Something I have to mention here is... Navigating through our IRs inside ML plugins could be better if instead of opening an external window, we could do it through a list inside the plugin, also having < > arrows would be so helpful
Already added to the feature request list! Thanks. :)
just got done using this and the Mick on 2 different songs. just CUTS through the mix!!!!! just fantastic work Mikko and Kai!!!
Thank you for the nice words! They're really just so easy to work with. :)
Mikko. The drum preset would be great plz and thanks!
I actually shared it in the recent video description! Check it out!
These are indeed true 🔥
They feel a bit flatter to ''play'', so at first you might feel like there's a compressor at the end of the signal chain... but it's very different since the dynamic is still fully there (the compressed effect is only the lack of bumps and gaps, which can be felt in comparison with ''unbalanced'' IRs). So maybe some users might prefer playing in solo with regular IRs for the extra ''oomph'' you might get.. but Reflex IRs sound so balanced when mixing, or simply when jamming over backing tracks. They are not lacking of anything. They sound full, clear, detailed and most importantly... BALANCED!
You might not ''always'' notice when frequencies are fighting with each other (especially when you're focusing on your playing and not just mixing), but you'll definitely notice the weird effect of everything sounding even and ''pre-mixed'' (I mean.. GOOD weird). It's similar to when mixing subtle ambiant synth layers in a song... You might not always ''hear'' them in the mix, but if I you mute them, you'd definitely feel when it's gone. With Reflex IRs, the whole song just breathe freely! I even found myself using less post-compression (if any) even on dynamic guitar tracks, since every single note is cutting through.
I've read quite a lot of skepticism and negative comments about these new IRs (and always from people who clearly haven't even tried them).
Not to sound like a fanboy, cause I always make my own opinions based on personnal experience... but anyone still thinking it's a gimmick should really start believing in Mikko.
Why would the CEO of a very successful company cast doubt on his credibility by making a claim that he isn't really certain about?
I've been playing guitar and mixing/mastering music obsessively for over 20 years... but I instantly understood as soon as I tried them in my latest mix.
I'll post it on ML Sound Lab's facebook group soon.
Cheers! :)
Those drums!! Cool!!
Thank you so much my guy!
no doubt, that clearly angry sound, so good!
Stank face guarantee!
Best sounding of the 3 imo.
Yeah it sounds phenomenal! However, If you have the Mick 77, you gonna be surprised how good the 906 mic sounds with this speaker-cabinet configuration.
Thank you Paul! 🙏
-Kai
Yeah this is the one I would have picked if I had to choose, but since I was curious about the DV77 I ended up getting the bundle deal 😅
That's a really good trio of speakers! That's awesome. :)
@@mlsoundlab yeah in graphic loaders like Libra/Cabinetron I always find 3 to be the magic number to get the blend I want so it works out 😛
Anything over 4 I feel like I don't have as much control
That Soldano in the background... ready for the Vorna treatment? ;-)
Hahahahahha... I've had a bunch of Soldanos over.........................................
It ain’t easy being green.
