLY highlights that Rory has some lungs on him. Good god, he sounds amazing. No missed notes, even though the man must be knackered!
The culmination of four and a half decades of amazing Scottish talent on display. Particularly love the sound of his voice echoing off the Castle walls at the 3:11 mark. Beauty defined ! .. Astounding performance !

Hello from Edinburgh! I had my first & only chance to see Runrig at The Last Dance. A Friend travelled 550KM. The crowd at this concert was at least 25,000 Marvellous time we had. Lots more travelled from much further afield
Been a fan much since1998-99 and never left them being a descendant of two scottish clans myself, one of them being Clan Bruce born though in Yorkshire england hence the Yorkshire Rose
I first saw Runrig in a tiny room in London School of Economics early 80's, then on a boat in Bristol Harbour to 8 people and in a tent in Isle of Skye.
I would have loved to have been there that night. A truly awesome band. Seen them a couple of times, don't know a word of Gaelic but the words are so intense 💙🏴
I was never a big fan of this band but this song is terrific. And the guitarist is SHIT HOT! I saw them at Fife Aid in 1989 and still remember this song.
Runrig were marvelous i had the honour of seeing them many times including the headline show at loch lomond a full day music festival do fir people who dont know about them check out capercaillie and hothouse flowers music, the balloch show was outstanding and i thought it was a nice touch to have the radio dj tim ferrie introduce them as he had been playing runrigs music for yesrs to get their music to a bigger audience what a night that was,the only thing that beat that was the following year we went to see runrig at the manchester appollo and were dis usdi g were to get something to eat when the guys were on the tourbus at the side of the venue and we had a wee chat and got some autographs really nice guys everyone of them
