Cool little cabin Bill. Definitely need a door on the solar shed. That would be expensive is someone helped themselves to your generator and solar system. Thanks for sharing
@@AppalachianFarmstead yes I agree but when the door gets put on, I doubt I'll put a lock on it. Very few people up in that area so a thief has days to steal whatever they want.
@AppalachianFarmstead I'm looking into getting a couple but even then it won't stop thieves. It is too remote. It would take police over a 1/2 hr to get there if not over an hr.
I was going to look into who named that Mountain Mckinley on google to see I was told it was my great uncle William McKinley but I want to find out first
@ how did mount Mckinley get its name ( The mountain had been unofficially named mount Mckinley in 1896 by a gold prospector and officially by the government in 1917 to commemorate William McKinley who was president of the United States from 1897 until his assassination in 1901) that’s what I was told when I was in my early twenties

Hey there Bill! Do your feet ever get cold? It’s great that the solar system is there and a backup generator. What a beautiful view you have! I’m glad you had a safe trip to the cabin. It was great catching up with you!
Occasionally my feet will get cold if you keep moving or riding then your feet stay warm. Plus my boots/ socks are pretty warm. I'm glad you liked the video.
Hey there Bill! Great tour, I don't think I've ever seen the loft. The pull down attic steps are a good idea for the cabin. How do the batteries hold up in the summer heat and winter cold?
@@MattsGarage1791 thanks Matt. The cabin is just so small, the attic ladder was the only option. The batteries are sealed lead acid so the do just fine in the hot and cold.
@@frankepperson5699 sorry about that. It feels weird recording in public. The bar is really nice, I have recorded in there in some of my older snowmachining videos. The pizza is as good if not better than anything you can get in the city.
Finally someone that parks close to the door to unload sled
Lol yeah, that's where I park. Why park far away and carry everything in the snow. Lol. Thanks for watching
Love the tour Bill, great off grid Cabin and area around you.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the tour. I'm going to be building some stuff on my homestead this winter and doing some Alaska adventure stuff.
Thanks for the tour! Hope you enjoyed your time there. Thanks for sharing!

It's named after the president McKinley. But has officially been renamed back to It's original name Mt. Denali.

Cute cabin. Congratulations, it looks like this video is really starting to take off.
Thanks Ray. This video and 2 others 3 and 4 videos ago. Finally figured out thumbnail is most critical and then the title.

Nice views from the cabin. Do you have to worry about Theft there? Looks like a lot of things to disappear .it wouldn't stay put long in Atlanta ,Ga!
Thanks! Theft happens every 1/2 dozen yrs or so but isn't a big concern.

Hey Liam!

You have a nice property out there, why would you not build your homestead there instead of Willow? That would be my choice for a permanent residence.
I was considering it but decided to buy in Willow. Planning on a mini homestead at the remote cabin eventually.
What is the name of the place that has pizza?🍕
@@TwoBits76 the place is called The Forks Roadhouse.
