my 14 month old HW100 for no know reason droped to around the 9.4 ft-lbs range, not happy as you can imagine, contacted the place I bought it from to be told out of warranty etc. I contacted Hull Cartridge, I know they are not a repair outlet for the joe public, but they did offer to look at the rifle for me and do the best they could in regards to labour cost, which I was happy with, they just asked for the shop I purchased from to sent it onto them. I got the power back up to a constant 11.3 ft-lbs, I read comments about the grease used on the hammer spring at manufacture can go to a sticking mess, I'm thinking what on a new bloody gun that dates to 2023 via the serial number, I took a look by removing the trigger unit, it looked perfect to my eyes, clean as a whistle, yes there was some evidence of grease but it was minimal and clean looking, bear in mind I've not put a tin of pellets through it yet in my ownership. Before reluctantly seding it off, to end up with a bill for what is a new rifle. I removed the air cylinder just to see if there was anything obvious going on, I've not had need to remove it before and it was not leaking in the slightest, followed the instructions in the manual checked the seal all looked fine, screwed the cylinder back on, making sure it was snug and put it over the chronograph, I could tell without even looking at the chronograph that the power had increased, previously it sounded like a weak fart, this time it was the normal muzzle report, sure enough 11.34 ft-lbs constantly over ten shots, been testing it for the last couple of weeks and still good. I did remove the cylinder again, this time I decanted all the air, the manual does give reference to doing this check for any moisture etc, all was good, fitted it back in the rifle and filled back to 200 bar, still good three weeks on. So what has brought the power back up 🤷 it was sat unused for a few months in its rifle bag, was it lack of use ? not sure as I put numerous pellets through it and it never went above the high 9's, the cylinder removal and refit is what made an instant change / improvement. Just to add, I did clean the barrel, this made no improvement when it was down on power.
my hw110 just as accurate as my hw100 mags are so easy to load no double loading issues, changed my hammer spring 3yrs ago to hw100 tuning one never moved from 11.5 and shot thousands of pellets I get same results as yours at 40yds no problem look forward to you getting second camera thanks for making videos👌
Hi Ray, Thank you for your latest air rifle review. I've always understood the Weihrauch HW110 to be the plastic equivalent of the Weihrauch HW100. I went off it when you spoke about power loss, which surprises me with the Germans. We are so used to their top, top, engineering, design, and manufacturing excellence. If I was galloping past on a horse, I'd probably think it was an HW100, as they're quite similar. I like the location of the safety catch. However, the loss of pressure put me right off. I don't think that should be happening at Weihrauch's place in the game. I think I've heard of that before, and there's nothing worse than trailing backwards and forwards, organising and waiting for repairs when you could be out there enjoying your shooting. In all honesty, Ray, it doesn't float my boat, like the Weihrauch HW100 does, or the Air Arms S510 series, or the BSA's R10SE/R12, etc, etc. Coupled with the use of plastics and polymers, generally, with great respect, I'm not over keen, though maybe the inclusion of plastics and polymers was reduce its weight? With great respect, Ray, I'm not overkeen on this one. Thank you, and best wishes, Ian.
@Camelotscountrysports Hi Ray, Yes, I totally agree. However, I heard in general that over time, the HW100 is much better of the two. I'd guess in general, two similar air rifles, one made from metal, the other from plastics and polymers for whatever reason, may not be as popular. I think by any standard, Weihrauch are world leaders in air rifle manufacture and need no introduction. I wondered if it may be an ongoing problem with the HW110, with repeated journies to the menders that nobody wants. That's what would put me off. Thank you, Ian. Ps. I've just read your comments, which look very encouraging, and I'd like it to do well.
Absolutely a beast of a rifle.. Really out of the top draw..I've had my rifle tuned by HW100 tuning and no issues with any kind of power curve..I know people ask..why have a new rifle tuned? But the difference is amazing..
Great vid highlighting the power loss problem, my mrs's was no exception and had it fixed quickly, personally I find the magazine loading a bit of a faff over the straight forward mechanism on its sybling ( HW100 ) Why couldn't they have kept it the same, don't want to dwell on the differences of both, as they are two different models and not to be compared, it IS a good rifle though, and contrary to many people's beliefs is NOT in any way shape or form better then the HW100, the pellet test results you have are what I would have expected from the 110, kinda " average "... Could maybe have tried a few more types too run through it though.. Excellent vid, keep up the good work.. I'd give the HW110T a .... 6 out of 10

Good review as always. Any concerns about the plastic / polymer and how it holds up over time ?
